Right on the beach, amazing view and great food! ”

Coco Lanta Resort is one of those small yet cozy and comfortable places that one stumbles on once in a while. It is located on the Khlong Dao beach which in itself primarily has other resorts and a good coastline visible from the beach. Coco Lanta is right on the beach although they have no rooms which open on the beach but the beach is less than 1 minute walk from any of the rooms. The rooms are slightly different from what we expected - tiny ones with a bed and no cupboards. However, they are independent rooms each like a tiny house with a porch in front with chairs and table to sit and relax. The bathrooms are clean and spacious (no bathtubs). The pool is facing the beach and the resort offers a good view of the sunset everyday even from the pool. The restaurant in the resort has really good food - especially the fruit juices are amazingly refreshing and fresh. Do try the Stir Fried Chicken in Spicy Sauce, Stir Fried Chicken in Black pepper sauce and Phat Thai Noodles for a great meal! The restaurant has amazing view and low seating arrangement option as well to simply relax in the sea winds with a book in hand. There are conveniently located hammocks and beach chairs as well. The staff is quite friendly and warm and always willing to make you feel comfortable. Massages in the hotel are also a must try if you stay there. They are really value for money and the massage beds are located perfectly facing the beach so that the soothing wave sounds accompany a good massage. All in all - except for the room being smaller than our expectation, we had an amazing stay at Coco Lanta and we would to visit again!!

Amazing Staff and Good Location”

We stayed at CoCo Lanta during the 50year monsoon, which was unexpected. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful during this crazy storm. The power went out and they were on the only resort on Klong Khong beach that had a generator, which allowed for the kitchen to stay open. They are constantly cleaning up the resort and beach every day, even during the monsoon. Because of the weather, we asked if we could stay one extra day and book a 4Island tour. The staff at the front was extremely accommodating and even helped us change our ferry tickets to Phuket and ensure a taxi would come to pick us up, free of charge. I am very happy with our stay there. The bungalows are very basic, but that's what we wanted. This is not a 4 star hotel, but if you want a relaxing place with not a ton of frills with extremely friendly staff, stay at Coco Lanta. Also their breakfast is delicious and there are really friendly beach cats.

Small but perfectly formed”

Having stayed on Lanta before we wanted to try a new location rather than staying on Long Beach. What an excellent choice Klong Khong was. A lovely stretch of beach with a really laid back vibe. The beach itself was just gorgeous but not that great for swimming as there are lots of rocks. It is doable but you need to take care and in fact Coco Lanta is at the right end of the beach for finding a clear path to the sea. There are the usual reggae bars dotting the sand and plenty of food choices to keep you going. Highly recommend Bee Bee's for proper thai cooking - everything we ate there was simply delicious and also Kwan's which is directly over the road from Coco Lanta. Back to the bungalows themselves. Everything is new and spotlessly clean. They are very small but you are not there to hang out in the bungalow and we didn't feel this was a problem at all. There was a safe for valuables and a very modern bathroom. Bungalows were cleaned daily. My only criticism was the breakfast. This was really disappointing. The options ranged from cold waffles to their take on an english breakfast. We have always enjoyed great breakfasts in Asia and this was possibly the worst. My advice would be to take in some of the great coffee and juices and save your appetite for Bee Bee's down the beach ;-) This really is the only negative. Aside from this I would highly recommend and would stay there again should we return to Lanta.

Amazing, clean, relaxing, well appointed hotel”

We had such a great stay at Coco Lanta - we'd booked to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 5! Upon arrival we were greeted with refreshments from the friendly staff, who continued to be wonderfully helpful throughout our stay. The pool was great, and overlooks the beach which was great for unwinding after a long day. We liked the location in Klong Khong beach as it was a little quieter, but still easy to access all the things we wanted to see on the island. The hotel had scooters for hire which made getting around even easier. The rooms were clean, modern and lovely. Great free wifi. We travelled all over Thailand on our trip and this was by far and away our favourite hotel on the journey!

I don't know how to even start this but my stay at Coco Lanta Resort was far beyond my expectation. The location is perfect so you can simply spend your 24 hours by the seaside if you don't plan any boat trip or hiking around the island. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. And the room is comfortable and everything you probably need can be easily accessed. My only suggestion is (of course that's only something to make the resort an even better place,) to provide some mosquito coil, maybe coz the mosquitoes were killing me :(. Despite that, I won't hesitate to give five-star ratings to Coco coz I enjoyed my time here so much. I'll definitely come back if I visit Koh Lanta in the future.

Staying at Coco Lanta was so relaxing. I love this place! ”

I would've stayed longer if I hadn't had to meet friends up north. The staff are lovely and super helpful. The pool is lovely, and the room was clean and nice. They give you bottled water every day for free. You can borrow a beat up old push bike for free or you can hire a scooter for 200baht per day. To be honest once I hired a scooter I never looked back, by far the best way to get around the island. The restaurant attached to the resort is ok but a tad over priced (for Thailand and I'm on a backpackers budget) you can find cheaper food up and down the main road very easily. The beach on which Coco lanta is situated is very beautiful but quite stony and rocky so if you want to swim in the water I suggest you just ride on up to long beach (5 mins on scooter). Coco lanta is in a great location, not too north, not too south. So you can visit either end easily (30 minute beautiful ride on scooter to the old town). Had a massage at the on site Thai Massage place-amazing.

Just perfect!”

We enjoyed a blissful four four nights at Coco Lanta. Everything was perfect. Situated right on the stunning Khlong Khong beach which is so picturesque with all the rocks, great for swimming the crystal clear water at high tide, and shows off a magical sunset every night. It's a lovely stroll in both directions of the beach to plenty of bars and restaurants (plus more on the road). But for us, the best food was here at Coco Lanta. The staff were always friendly and helpful and remember your room number straight away for the tab. The included breakfast is great, so much choice of hot and cold foods. The pool is amazing, even better than it looks on the pictures. The grounds are well maintained. Our garden bungalow was spotless, comfy (especially the bed), bright and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this place.

Really great place at the Beach”

I stayed 3 nights with my wife and 6 year old boy at Coco Lanta Resort… We had a great time… Our Family room was nice and spacious but close to the reception with a view on the hotel parking lot. This was not a real problem as we spent most of our time at the pool beach area of the hotel. The other bungalows are really nice but pretty small but perfect for a couple. Everything is nice and clean, really well working AC. The wifi signal is good everywhere. The hotel is surrounded by nice vegetation. But with view shadow as the resort is pretty new. The pool area is really nice close to the bar where you can get great fruit shakes, beer and other alcoholic cocktails. The breakfast is great with a great choice. with a nice view on the ocean. Lunch and Dinner we took at the hotel. Real Thai food ;-) The evening between sunset and the morning around 10 am we had low tide and rocks are appearing at the beach. The rest of the day its a great beach where you can enjoy the clean and warm water of the ocean. I would definitely come back to this hotel…I really liked the calme and relaxing atmosphere.

Amazing in every way !”

Stayed two nights on Koh Lanta and really wish we had more time at this amazing resort. We originally booked the guesthouse but found upon arrival that it was full so we were upgraded to a bungalow free of charge. The resort is right on the beach, on the side of the island where the sunsets and the sunsets are absolutely stunning...! It also has a very nice pool. Free breakfast that is substantial and delicious. The bungalow was cozy and perfect for what we needed - they also provide you with a towel to shower + and extra for the beach/pool. And the staff are so kind and helpful. 100% recommend a stay at Coco Lanta!

Great find on beautiful Koh Lanta”

We enjoyed a fantastic 5 nights stay at Coco Lanta Resort. It is a new resort which is well appointed and planned with a beautiful pool and great access to the beach. The rooms are spacious enough for two people, I thought they were well designed and because they are so new the bathrooms and furnishings look great. The bed was comfortable too. The resort is still working on the garden part of the resort but it certainly did not bother us during our stay, in fact we enjoyed watching the gardeners planting new exotic plants during our stay. Swimming pool is beautiful, the bar has great food and the massages nearby are superb. The only negative if any was the breakfast. For such a lovely resort with great surroundings, the breakfast was really poor. Fruit juice was not fresh, coffee was granulated, eggs bacon and choice was nothing to get excited about and I feel that they could do better. Other than the breakfast, everything was great.

Wonderful stay and nice beach resort”

We came Coco after 4 night stays at Railay with not so good experience there. It's with surprisingly clean and nice room. Its cozy but big enough for anything you may need plus safe box in the room. the Bed was great, could fell the clean and sunny with the white clean blanket. the reception lady (Adee) was great and very friendly. We would have given a 5 for room if not because of some small issues like shower hose leaking and toilet flush. these were quickly rectified after informing the staff, no impact to our stay. The resort is still in some construction for 2 story building of family rooms, it did make ourdoor not as neat and clean as it would be, though had no much impact to the stay. It should be completing soon. hope to stay there in next visit to Lanta. The resort is built on the beach, though the area of beach (Klong Khong beach) is very rocky and not quite suitable for swimming, but it's great during low tide. There was also great Sunset view you can enjoy right at the beach restaurant or in the pool. local food stalls/restaurant are just a walking out 2-3 minutes. Kwan's cookery is a must to visit if you stay here. Overall a great beach resort to stay at Lanta and will come back again.

Great Place to enjoy Koh Lanta”

We had a very enjoyable stay at Coco Lanta Resort. The hotel and rooms are super clean and in great condition. Plus you have a nice area in front of your room with a hammock and chairs to relax in. The staff was friendly and spoke very good English. You can rent a scooter from the office to explore the rest of the island which generally has flat and straight roads that are easy to navigate. A lot of the other hotels and restaurants in this area are closed right now and there were only a few open on this beach so do be prepared for that in terms of dining options.The only negative of our stay was the condition of the beach. There was debris and trash everywhere, from one end to the other. I'm not sure if the beach is just not cleaned during the low season while many of the operators are shut down but we were quite turned off by it. Some other guests organized a trash pick up our first night and we were more than happy to help. It looked much better after that (at least in front of the resort) The pool however was wonderful.

Lovely place”

Been to Coco Lanta Resort the second time with family and friends in Nov 2017. My absolutely favorite place in Thailand! New and very clean bungalows in an awesome surrounding. Love the terrace of the bungalow and the small distance to the beach. Breakfast/restaurant is close to the beach and quite good. Yes, there are rocks in the water, but everybody can inform themselves before about the tidal-times. Beside that Coca Lanta is awesome because they didn't block the whole beachfront area with a restaurant, instead of you'll find beach chairs and space, which allows shadow. If you ever experience a sunset in the pool, you wanna come back for a second or third time. Believe me. But the most crucial point is the staff. All of them are trying their best to feel you welcome, love that. Will definitely come back for my third time.

Great Up and Coming Resort”

We enjoyed our stay at the Coco Lanta Resort and even extended for an extra night. It is the newbie on the strip on Koh Lanta and certain fits the vibe of Klong Khong Beach. It was the cleanest place we stayed while traveling on the island and the staff were always there to help when needed. The breakfast was good but unfortunately not above average. Other meal were good and reasonably priced but a short walk down the beach or a trip off the resort can provide you small savings. Room: The AC unfortunately broke due to a storm that came through but the staff worked hard and I believe it was repaired within an hour! Absolutely no disruption to us. Our bed was rather hard but nothing an extra bed spread to sleep on couldn't fix. Would definitely return to this resort in future visits.

Lovely place to stay”

We had a great time at Coco Lanta, it was our first stop in Thailand and a great place to get over jetlag. While the bungalow was relatively small it has everything we needed - a mini fridge, AC, a TV (didn’t use), a safe that was bolted to the wall, a good amount of shelf space and a side table for our belongings. Bathroom was nicely decorated and hot water worked fine. We stayed at the resort for most meals. Our stay included breakfast which was plentiful but nothing super special: eggs made to order, some meat products like beacon, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, pancakes. Highlight was when they had sweet sticky rice in banana leaf. Restaurant food was fairly priced (more expensive than on the street, but not super expensive) and good. The pool was a highlight as the beach is quite rocky during low tide and allowed for a quick cool off when needed. Overall one of the better places we stayed, and fairly priced.

Favourite place on earth”

This was our second time staying at Coco Lanta resort as we visited 3 years ago. This resort is pure heaven. It is so beautiful and relaxing with a great atmosphere. The restaurant is wonderful with a great menu and drinks selection, and the staff are super friendly too. So sad to leave. The beach is a bit rocky at low tide (at night during our stay).. but otherwise we swam in it everyday. The pool had lots of sunbeds with plenty of umbrellas if needed. The rooms were small but clean, modern and ideal. I would highly recommend this resort.

Best hotel in Lanta”

we were here for five nights and wish we had stayed longer. lanta is a great island with the perfect mix of quiet and noisy beaches. coco lanta is a new resort with lovely bungalows, all very clean with comfy beds, good bathrooms and working air con. i particularly enjoyed our hammock just outside the room. the food at the resort was great value for money and the best we found on lanta. we will definitely return.

Couldn't have asked for more!”

I cannot say enough good things about Coco Lanta. It was the ideal place to spend the final days of our holiday. The staff, the premises, and the location were exceptional! I traveled with a group and each of us appreciated being directly on the beach (on the strip with restaurants, bars and events), beach massages, and not terribly far from a 7/11. I was particularly fond of the customer service and the pool. My travel mates appreciated the breakfast and pool table. We were nervous that this location would be secluded but we felt like it was the perfect mixture of beach tranquility and social offerings. Trust me, Coco Lanta is worth the trip.

I could stay here indefinitely!”

Best resort I've ever stayed in! We originally booked 2 nights but booked 2 more as soon as we got there. We would have booked more if our vacation schedule allowed it. We went during low season when very little in the area was open. Coco Lanta was fully staffed and functional at all times. Clean comfortable bungalows, great pool with a view overlooking the ocean, excellent massages in the open air parlor right on the beach. The restaurant was fantastic and we chose to eat several meals there even after befriending the locals at the restaurant across the street. The resort also offered bicycles free of charge to better explore the island as well as taxi and tour services. By far the best resort we stayed at in Thailand. I would make another 25hr flight just to stay here again!

Coco Lanta was one of the best resort that I stayed in Thailand. From Krabi airport from Koh Lanta will take two hours by van. Resort is very close to the beach with nice environment,rooms are very clean. It's better to stay there for a long holiday with family.
