Lucca hotels & accommodations
This will be my 'go to' hotel in Lucca. Situated adjacent to the old city remparts and gate, it occupies an ideal location for a gentle stroll around the shops, many cafés and restaurants, or an exploration of the city's rich cultural heritage. Besides all the attributes of a top standard hotel, a very friendly professional welcome and support, an elegant décor, the hu...
We stayed for two nights whilst traveling around Northern Italy. Lovely place to stay if you want to visit Pisa too. Only took us 20 minutes to drive to Pisa & visit the leaning tower, so we arrived before all the tours and didn't have to queue. Hotel very clean with free car park & excellent free Wii Fi. Short 15 minute walk into Lucca which is very pretty, but we enj...
Pros.....lovely clean hotel just outside the city walls. The reception staff were amazing. They were so helpful. Room nice. Cons...,poor quality food served at breakfast which doesn’t match the standard of the hotel. Cheap tasting products and naff coffee but if you can book room only it’s a good choice
There is no dinner available so you must either pay EUR40 for an intern to drive you to and from restaurants nearby (7 mins ride one way) or you must have your own car. The pool is very nice and has a lovely view of the countryside, the rooms are also very big so we think it is good value. The downside is the mattress is way too soft it hurts our back.
While the hotel is not an easy place to get to and a good 2.5 miles to Lucca, the location is a small gem hidden from the bustle of the city. The staff are better than 5 stars and the food exceptional. Take time to enjoy the surroundings then go see what a beautiful f city Lucca is Magical!
The owner supervise the hotel staff herself, she is a very good and kind lady. All the staff is very good, majority are ladies and there behaviour to customer is extra ordinary. I recommended this hotel to everyone and If I come to this city again I will definitely live here again.
Hotel located conveniently outside the wall with free parking. Lucca is a beautiful city worth a visit. Staff was helpful with recommendations and tourist attractions sites.
A very comfortable B&B not far from the closest gate of the wall to the train station. The room was clean and comfortable. Lucia who was super warm and welcoming, made our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Bikes can be rented from her for 5 euros/day. A small fee by comparison to the bike shops which charge as much or more for an hour! The building the B&B is in is a tre...
good apartment with cold air con, a space to cook with fully equipped kitchen.
The town of Lucca was close by and the staff were most helpful with what to see and where to park the car so as to enter the centre of Lucca. This help made our visit to Lucca most enjoyable. Upon departure, the gentleman at the desk suggested we might want to stop at Monteriggioni on our way to Sienna. This was a delightful castle to visit, which we would not have sto...
The room I had was comfortable with a large double bed and all the usual required facilities. The only problem I had was noise from foot traffic outside the hotel late at night so next time I will ask for a quieter room at back of the hotel. The hotel owners and staff were very friendly giving the hotel a nice family atmosphere and the continental buffet breakfast was ...
The Hotel Palazzo Alexander is in a great position within the old town of Lucca one of my favourite places in Italy. As we had some spare time we decided to retrace our steps of 10 Years ago so we caught a Flix Bus to Lucca from Siena luckily we chose the right place to stay Mario and Gabriel his son looked after us beautifully, clean room, great breakfast and they help ...
Hotel staff were very friendly and assisted easily on request. Ideal location as a base for Tuscany. Lucca is a beautiful city.
We loved the Villa and will return when next we're in Lucca. The people that run the Villa were lovely; the room was great and as I stated above the caffe lattes with the morning breakfast were wonderful. They were very helpful with restuarant recommendations and pointing out things to see and do in and around Lucca. Good parking which is so important when traveling ...
Extremely pleasant, but not spectacular in terms of view or location. Will come back happily
Located in the heart of Lucca behind closed doors you feel like your in your own private property. Rooms were a good size and clean however our room had no shower. I would go here again.
We only stayed one night but found this to be a lovely little B&B, short walk into the main town of Lucca. The decor has been updated since the pictures.
the location of the b & b is great, just outside the wall and about 15 minutes walk from the train station. the b & b owner spoke good english and gave us good advice and recommendation to places worth visiting. the room is spacious and clean. breakfast not too bad.
Lucca beautiful old Tuscan city great food and wine, you will find something for all budgets, parking is a problem so ,we paid 25€ a day in parking garage there is public parking in blue lined area on meter but very busy, lovely old town well worth the stay.
We were so positively surprised when went into this amazing place. Personnel were very nice and friendly. Atmosphere was wonderful - it was real Italian home! Breakfast buffet was very delicious - prepared by the house wife. It was just perfect staying in B&B Casabiancalana. Thank you so-so much, dear personnel! Greetings from Estonia :)
The elaborate, almost oddball Arthurian decor was more suited to a weekend getaway than a business trip, but the comfort and modern appointments made it fine for my business trip as well. Helpful staff went out of their way to accommodate me.
Is a family run hotel with 4-5 rooms. Host are nice and helpful. Room is clean and spacious. Also located in the city centre. Great for traveler who wanna spend a day in the city
Very enjoyable and enhanced my enjoyment of a beautiful and under-rated Italian City.
Overall execllent to take a rest, near famous attractions relating to Puccini. Great service attitude but food at breakfast a bit need to be improved.
hotel location is very good just in front of Lucca train station. Room and facilities are sufficient. Breakfast is superb with many choices. We would stay there again if we visit Lucca.
We spent two nights and I definitely believe it was the best choice. Very close to Lucca downtown with free parking and with a very good restaurant nearby. The owner is managing is the place perfectly, offering nice rooms and a great breakfast. Do not miss it, it is a great place to stay.
Lucca In Villa is in a good location just outside the city walls. We were greeted by the very personable and helpful proprietor, who let us store our luggage due to our early arrival. She answered our questions and also gave us a good map. After exploring the city, we returned to find our bags left in our room. The studio has an efficient and well-equipped kitchenette....
Great location , good breakfast & friendly n helpful service . Nice & modern room. Should have stayed longer in Lucca & in this villa !
Staffs were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. Artist-looking he picked us up at the Lucca train station. When we found out our 3 suitcases were too big for the car rear space,he immediately put our third suitcase into his BMW! ( While we were worried if it may scratch his leather seat, he cared more about our comfort. He asked if we were okay sitting back...
We had a wonderful stay. The room was spotless and stylish, and came with its own living room and terrace. Great shower and wonderful breakfast. The staff were friendly and lent us a guidebook to the city. Complementary minibar drinks and a room safe were nice bonuses and all in all we could not have asked for more. The location, right in the heart of the city close t...

Great location for exploring Lucca, just outside main gates. Comfortable room, communication and meeting up with host was easy and hassle free.
We only stayed one night but found this to be a lovely little B&B, short walk into the main town of Lucca. The decor has been updated since the pictures.
This place was one of THE cleanest places I've been to for a hotel or hostel in Italy. The location was not hard to get to and the owner was nice and explained everything well. We had the room that used to be a kitchen a hundred or so years ago, it was very rustic and we loved it! We were given slippers to walk the halls and go to the bathrooms, which was very nice....

Perfect place to stay in Lucca! It's a very easy and pretty 10 minute stroll into Lucca. Was hesitant to stay outside the wall but I am SO glad we did. As cool as the city is, the surrounding country side is gorgeous and this place let you see the best of both worlds. Also, it's only a 15/20 minute walk to the train station so you really don't need a car here if you do...

We loved it! Relaxing and inviting environment.
We had a bit of trouble locating the hotel at first, as it was quite hidden and had only a small sign outside a main door that leads to other apartments as well. As we had arrived after 7pm, the hotel staff already knocked off but left a note of instructions and room keys on the counter. Upon entering the room, we were pleasantly surprised by the decoration intended...
It was just a stop at Lucca for us, and as we were driving being just outside of the old town was convenient for us. The staff is super helpful and welcoming here. If you are coming via train and you got big suitcases the walk (and stairs) via the station may be a bit challenging. I would avoid if one is elderly. But if you are driving its a breeze - parking is easy ...

Great location once you find it. No screens on windows and without a fan it can get stuffy. Was eaten alive by mosquitos. Garish room color and a bit noisy but with earplugs you can get by. The "breakfast" consists of a basket of tea or coffee pods but without a fridge for milk it was useless. There is no management on site, so no way to really complain. You must r...
Fantastic staff. Super informative and friendly. The rooms were very clean and stylish. The breakfast spread was incredible. Stay here!
funny place with a very friendly & helpful owner. location outside the walls of lucca so be prepared for a walk or rent a bike :-) my room was facing a road, hence pretty noisy, unfortunatelly. strange interior but clean and good quality. good but basic breakfast. generally value for money, but not as convenient as it could be.

The place is really pretty, exactly as shown in pics. As a solo traveler, euro 90 may be a little steep but I truly appreciate the host's helpfulness when she offered to drive me to the train station, which would otherwise be a 20-30 min walk with my heavy backpack or a 10euro taxi. Bikes are also available rental free. The host even gave a map of the Lucca city and su...

The property as such is quite impressive but we had our room booked in the annex to the main house, don't expect luxury from the annex rooms

I would be happy to recommend this hotel. ideal for a romantic break. The breakfast served in the room each morning was a nice touch. If I were to visit Lucca again I would stay at Palazzo Rocchi.

The Lucca old city is fabulous to visit and to relax. The best activity is to walk or cycle all the way around the top of old city walls stopping on the way for a picnic and to take pictures.
Lucca is really nice. Just eat at trattoria da Leo and everything will be ok haha. No but really there's enough to see.
