Great location and clean comfortable rooms”

Although there was a stuff up with our booking and they did not have a room for us on our first night, the manager quickly organized alternate accommodation in a nearby resort. When we got into our accommodation the next day we found the room to be spacious and clean. The location of the resort is by far the best feature. The beach across the road is great for swimming and the strip of restaurants are fantastic at night. We would come back to klong nin beach next time we are in koh lanta.

Much better than expected”

Clean Beach Resort is excellent value for money. The villas are a high standard, if a little rough around the edges. Our room smelled of smoke when we first arrived but there were no spare villas to move to. Apart from that, we loved it and would definitely stay again. The gardens and grounds are kept immaculate and there is a lovely pool which we pretty much had to ourselves. The location on Klong Nin Beach is great - just a road away from the sea, and its position in the middle of Koh Lanta is good for exploring the more deserted beaches further south. It's also not too long a journey to get there from the port in Saladan in the north where the ferry drops you off.

Decent option in good location ”

The rooms are spacious but a bit shabby, though the staff keeps everything very clean. The pool is nice especially since you're not on the beach -- the only way to get to the beach is across the road and through the restaurant and you can't see it from the actual hotel. It's in a nice area of Ko Lanta, though nearby beach bars can make your hotel room sound like a disco. Amenities like a front porch, kettle and fridge are very nice as well.

Nice, quiet hotel on a fantastic beach”

Clean Beach is a nice mid-range place on Klong Nin beach, with pool, beachside restaurant and nice quiet rooms in a garden setting. Although the rooms are across the street from the beach, the beach is literally across the street - walk 3m across the road, through the open-air restaurant and there you are. The breakfast could be improved, if you are a coffee lover prepare yourself mentally. The staff were friendly and helpful, pointing out options for things to do without being pushy in any direction. I'd definitely return to Clean Beach and Klong Nin.

Fantastic bungalows and great locations”

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights a week ago and would recommend Clean Beach Resort. The resort was very well maintained, in a great location and the staff were very friendly. We hired a car from reception with no dramas. Breakfast was basic however nice. The only thing I could say was at times the service was a little slow, however always very nice and helpful which is the main thing. We would stay here again.

Lovely hotel, great location, nice surroundings.”

this is one of the more practical places we have stayed during our many visits to ko lanta. the location is just perfect with a beautiful beach boasting many other beach-front bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. the garden and surroundings are rustic but well maintained, and the rooms are adequately appointed reflecting the very reasonable room rates. the restaurant service does leave a little bit to be desired with a 'pad thai' lunch resembling a kiddies portion. pleasant bar, although the same music is played over and over again which becomes extremely irritating - the only answer being more beer ! overall though, a great place to stay.

In the heart of Klong Nin ”

We only stayed for one night and founder rooms very clean and comfortable. There is a small stream running through the resort so a more mosquitos than other resorts. However it right opposite all the nice chilled out bars and restaurants such as j Dee and beachside.. It's also has a pool! (We didn't use as go to the beach) enjoy!

Repeat Guest, Consistently Excellent Stay”

Not my first review here, I have been here three times these past several years, the beach location, quality of the Bungalows and a well maintained Pool keep me coming back. The bad reviews I have read, have very little merit except for spotty wifi but hey, you are on vacation to a remote island in Thailand si chill. For those with realistic expectations, you will be thrilled.

Clean beach... so clean”

This is one of the very first hotels on a long Klong Nin beach. The inner hotel's area is clean and nice with a small garden. But, surrounded by roads from 3 sides, this place is not as quiet as we could expect - although the room is quiet enough. The hotel is located not directly on the beach, as you could decide from its name - the bungalows are separated from the beach restaurant by noisy road. The beach was definitely not clean when we've arrived - the storm threw out lots of garbage from the sea, including broken glass. The staff did not rush to clean the beach, so I did clean it myself and collected tens of broken glass pieces along with a plastic garbage. For the reference, Koh Lanta is probably the most dirty island from all Thai islands I saw, cause only hotel's areas are cleaned and nothing else. The beach chairs were also definitely not new and a bit dirty. The beach on the photo is not hotel's beach, it's somewhere else. I believe the room itself is not that bad - it has a comfortable large bed and relatively new air conditioner. But the bed veils had holes, and bath towels were looking like used since the hotel opening. The bathroom was nothing special, the water heater was not working properly. There was no satellite TV in the room despite advert., and most TV channels are local and thus useless. It was obvious that the management was trying to cut the costs as much as they can. I have also noticed that there were no trash bins on the territory - obviously to save on garbage transportation. The the real market price for the breakfast was about 50 THB, actually there was almost nothing to eat. Although a dinner quality was good enough (we had it just once). The management was definitely not friendly, ignorant, greedy and trying to cheat on everything. Will never stay again in this hotel. Other end of the beach is more quiet, green and more private, I recommend Amantra hotel there, which is MUCH better.

Nice beach hotel”

We enjoyed our stay at the Clean Beach. Rooms were really nice with comfortable beds, balcony and helpful staff. Breakfast was ok'ish but a bit hit/miss because we did not always get what we ordered some some food wasted. But all in all, a good hotel and we recommend it.

Don’t take breakfast included!”

The room we had was really good and clean. The bed like most of Thailand hotels was super hard but thats ok i guess. The pool was incredible. I guess 2 downsides to this hotel would be that you gotta cross the road to get to the beach and do NOT take the breakfast. Lets just say its not worth the extra. Better off walking to the french bistro close by for food.

Lovely experience”

My stay was excellent. My room was clean, spacious, I had all the luxury I needed incl bathrobe, slippers, bathroom supplies, fresh drinking water and a clean room every day. The restaurant is right on the most calm and lovely beach. I am for sure returning. Thank you!

Good but some issues”

It is in a good place near the beach and the bungalows are in a beautiful garden and nicely designed. Rooms are spacious and the breakfast personnel is very friendly. The area is a little bit far from the main area which is good for avoiding large crowds. We had some smaller issues with this hotel. The sound isolation is not great and we were disturbed by the construction work that was taking place early in the morning. Koh Lanta is undergoing a lot of infrastructure work so keep this in mind. Also we couldn't manage to get a pleasant temperature in the room, either it was freezing or sticky. The lighting in the bathroom is poor, there is no light near the mirror, if you'd want to look nice for a night out. The reception closes at 10 pm, which means if you want to go out you have to carry around the big key with you. And there is, like many other places in this area, a some ants in the room. We were also visited by a lizard. I assume this is normal for the area.

Very Nice - Would Recommend”

Nice little venue, lovely garden and clean rooms. Pool is fine and plenty of sun loungers. Breakfast was terrible, don't bother paying for it, there are plenty of lovely places to eat elsewhere. Location is fantastic, you simply cross the road to their restaurant and you're on the beach. They have nice sturdy motorbikes to rent.

Lovely hotel ”

This hotel is really conveniently located on the island and its lovely and clean. The pool is great and its a hop across the road to the beach and to a fab range of bars and places to eat including Ottos (best food), rasta bar (live bands), down the road from Shanti Shanti which is french thai fusion and Mongs bar (full moon parties and more). The beds are comfortable and they cleaned the rooms spotlessly every day. The staff are lovely, specifically At, who bent over backwards to help us and was always smiling and welcoming. The only two issues is that the breakfasts are almost inedible - its over cooked and left in ban maries to solidify for a few hours. The other issue is that we found out the people next door paid 500baht less than us for the same room - also negotiated with the same people. The management said they gave us the best price but clearly they were not being totally honest. We were stuck in the hotel while a typhoon raged ahead which delayed our trip considerably and we ended booking all our 7 days at the restort. I would recommend staying here. However if you want a beachfront there are some lively hotels next door that will give you that for the same price.

The only thing it has going for it is the location”

I frankly found our stay at Clean Beach very disappointing. This experience began right from our airport pickup. My flight landed right on schedule, but the driver the hotel sent was nowhere to be seen for at least 15 minutes, which is 15 minutes too long when you are a traveler and unsure about transport logistics. This was also the airport transfer which we had to email Clean Beach three times to get a response for. This disappointing experience continued through to the rooms, the service and the food: The rooms: We stayed in a garden view deluxe room, which was quite basic. The shower facilities were okay, but nothing fantastic. The bed was okay, but came with only two, lumpy pillows. Very average. The service: The service was utterly lacking. Requests for a change in beach towels were flatly declined, and we had to ask three different people for wine glasses before getting some. The staff at Clean Beach have no concept of service whatsoever, and every request or question is met with very basic, monosyllabic responses. The food: Breakfast came provided with my room rate, but I ended up only having breakfast at the hotel on two of the four nights I stayed there, preferring instead to drive 15 minutes away. The breakfast is basic and completely lacking in imagination. Again there was no service to speak of at breakfast. The only upside to this whole experience is the lovely beach Clean Beach is located on. Klong Nin beach is beautiful, especially during sunset, and the bars, cafes and restaurants dotted along the beachfront and along the side of the road are really nice to relax in. All in all, I had a very disappointing stay at Clean Beach and definitely did not find the price justifiable.

Good location but water troubles”

It has is conveniently close to the beach with a restaurant, where hotel guests get a coupon if they book with breakfast included. The rice fish soup was amazing for breakfast! The staff are really nice at therestaurant and do evertything to accommodate for you. Dissapointingly there was a water issue during my stay (no fault of the hotel) but it meant that the sink, toilet and shower were an ominous brown colour throughout my stay. You also need to put a sign up before 1pm to request your room be cleaned, otherwise the maids will skip your bungalow.

Lovely villas ”

All the staff are incredibly friendly, especially the Restaurant staff. Can hire moped easily from reception at a good price. Location is excellent on a beautiful beach. Perfect place to be set to explore the whole island.
