Well organized hotels. With good common kitchen, suana and gym. Value for money.
For short-time stays, it seems perfect: located right next to the bus station, so when you're e.g. coming through Tallinn, you are basically brought door-to-door from the airport. The room (double for single use) was spacious, had desk space for the laptop and enough space for clothes. I didn't use the spa facilities. The breakfast wasn't anything memorable for a veget...
I absolutely loved it. It's a beautiful hotel in old stile. Staff were very accommodating , food was excellent ( warm home made bread !)new bathroom and shower, not like in other hotels in tartu. Valet parking , wifi, central location , couldn't ask for more ! Very happy !
well, the idea was to stay in budget and spend one night in the centre of town. i had been there in 90-s, when it was "top notch"-place in tartu. problem is that basicly nothing has changed. ok, it was clean, polite stuff and more or less enjoyable breakfast...but it was "old". sorry for being honest!

location is not ideal unless you're traveling with your own vehicle (which we had), must be some 5km from the tartu center. regardless, the hotel is nice, rooms are quite large and definitely clean, we had a nice "living area" with sofas in ours. walls are rather thin, so bring earplugs if you're not heavy sleeper. our room had a blinding curtain. the breakfast is good...
the room was too small, we had a huge traveling bag and there was no place in the room where to place it; the bed was not really comfortable
Vikerkaare is a hotel in a very large residential house with many rooms. We had a nice cosy room with a bathroom included. It's furnished simply but friendly, so we felt right at home. It's quite close to the train station, but quite far from the city centre. So you would need a car to get around Tartu.
We booked this thinking it was an apartment with seperate room however it was a studio. Spacious and would be great for a couple traveling. Clean and great location.
