Traveling to Thailand? Find Satun hotels

We booked for 1 night through Agoda, and decided to extend our stay. It is a relatively new hotel, so there are still some construction being done around the hotel, but it doesn't bother us at all. It was raining when we stayed there, so decided just to stay in and laze around the hotel. The hotel does have direct access to the beach, however, I wouldn't recommend it for swimming. The beach area was not kept well, lots of broken glass bottle. please put on your shoes while walking on the sand. the breakfast buffet was adequate. Good food and we really enjoyed it. The area is very quiet at night so you will get a good rest there.

Hotel staff picked us up at the Jetty. The room with a balcony facing the see was spotless and spacious. The coffee shop served excellent very spicy food. It is rather sterile but we discovered on day 2 we could sit outside in the garden. Rented a very cheap motor bike from hotel to explore the waterfall. Front desk was helpful even though English was limited. Pak Bara is not a destination but if you lay over here on your way from Ko Lipe this is the place to stay.

The guys at Best house saved our butts, we got stranded an hour away in Satun and apparently all the taxis decided to stop running at 5pm. We managed to borrow someone's phone and called the hotel, they sent someone over ASAP and picked us up!! (For cheap). The guy was really nice, then they upgraded the room for us, gave us a free lift to and from some street stalls up the road and then sorted our ferry out, couldn't have asked for more. It's also a 2 minute walk from the ferry terminal, and that's what we really needed. Perfect place for crashing a night before or after a ferry, and fantastic value for money. Thanks guys!

I stop by at Satun to have border-run because don't want to be in a hurry. Pretty much great price here for what you'd get. If you are looking for quite, peacful and have your own privacy. The rooms are fully clean with good food . I think - it's one of the best you can find in Satun City. Staff have been very generous and warm, hospitable .You just ask and they will try their best to accommodate. and It's great to have a place like this. Spend more dollars but got superb in return.

I stayed at V Valley resort for couple days. The resort is very nice, clean, and scenery is very peaceful. It is suitable for the city. I and my friends about 10 people are very welcome from the hotel's staff. They were professinal service mind and taking care of us very well. I and friends will certainly come back here again. For anyone who find the hotel to stay at Satun, V Valley Resort is the best choice I recommended.

Booked last minute early morning but after few hours the price has dropped RM5! The room is spacious with carpark basement. Bathroom also big equipped with soap,shower cap n clean towels. Mini fridge,two set of coffee sachets n water bottles. Cons,room dark because lack of good lighting system.All bicycles got punctured tyres,left only one working. Used to ride around cave park at back of the resort.Staffs are very helpful. Located at strategic area in Satun,near highway. Good for stopover going to Pakbara Pier. No doubt will choose it again when come to Satun.

Best choice of hotel if u are in Satun by Saturday nite as the night Market is just at the hotel door steps. Ample free parking for those drive in here at the back of hotel. A bit old building but the room is very spacious and big king size bed, one of the staff Abdul kader was very helpful as we suddenly stucked in satun as my wife suddenly in labor while we just arrived for holiday to pak bara... Overall the price is fair

The welcome was friendly and efficient and the staff were helpful at all times. My gripe with this resort is the bungalows need updating. The shower cum toilet is tiny and only has cold water. Every time I went in there I was expecting to have to share it with the local wildlife. .. luckily it was a cute frog rather than something more sinister. There is no basin to wash your hands so you have to use the shower which is not convenient. I'm a cat lover but having cats yowling on my veranda all night doesn't put me in the best of moods. Breakfast was very basic but when I ordered a meal it was delicious. Yes this is a cheap option, and it was clean, the bed was relatively comfortable and bottles water was provided, I was left wishing I had paid more to stay at one of the other resorts.

The Resort was easy to find, as it is next to a main road. The lady who met us was very friendly and helped carry our luggage to the Chalet. The room was well laid out, but there was only the bed to sit on to watch TV. There was one news channel in English, the rest were Thai. A kettle and 2 sachet`s of coffee were provided. The bed was quite comfortable, but I am used to firm Thai beds. The bathroom was quite small, but adequate. Outside on the front patio were two chairs and a small table, where breakfast was served in the morning. Breakfast was a fried egg, 3 hot dog sausages, a salad, toast and jam and orange juice. My Thai wife, was given a choice of rice soup instead. The Chalet`s are set in a beautiful, well tended garden. There is a restaurant on site, that serves both Thai and Western dishes, at very reasonable prices. The only downside, was the noise of passing traffic on the main road. It is a good 3 star Resort and I will stay there again on my next visit to the area.

perfect place for a stopover while heading to Ko Lipe. Super helpful and friendly staff (they even help you to flag down the right minivan on the streets to reach the first ferry in the early morning), cozy beds, strong ac. But it might be hard to find this place, as their sign is written in thai only... it's 200m off the main road (Satun Thani Rd) on the right hand side. If you're in front of the hospital, turn around and search again.

1 night Stopover for ferry connection . Nice break for me from the city and tourist areas that I normally visit. I in fact cut my holiday short after a couple of days at my last stop Ao Nang. I think I could have spent another couple of days here in this part of Thailand although was told not much to see here. ( never seen honesty like that in city and tourist areas) Toilets are very basic like village but was kept very clean and since room is en suite it's up to oneself on hygiene .

The minibus that i took from Suratthani arrived Satun very late! I was a bit worried as from review that i read, it mentioned that many people don't know about the place! True enough but straight away the problem solved once i asked the driver to call the number on my voucher..the owner of the dorm, told the driver to stay wherever he was and he collect me from there..It's less than 5min, he showed me place to have dinner, which is only less than a min walk from his place. The room was super clean, the towels fluffy, the details of amenities was impressive.. the fresh water shower was great! It's surprisingly clean for a shared type! also showed me the water heater and coffee pack which i can help myself with.. In the morning, i sat at the veranda and enjoy the village start its day with a cup of coffee in hand.. I feel like being at home!! Definitely stay there again whenever i visit Satun..

We love our stay in DD resort, we booked 4 rooms for our family trip. All the rooms are very neat and clean. I love the landscape and the building layout. Cosy place to stay but it's quite far from town so you need your own transport. Very quiet and serene place. The staff was very helpful but they dont speak malay or english. But can always google, no problem. Satun is a very nice & safe place, a calm town and the ppl are so friendly and very helpful.

Located in the northern half of Satun, about a 25 minute drive from the Langkawi ferry. On the way there we got a ride in a local bus for RM50 per person, on the way back reception could have booked a private taxi for RM300, we flagged down a bus after only a 10 minute wait for RM100 per person, no bargaining. A very new and well maintained hotel, modern rooms and facilities. About 30 minutes walk from more central Satun, though there are lots of small places on the way. Ti Baan restaurant is by far the best food in Satun and is 35 minutes slow walk. For a more budget option for backpackers we were shown Ons Guesthouse which would have been fine, One Boutique is a few levels above this. Staff are nice, limited english for some but clearly learning and trying hard.

Pros. Near the sea ambient. High tide see sea water, low tide see sea of mud. Toilet clean. WIFI is ok. Cons. They don't speak English. Only Thai. If you speak Thai, don't go unless you want chicken and duck conversation which is frustrating. Rooms small, air con compressor noise bad. If it rains, no power and water. Bed is hard. Breakfast is local diet. Can't eat their breakfast. What is listed in amenities is not accurate. No TV in room. It's a nightmare if you don't know how to go there. Get proper direction beforehand.

I booked for one night and extended one more night because I couldn't catch the boat to the island. I recommend you to have good condition of legs. Because it's located on the hill, so the view is wonderful especially on sunset time. My Happy time was in the morning with nice local breakfast, I recommend you to try Ro-ti (Thai name) I love it, can eat many pieces. If you need to get cleaning room you need to put the cleaning label infront of the door to let the staff know or tell the service desk. the things they need to improve is if there is a small supermarket around there it would be better. The hotel is around 10mins to the port as well as nearest supermarket.
