Kilkenny hotels & accommodations
i recommend this hotel to all who pass through this area the staff make guests feel welcome we where upgraded as it was a sspecial day for us. the linen was beautiful which made for a very comfortable rest. the breakfast was first class. upon departure the reception checked on our next destination and recommended the druid glen well done. terrific i recommend this hot...
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was a little further out from the center than we expected, but its a very reasonable in good weather. In not so good weather, always a possibility in Ireland, the hotel has a good deal with a local taxi firm. The only thing we found inconvenient was a lack of heading and hot water during the afternoon, which meant wee had to wait until...
The afternoon tea is definitely to be tried as a special treat. Breakfast is a fantastic spread as so much choice and fresh. Room 147 was a comfortable clean room with a lovely view of the surrounding grounds. It also is right upstairs from the gym and pool. Very close travelling distance from Kilkenny city. We would stay again.☺
The hotel itself is a nice one... breakfast very good, staff the same but it is a 25 minute walk into the town and if you are getting a taxi it is €10 each way.. Kilkenny itself was amazing - the people are so generous - spoiled for choice in eating out but would stay in the centre when visiting again.
Pros: Kilkenny is a charming town northeast of Dublin. The main attractions is the multitude of churches, Kilkenny castle and cute town centre. My stay at the Langton's was great; the hosts were friendly and hospitable. My room was spacious and clean and on the main floor which was a relief as I was carrying lots of luggage! They quite a few options for breakfast so y...
Good sized room here, but the staff weren't the friendliest. The breakfast was quite good, but the room was small and we were crammed in against the wall.
Including an old church in its premises, this guesthouse is part of a rambling complex of restaurants, nightclub and betting shop. The restaurant where breakfast is served looks like something out of Lord of the Rings. Note of caution to Italians and others who take their coffee seriously - the brown water they serve at breakfast at the Kilford Arms is so bad I had to ...
Great location, near transportation, in a quieter area but an easy walk to the main area of town. Wonderful staff, friendly and accomodating, even checked on me in the morning to make sure I was all set for a day trip I had planned. Nice to have the bar and entertainment available right downstairs, but didn't hear any noise in the room. Will stay again next time I visi...
We went to Kilkenny to enjoy the Catlicks comedy festival. Had a lovely long weekend at this hotel. The spa facilities were good, the bar was nice, we didn't taste the food though. Our room had dual aspect windows which made it a nice bright room, and there was a large bed!
This is a design hotel with a very nice restaurant, the room was clean and nice furniture. The breakfast was in the Hotel cafe and also very good. The hotel is located quite in Kilkenny center so perfect for sightseing and nightlife. Parking is free of charge - always positive. The highlight is the restaurant, had a very good dinner at reasonable price. I would chose ...
On arrival hotel was closed. Phoned number displayed at hotel 4 times, left messages with no response. Evetually got hold of someone to be told" the lady that runs The Gate Lodge is off today, you will have to look for accommodation elsewhere" No offer was made to book us into one of their other local hotels. We did have a confirmed booking. The International Arts fest...
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Laragh House. Helen was a terrific host and could not do more for us. The B&B was within walking distance to the centre of town and tourist sights. We are happy to highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Kilkenny.
This place is on the same road as Kilkenny Castle and about 1 km from it.The room was large, breakfast fantastic, owners helpful and a large car park re parking. It is value for money and would stay again if in town
