Penghu hotels & places to stay

The owner of the guesthouse is friendly and nice! I just went to Penghu without plan, but they suggested it for me and helped everything even booking of activities! I can’t drive, so I rented a electric bicycle. So funny. I am still grateful to them for this trip. The place is clean and modern. They have three children, soooo cute. Don’t worry they will not bother you. Go to make a booking! I will book here again when I go to Penghu!

The whole trip starts from the owner's punctual airport pickup.Location of hotel is quite convenient,which only takes 5 minutes to get to the central of MAGONG. Variety kinds of breakfast and tasty drinks from the most famous restaurant are provided by warm-heart owner.Facilities also surprised me a lot,the building designed in a impressed modern style,affiliated with a enormous yard which could do some barbecues if you have informed the owner in advance. Besides,It is hard to imagine that someone can not have a sound sleep at night,as the surrounding is really quiet and the shower system matches perfect. Appreciated for the comfortable experience offered by Spring Villa!

To get to the city area you need to either hire cab or walk like 10-15mins. The staffs were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! They will go all the way out to help to book our itinerary (coz we decide only quite last min). They offer advise and was patient in explaining to us on our choices of activities selected and got the tour guide to pay more attention to us (as we are not taiwanese). Was surprised that we were actually staying in the area where 2 mega stars (Pan An Bang & Zhang Yu Sheng) stayed during their childhood times and the accommodation was 1 of the places of interest. The yearly firework is also walking distance from the accommodation to Rainbow bridge. Oh another additional point is they will be opening a cafe and a japan style bbq stall in the accommodation. I will DEFINITELY stay with them again if i visit Penghu!!

It was my first time ever to penghu island even though I've been to Taiwan itself many times; the hotel had free airport pickup which I do appreciate and the staff also helped to arrange a tour guide for one day and I enjoyed the tour of the islands very much. The room was quite spacious and through it was quite basic but it fulfilled most of my needs. Only thing that I didn't quite like was the breakfast as they only offered vouchers to the nearby fast food restaurant so I had to eat burger breakfast for 3 days in a row. Taiwan especially penghu islands surely can come up with a better breakfast than that.

Booked the hotel for IRONMAN race on Penghu Island. There are many grand hotels around, but this is located right next to the harbour. Provides free transport from MaGong airport, next to great local taiwan delicacies and walking distance to the only shopping mall on the island. if you want a decent great place to stay, close to ready available food and easy to walk about. I recommend Bai Chin Hotel.

the b&b is located in magong city, but a bit far away from the city center. nevertheless, the staff can drive you to the harbour for any excursion you may have and then pick you up. distance is not really a problem and a taxi from the city center to come back to the b&b is really cheap: 80 nt$ (about 2,5us$). motorbikes or cars can be rent in a walking distance from the b&b. the owners are really nice and helpful! they helped us organized our trip in penghu, coming up with a full of itinerary suggestions. room was spacious and clean. the only thing missing was a lift. it's not very convenient to climb up the stairs if you're travelling with heavy luggages.

Booked this hotel at the last min due to our previous advance booked Hostel was overtaken by some bugs infestation. The place was a little inconvenient as it is quite some distance away from sightseeing spots and convenience stores, but bicycle is available and rental free. There is also a free airport shuttle service which have to be informed to staff in advance. Room is clean and spacious with comfy beds. Definitely recommend for few days stayover~

Probably one of the highlights of our visit to Penghu - our hotel. It was located 15-20 minutes from the airport, by the jetty, and at the heart of the city center. Every night was spent just casually walking around the vicinity for things to eat, drink and see. Our receptionist were really helpful and helped us with our plans around the island every day! The hotel also provides an airport shuttle service during working hours, which was the main reason why we chose this hotel in the end. (But even without the shuttle, the cost of a taxi is NT200). Lastly, the room was very very very clean. We loved our hotel. Thanks for having us!

Despite the fact that communication before the visit was quite demanding (language and technical issues) the hostel bought us boat tickets that we paid after arrival. It was really helpful and managed without any fee. On arrival it turned out that we will stay in other place, it was a bit surprising, but kind lady drove us there and location was even better. Room was small, but clean, bathroom was a bit uncomfortable but also enough for a short stay. To sum up, at this price it is reasonable place to stay and You can expect helpful and friendly service but do not expect any luxury!

Calamari is one piece fan hostel as I can see the one piece model character being displayed. Also, when it comes to one piece, the place is located facing yhe harbor which you can see the boats and ship. Front desk staff speaks good english and very attentive to your needs. If you need more privacy and easy access, Calamari is best suited for you. Just a few walks to mos burger and mcdonalds if you are not fan of local delicacies. Definitely stay here on summer time.

This place would be a good stay for travellers who planned to rent their own car/scooter and has well planned their itinerary in Penghu. Due to communication mismatch, we mistaken this minsu to have one-day travel packages but was only offered a tour guide book to figure out ourselves. Wifi is also not accessible if you stay on their highest storey (5th floor) which is the room we stayed. Other than these, everything else is pretty good. The room is cosy with daily housekeeping. Quality of breakfast is top-notch as owner made an effort to bring you famous breakfast food in Penghu. The minsu owners are also friendly people.

It's true. The host treats you like family. You will not find a nicer host. This inn is located north of the main part of town with views of water on both sides. We spent 2 nights/3 days exploring Penghu. The host provided great tips. His English is functional but limited. But that's why you have Google translate to help with communication. There's free filtered water to refill bottles. Laundry machine available, but you air dry outside. Good, reliable wi-fi. There's a comfortable communal living room on ground floor. No kitchen to use. The only reason you wouldn't stay here is if you want to be walking distance to restaurants , shops and other amenities. If you have scooter or car, it's only 5 min drive to 7-11, 10 min drive to main part of town, or 15 mins to the boat pier but far enough where walking isn't convenient. Host can arrange taxi if you don't have your own transportation.

Very pleasant stay! Comes with free hotel shuttle limo service (need to confirm with hotel beforehand)! Location is great, within walking distance to Makung town enter. The room is bigger than expected, and the view is spectacular.! The room is even equipped with blue lights, so it feels comfortable for sleeping even when the light is turned on. Breakfast was ok, they offer simple meals like congees and toasts. Staffs were friendly and helpful, as they would help you to keep the keys when you're out, so no hassle for risking losing your keys. Penghu sure is a beautiful place, sure will visit again sometime :)

Highly recommended for couple who like a quite place and not far from the city. Owner are very friendly and helpful and also paint the place with beautiful art inside and outside the hostel. Very convienence as there is a 711 and a restuarant which cook delicious food about 5min away from hostel. Owner will recommend you to rent a bike as that the best way to travel in Penghu cos public transport only operate on weekend.

We stayed in Penghu for five nights and really enjoyed the food and sightseeing despite that most shops in remote areas close. We can't express our gratitude enough to our host Tina, for organizing everything from breakfast to travel advice and even a scooter for free! She also upgraded us to a bigger room for free given the size of our luggages😅 No need to climb stairs with our suitcases as it has an elevator! The property is located at heart of Magong with great harbour view. Ample of eateries for locals or tourists are just stone throw away. Highly recommended!

the best part of the stay was the staff- although the only person who could use english was a manager. manager was great, he helped us with everything, was very friendly and willing to support us in our travelling. we werew picked up from the airport without additional charges and delivered on the airport sfter the stay. manager helped us to book airpalne tickets and to rent a scooter. hotel is not close to the sea but it is a walking distance of 15 min. very close there is a supermarket and a backery. although the breakfest is very basic it is delicious- we were looking the same food on the other parts of the island but could't find even similar to that one. furniture in the room is old but teh bed is very comfortable. room and bathroom are clean. the only thing problem was with air-conditioner that we were unable to switch on and off (it is probably opearted by the staff). unfortuantely interent is only in the reception.

We loved our stay at Sea View Villa. The location near the beach was perfect, especially since it was a bit stormy so we could run outside and enjoy the ocean whenever the sun came out. Breakfast was super delicious every morning. Our room was clean and a good size for the two of us. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave great recommendations for what to do in Penghu and helped us call cabs when needed. The only downside I can think of: there aren't a ton of choices for restaurants nearby. Other than that, our stay in Penghu was perfect! :)

This hotel is located steps from the harbour on the Main Street of Magong City, Penghu. The room was nothing special but OK for the price. The best features of this hotel are location and price. The staff was also very helpful, albeit with limited English language skills, but this is the norm in Taiwan. The breakfast buffet was very poor, unless you are a fan of congee. Otherwise there is only white bread and cold hard boiled eggs. We stayed here for 5 nights and from the second day we were given vouchers for breakfast at McDonald's every morning, which is only about 3 blocks up the street. Penghu Island is absolutely beautiful with pristine beaches and crystal clear water. The locals are very friendly and taxis are cheap. Overall, ever Spring hotel is a good value for a short stay on the island for budget conscious travellers.
