Where to stay in Yilan
Yilan hotels & accommodations

Thank you for making our first time visit to Jiaoxi a very good one for helpful, courteous and greeting staff at front desk during our check-in, checkout and returned to collect our stored luggage in the evening. All the staff were different we met each time and they left good impression with us, thank you. The public hot spring pool looked good but we had our planne...

It was the perfect start to a girls weekend with my best friend. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was beautiful even though we got the most basic one, and the cold/hot springs were the best I have ever experienced in a private setting. They pipe the waters directly to your room and your skin feels so wonderful after a nice soak in both tubs. The bathr...

We are a family of 3 with a 21 month old boy stayed at Silks Place Yilan Hotel for 4 days (3 nights). We chose this hotel because our son loves cars! However, he is too little to ride on the auto cars as he couldn't step on the peddle continuously or to steer the wheel properly. As parents we either band down the whole time or to choose those non-auto cars. The sl...

This is the first hot spring hotel I stayed in Yilan and it was one of the best I stayed from my trips in recent years. Everything is perfect is except the hotel is a bit too dark (maybe that is concept of this hotel) but sometimes it gives me a creep😅 Cleanliness: the room is extremely clean and organized when we first arrived. We stayed for two nights and every day...

Definitely one of the best hotels in Yilan. Room is spacious and clean. Hot Spring in the room is very nice. Restaurant is ok... can be better I drove with my wife and 2 year old son... the car park is spacious and easy to park. I will return soon!

I and my friend stayed japanese style room cause i have 10 months old baby. we were totally satisfied room condition and hot spring. in the morning we were in hurry so i left my baby pants. i called to the hotel and asked whether they can mail it to me. the staff who name was eric wang, he helped me to find it so i let him know my shop address in taiwan(now im living i...

The hotel was new, love the Japanese influence rustic interior. I arrived to Jiao Xi town in Yilan by train from Taipei, Google map able to give a very clear direction and I am able to get to the hotel less than 10 minutes. The front desk staff members were very friendly. Check-in was efficient, although my room was not ready when I was there (I arrived at 1:40pm and...

hotel located 5mins walk from the train station which we went to Yilan and the coach station which we travelled to Taipei. The room has an air condition problem and it leak water like heavy rains on the first day, the hotel offered another room to us. In fact, the 2nd room has a larger bath but the 1stroom has a bigger bed and more spacy. We visited the restaurants t...

Beautiful hotel and great service! The scenery surround the hotel is breathtaking! The Air is crispy clean! U dun even feel like u are in Taiwan! its Heaven on Earth! The room are just equally amazing and superb clean, the bed are so comfortable u just feel like sleeping on it after having a great time in the hot spring. The service is great except that it is very cro...

Great location! Just behind the center street that you could find lots of food (famous Jiao Xi 蔥油餅) and convenience, which it's also where Tangweigou Hot Spring Park is situated. Suggest to consider Jiao Xi as an overnight stay if you visit Yilan, very worth the stay with around or less than NT$4K for a quad room. Staff service was excellent from the moment we stepped...

The location of the hotel is excellent. Less than a 2 mins walk from the hotel and you will see Jiaoxi Train Station which brings you to Yilan and Luodong. To the main street, a good 20 mins walk allows you to walk past many nice cakes and souvenirs stores including pon.com.tw (奕顺轩) and cakenobel.com (诺贝尔). The hotel has a very nice ambiance and kids friendly, havin...

I am hardly to meet such bed service from any hotel's reception. In 12/24 pm 14:10 I gave their reception a phone call. B/c I planned to go out and I hoped someone come to make up my room. So I called No. 9 to the reception. the one who picked up phone answered in very unfriendly and no patience way. I feel so uncomfortable to talk with that women. Honestly the hotel...

Very impressed with this boutique hotel. It's a hotel rather than a B&B and had underrated themselves by naming it B&B. In Yilan, you either stay at Jiaoxi for the thermal spa (I recommend) or close to night market at Luodong (There are much better ones in Taipei). This ISPAVITA was the best hotel of the 5 we stayed in Taiwan, and we selected on Agoda ratings 8 and ...

A nice, modern, clean hotel with very good service, professional staff and a very nice breakfast buffet with a very large selection of things. Obviously this is a good hotel for families with small children - they even organise special parties for them. However, the location of the hotel, though calm and nicely laid out, is terrible. There is absolutely nothing around...

This is a new hotel. I chose this hotel because they offered a surprised present. It's rather nice. The room was ok and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast is amazing. It's a pity we did not use the hotel facility much. Bathroom is simple but I wish there's a trash can under the sink.

All staffs are approachable and attentive to your needs.. hotel provide tea-break which is awsome. Although the room is abit small but it's clean and nice.. comfy bed and pillow. Onsen in the room. The best hotel during our entire trip in Taiwan. Strongly reccomend for travellers going to Yilan. Near to train station ... public foot spa .. clean small town with alot...

If it’s your goal to escape anything and everything causing stress in your life, take a trip to Taiwan and visit Jiaoxi Maple Leaves Hot Spring Hotel in Yilan County. Around an hour’s drive from Taipei, this is a tiny town with fantastic hot springs. This place is the best respite from work, technology, trendy crowds, malls, school, and so forth. The room is very spa...

This time we visit Yilan. First night stayed at RSL. The best hotel to stay in Suao .....is here! With cold and hot springs bath tubs, sumptuous dinner and breakfast, a relaxing massage, very friendly and helpful staff, will definitely come back again!

Convenient location, staff very helpful. The ice blocks in the 24 hr snack bar were a highlight with so many flavors. We were tourist from overseas and not familiar with local area. We got a bit lost at night, so we called the hotel for help. They offered to come and pick us up. Unfortunately, we had to decline their offer because we were travelling in a big grou...

First of all, I have to say the prices of wow happy hotel is very affordable. This time, my boyfriend and I booked a double-standard room including one day breakfast for two people which only cost less than NTD$2,000 per night. As we known, Jiaoxi is a rural town, but the level prices here are high because it is one of famous tourist attractions in north Taiwan. So, ba...

The location of the hotel was great as it was within 5 - 10 min walk from the Luodong Night Market. Even though we only stayed for a night in the hotel, we were pleased with the quality of service and the clean room that was provided to us. One drawback of the hotel is that there was no proper cupboard for us to hang our clothes. Nonetheless, the room was clean and the...

Location is fantastic. Located across the street from the front of Luodong train station (back is the bus station). Just 3mins away, super convenient. There are tourist bus that brings you around Yilan from the bus station. Hive hotel is on the right side when you face the road (with the train station behind you). Just after a bubble tea shop called MILK SHOP. Rooms ar...

This hotel is only one year old. I am sure it is the best in this small town. Most of hotel staffs are kind but lack of experience. I believe it is due to lack of training or lack of good management team to lead. From service point of view, I would rate 2.5 stars. Breakfast is ok. Dinner is way below average.

Yilan train station was only a 5~8 mins walk away, and the night market is just across the road from the hotel, how awesome is that! They open till around 1am, and there's just lots of good food and shopping in the area. A grocery store is located nearby as well. Breakfast is superb too, a must-try is the 'lu rou fan' or braised meat with rice. You may also like to...
Cheap places to stay in Yilan

The host is very friendly, know lots about Taiwan and they will help you whenever they can. They used to be a backpacker so they understand you and they are designing this hostel from the shoes of a backpacker. This hostel has a hot water pool where you can enjoy after a long day walk of the town and personally I find it Awesome!! Thanks for having this hostel in Yilan...

Room was slightly smaller than I expected for the 4 bed room, however the spacious bed, head space while sitting on my bed, and general capsule space made up for it. Really clean rooms and beds, with a big locker right outside my room, and a small one beside my bed that is big enough to fit my backpack. Good location, ~3 minutes walk from bus station. There is also...

we booked the deluxe room in this lovely place for an overnight stay, passing through Yilan on our way back to Taipei. what an excellent find - this place is super super clean, very charming modern furnishings, very well kept, very nice staff. in a quiet area (although only 5 minutes driving from the famous Luodong night market), almost amidst rice fields, a nice villa...

all rooms are very clean and the location of this hotel is perfect to go surfing. the host always borrowed me the bicycle. so it was easy to go surfing. actually i went to taiwan alone, so it was difficult to find some place. cuz i cant read chinese... but the host taught me how to go there. thanks to her, i could go there easily. if u wanna go surfing, and wanna meet ...

Exceptional homestay/hostel with a human touch that you'll rarely find in a typical hostel. This place is newly renovated, rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, and the living room has a relaxing atmosphere for people to gather and chill. The host and staff treated travelers like friends and shared useful tips on interesting things to do nearby. Dali is a little known ar...

It was awesome. Great customer service. I had no itinerary at Yilan. The frontdesk staff did not hesitate to recommend places of interest to visit. One even drew a map on how to get to a particular place. They cater MacDonald's breakfast for guests. They gave me the wrong burger. I didn't realise that I had pork burger, instead of chicken burger, until I took a bite....

Never having traveled in Taiwan before we had no idea what we were going to get. The location is an easy bike ride to the main part of town and in a nice quiet area. Mr Wang was amazingly attentive and helpful even coming to pick us up at the train station a few times. The food might be good for local standards not sure but didn't sit well with our western palate whi...

Friendly, helpful & kind staff ever my whole 15 days trip we met. However location is a bit hard to find. From station need take abt 15-20min to arrive accommodation, we had took taxi every trip which cost us most in transport for 3 days to stay in yilan, every min cost of taxi is tw 120 onwards

The room is big, quiet and comfy. Can choose Yilan Happiness Inn, if you want to stay longer. Good location for railway station and LuoDong night market. Thus, if you don't have idea about the attraction of LuoDong/YiLan, they will recommend and explain about the attraction and transportation. They are super very friendly and helpful.

Honestly, this is an old hotel with very traditional methods of running the place. The owner/ boss is a very very sincere and kind man, he tried his best to accommodate to our requests, and gave us many recommendations to the nearby night market and eateries. The room was very basic, it has all the bare necessities, although a little aged but they worked perfect. On t...

We booked via Agoda, and could not really find the hotel exact location. Have to contact host and guided us. There is no hotel signboard looks like a “love hostel” in hidden building lots. We were the only occupants thus quiet and total privacy. It’s near Luodong night market and eateries which is a plus point despite abit far walk 10min from main train station.

hotel is located just 3mins drive from jiaoxi train station. you can choose to walk that as well. the hotel room is really big, beyond my expectation for the price i pay. condition of the room is better than the average taiwan rooms you will get around taiwan. breakfast is delivered to your room in the morning, at the time you request for it to be delivered, which ser...

It is very near Luodong night market. According to the address, you only can locate the coffee house below this minsu. You have to call the owner to bring you up, anyway not a problem as owner is very friendly and helpful. For the amount of money paid, this minsu is definitely worth the stay. It is clean and spacious, there's water dispenser with hot and cold water. The...

we book this B&B very last min via agoda. thus we ventured into the location at about 8pm in the night. The owner didnt have a prompt notification thus they werent expecting us. But she was real nice to help us as well. prepared breakfast and help us on the road condition as we were heading to hualien direction. The bed was a bit too hard for us thus we didnt rea...

Staff was helpful in ushering us to the property as well as providing us with helpful information to navigate around the night market. Location is strategically close to Luodong night market (it turns into a morning market during am) where one can easily find good food and shopping. Check-in and check-out process was an ease. Room is also spacious and clean with comfor...

clear, tidy, comfortable, relax hotel room. Good design of hotel room & public SPA pools. Hi-speed Wi-Fi facilitates travel needs. Dehumidifier machine in room suits the need of long raining weeks (all the wet socks & shoes can be dried by dehumidifier machine in room). Hotel near railway station to facilitate travel to other places of Yilan. If the livehotel price lo...

Highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly staff, went out of their way to help. Excellent rooms, excellent bath room and nice bathtub. The breakfast was magnificent. The playroom for kids was great too. Overall, definitely would stay here again if we had the chance to visit Yilan, Taiwan again. It is my little son's favourite hotel.

We loved everything about Loherb, especially how much effort the local hosts take in going the extra mile for their guests. They serve complimentary western style high tea, all food items was planned by a nutritionist, so the meals were very well balanced and extremely delicious and flavorful! We had our lunch, high tea and breakfast all within their cafe! Loherb ta...

The hot spring facilities are great. Our 5.5-yr-old and 7.5-yr-old had a great time with the outdoor hot spring! The en-suite tub (also hot spring) is also nice. I also like that the amenities included facial masks for males and females. My husband was suffering from dry skin due to it was winter in Taiwan. He sure enjoyed the mask. The breakfast could definitely be i...

The hotel was clean, the spa is really cool but only opens at three in the afternoon which means you can’t use it next day in the morning. and I was watching the spa from the top in the morning and no ones cleaning it the water is still there. If you don’t have a SIM card don’t come because the WiFi really sucks here equal to no WiFi at all

We were late for check in due to the last min booking, but the receipt was kind and instructed us how to get in and called us to make sure we got in successfully. Really nice place and quiet. It's a big far from down town Jiaoxi but love the country side vibe.

if you are just talking about the stay, yes it is a great place to stay. but the only problem is the wifi is very weak in the room. most of the time i need to get out of the room to be connected to the wifi . location is a walking distance to the beach if those people visit there for surfing. But with personal transport is just a short ride. overall is a good place t...

This is the perfect house if you would like to have a laid back vacation. Kids will love it. Location is secluded but thats when you can ride the bicycle along the rows of padi field with your child strap to the back seat. For those who enjoy panoramic mountains view & fresh air, this is the location. However, it's not accessible to any eateries. As the locals eat early 5-6pm, it's not fun if you missed this dinning hours or failed to pre-arrange the meals. Many eateries down the mountains & even the minsu wl not entertain you. The room is clean & staff wl daily clean the room.

It was fantastic especially we had the whole house by ourselves for the first night as there are no other people. We woke up to a nice breakfast specially prepared by the boss who is friendly and warm. She also recommended a few places to go and help us arrange for taxi to pick us up. Nice place to stay!

After many visits to Yilan, we finally found our perfect getaway in Yu Peng Villa. The stay was comfortable, service was professional and helpful, the villa itself is amazing. Modern style architectures surrounded by beautiful mountain hills, with no neighbours in sight. photos won't do any justice. We had a wonderful and relaxed weekend, will come again, thanks!

We have been staying 3 nights at the Yamagata Kaku Hotel & Spa. Steven and the hotel staff have made our stay magnificent. It is brand new hotel with all commodities, fitness center, spa and restaurants. Guess rooms are spacious and each bathroom has large hot springs bath. Seldom we have been welcomed as we have been in this hotel. Mark has kindly organised a whole d...

Real reviews for hotels
You can do variety of activity in this city, water sport/bush walking/ jogging.. suites those don't want to waste time in hotel room.
Suitable for a short stay at Yilan. Jimmy artwork is at the train station and along the streets. It is good to cycle around the small town.
Yilan is a wonderful place for relaxation. There are varieties of things to do such as sight seeing, visiting cultural places and going to night markets.
You have to stay in Luodong instead of Yilan because of the Luodong night market. Yilan has a smaller night market and it isn't that impressive.
nothing to share much because went only one night. We only visited the cold spring which is our main aim.
A sleepy town generally - mostly agricultural, so there are plots and plots of land used for rice/ grain growing.
Yilan though bigger than Luodong looks rather quiet. It is more of an administrative centre and lacks commerce.
I went to have a seafood lunch at a fishing port. The seafood is fresh and a lot of choice. The price is cheaper than Hong Kong and a bit higher as compare to Singapore.
Cruise around the "Gui-shan" island and chasing dolphins is quite worth it. Had wanted to visit the forests for nature walks but unsuccessful.
Fantastic place for vegetarians, lots of vegetarian stalls around. Just be aware though, that the Luodong night market is mostly over-hyped.
Yilan is a nice place. Full of scenic spots and good food. Good for sports, sightseeing and experiencing culture of Taiwan ethnic minorities.
better book a car or taxi for sight-seeing a nice and peaceful place must visit to the Lan-yeung Museum
The people in Yilan (generally in Taiwan) are super nice. Very helpful. You get to go up the mountains, see the water falls, do some hiking in Yilan.
Yilan is a development city close to country side. You can enjoy your trip with the nature and hot spring spa there.
a get-away from Taipei city. slow down your life and take a rest in the great nature, culture, people and food.
Hot spring and night markets are must-go. The food and people in Ilan are the other attractions that people are fond of.
Remember to visit the Ro Dong night market to enjoy the special dishes 'pu lou' and 'chong you bing'.
good places which if you like hot spring, nature and some cycling tour or hiking tour, good place to stay and for photographing also.
Yilan is a peaceful place, with lesser traffic, lots of people come to this area for relaxation. There are lots of activities you may do at Yilan and really great fun.
Places of interests pretty much scattered. Good to book a cab to bring you guys to the numerous attractions (more on parks, museums and the like).
I found this Candy House is so good service from the bos, this is family business, and the bos provide his service with the transport for us to the railway station, i will strongly recommand to friend for this homestay hotel , and if i travel to Taiwan i will book this Candy House again.
We went to the DongMeng night market in Yilan. Personally, I like market more than the one in LongDong.
If you are a nature lover, you would love Yilan. Boat trip around Turtle Island and dolphin-watching is a must.
Train service is limited; only 30mins per train typically. Be sure you have download the train schedule for the day if you are going to other Attractions within Yilan Metro City that is 1 to 2 station away from Yilan Train Station.
Inconvenient to travel to unless the hotel transfers are arranged. Not much to see other than enjoy the hotsprings in your hotel.
if u want a cheeap and taste good food, come here. But no shopping mall for hk people .You can relax eat ,spa, outdoor activity etc.
This hotel is very far away from the bus station and subway. The room is small and not very clean, many people smoking in the hotel.
Good experience in countryside lifestyle & food. Enjoy spas in most of hotels. Even there is public park for legs spa.
Yilan is a very relaxed town with very fresh air and great place to relax and simply unwind to rejuvenate.
Many small towns that you can chose to stay for 1-2 nights. Found a great vegetarian restaurant in Jiaoxi.
