Amazing pool villa, superb service, serene beach”

From the moment we were picked up at the airport by the hotel's minivan service, to the time we were dropped off, service was seamless.The resort facilities and each and each & every staff member met and surpassed all of our expectations. The resort grounds and our pool villa were immaculate. Every morning, without fail, a housekeeper knocked on our door to ask if our room needed service. Our villa had the comfiest beds with cloud-like pillows and duvets inside, and a huge chaise and 2 lounge chairs on the patio. There were many electrical outlets inside and outside of our room and the electricity never cut out even once, not even during storms. Linens were pristine, and there were toiletries aplenty. Every last detail was thought of; even white bathrobes and room slippers were provided. Both my friend and I were very impressed with the resort's attention to detail. The breakfast buffet had both western and Thai offerings, and service was stellar through and through. The concierge even gave us 10% discount meal & beverage coupons. The resort staff were always happy to help and acknowledged every request efficiently and courteously. Happy hour was from 4pm to 6pm and 100 baht cocktails were on special. At lunchtime, there was a krapow personal pan pizza & your choice of soda for 140 baht. Everything I had from the resort's restaurant was delicious! The resort's wifi signal was far superior to my internet on the mainland, not that anyone would actually need wifi on such a beautiful, serene stretch of beach. While the beach wasn't white sand, it was very peaceful, unlike the busier Chaweng area, and Mae Nam Beach is stunning in its own right, offering a breathtaking sunrise view as well as a spectacular view of Koh Phangan. Another thing I noticed was the diversity of hotel guests. There were solo travelers, couples, families, and groups of friends staying at the resort. I had some unexpected work to do and thankfully there were computers in the lobby.

A Nice Oasis Really Close to the Beach AND Ferry Port”

We really enjoyed our short, but convenient stay at Cocopalm. We needed an extra day on Samui and the location of Cocopalm was perfect. Our bungalow was clean and cozy. A couple minute walk down a beautiful path took us to the pool, beach, and restaurant. The next morning we were on the mid day ferry to Koh Phangan and Cocopalm was again perfect: we had a simple breakfast, packed up, and walked our bags through a gate that literally took us to the ferry port. It made our short trip to Samui even sweeter because it was so easy. Highly recommend, especially if you want the conveniences of beach and ferry access.

Super little Resort”

From the time of arrival we were greeted by very professional receptionists and informed we had been given an upgrade which turned out to be a wonderful room in a great location near the pool. Breakfast was plentiful and a lovely setting. Nice pool with plenty of sun beds for everyone and the pool area is kept very clean. A well looked after garden with lots of plants and trees added to the general ambiance . The beach area also well tended. There are plenty of eating places within walking distance and a Seven 11 store.This is a perfect resort to stay in for access to Mae Nam pier and ferry service to Koh Phangan. Overall a very relaxing stay and excellent value for money. Would not hesitate to return.

4 night in koh phangan”

Siamo stati molto bene in questo resort. È localizzato in una zona tipica thailandese e non affollata e turistica. Ottima posizione che permette di arrivare in 20/30 min a qualsiasi punto d'interesse dell'isola. Molta comoda anche la scorciatoia per arrivare alla silver beach. Siamo rimasti stupiti della pulizia del bungalow, incredibile! E comunque di tutto il resort. Un super like va anche al letto, molto molto comodo. We appreciate our stay in this resort. It's located in a real thailand side.. not crowded by tourist. The position is perfect to move around koh samui. And to return in the night in a piece of paradise. There is also a good shortcut to reach beaches like silver beach e lamui. In 20/30 of scooter is possible to move in the most famous point of the island. Another point is the cleaning of the boungalow, amazing!!! And super like for the bed, very very comfortable.

Nice place, good rooms, good food, friendly staff”

this resort has pretty much everything you'd want - clean, air conditioned rooms, pool with bar and restaurant, on the beach, friendly helpful staff, free wifi (weak signal everywhere though) etc.. it's not a big party sort of place - there are other locations on the island for that and if you want that, it's a very cheap taxi ride away and then you can come back to the peace and quiet of the cocopalm resort. normally i can complain quite well about a resort :) but this one was absolutely fine, the weak wifi signal and the fact that it takes about 10 mins to get wet in the electric shower would be all i could complain about but this seems pretty standard from my experiences around the islands. in fact, wifi and a hot shower aren't standard everywhere (yet)!

Good Value”

We had a nice stay at the Cocopalm. We were with our 14 year old daughter so had an extra bed in the bungalow which was basic but fine. The beach is fantastic for swimming and quiet compared to Chewang, etc. There are sun beds and beach towels provided which is not the case with some of the other hotels in the same price range. We did not use the pool but it looked fine. The only negative is that the Lomprayah Ferry dock is next door and at night there are probably 8 of their speed boats anchored by it. This is a selling feature if you are planning on taking a ferry to Koh Phangan or Koh Tao. Despite the ferry dock I would go back to the Cocopalm. We also stayed at the Maenam Resort and much prefer the Cocopalm.

Lovely resort out of central areas ”

Amazing value for money. Went with my boyfriend and his mum and shared a lovely room. Good buffet breakfast and restaurant served good food at reasonable price. Right on the beach beside Mae Nam wharf, nice pool area. Very helpful and friendly staff. Only downside was the cleaner and buggy driver hurried us to check out of the room at 11:30am when check out is as noon. Really enjoyed the stay!

Lovely hotel and very warm welcoming”

we enjoyed our stay at cocopalm beach resort. the restaurant's menu offers great choices and excellent seafood choices. our superior bungalow was conveniently located and from a short walking distance to the pool, restaurant and beach.

Friendly service, great location”

Upon entering the Cocopalm resort, we were warmly welcomed. Breakfast was always delicious with a decent range of fresh and hot food to choose from, and always accompanied by the ever-friendly service, such as Tony, our friendly 'coffee guy'. The room is cozy, with the bathroom divided nicely, however the shower is a bit broken. It has low water pressure and is usually cold. It's in a great location, because it's close to a dock so you have easy boat access, for activities such as traveling to other islands and snorkeling. Recommended, but probably go with the room type above (deluxe, I think), as we upgraded.

A relaxed hotel with nice gardens, pool and bar”

Coc0 palms was good for a three night stay for our family during recent trip to k oh samui. It is in a good area with easy access to mae nam and bho phut for markets, food and shopping. Also some good local restaurants such as johns garden nearby. The bar staff were very friendly andprices reasonable for drinks and snacks at pool, bar or beach. Nice breakfast in lovely spot at beach side cafe. Pool was nice and good for our four year old son. We also had a a massage at the spa which was beautiful, very professional and relaxing. Our deluxe bungalow was large and quite beautiful with verandah overlooking garden and near the pool area. Three things to note: there is obviously a problem with water as little pressure and no water at all one morning and this seemed to be resort wide and not unusual. Staff were very vague about the problem and fixing it and lack of clear communication compounded the problem. The beach is not good to walk on, heavy going, not fine sand and the water is quite rough, and unpleasant to swim in, dangerous for young children. Thirdly, there are lots and lots of dogs roaming the resort from nearby rescue centre in various degrees of cleanliness, and illness etc. we found it off putting to have the dogs so prevalent at meal times and at the pool and beach, particularly with a four year old as dogs are dogs and with high numbers the could easily be an issue! Staff did not discourage the dogs, or cats, that were so plentiful and other guests encouraged with food and cuddles, I was amazed as many of the animals did not look well! This put me off a lot!

Lovely hotel, fantastic staff”

This is a lovely resort, located right on the beach. We had a deluxe room which was large, clean and airy, beds are comfortable, bathroom is big, good shower, lots of hot water, TV and wifi work well and a nice size furnished balcony. The pool is lovely, right by the beach and the bar and restaurant are reasonably priced. Great food (best Massaman Curry I've had in 4 weeks of travelling), breakfast is good. The staff at this resort are exceptional, even by Thai standards. Reception staff are really helpful, Bar and Restaurant staff really attentive, even the gardeners and cleaners say hello with a big smile every time they pass your room. The only downside of this hotel is that the sea on this part of the beach is full of little lumps of what appears to be grease and diesel together. This is because it is next to a Pier where lots of boats park and ferries arrive a couple of times a day. No noise disturbance from this but it means that swimming in the sea is not a nice experience.

Perfect for relaxing family holiday”

We are a family of 4 with 2 school age children and we stayed 4 nights in June 2015 in family bungalow. The resort is located near the Maenam pier on the west end of the Maenam beach, easily accessible by ferry. The bungalows are well kept and clean, staff were very friendly and proactive. The poolside is located near the beach so that you could easily swap in between during the day. The breakfast included to the bungalow price was very good, varying between offerings from both Thai and western breakfast classics. The resort restaurant also offered lots of variety from both kitchens, pricing understandingly bit higher than you would expect to find from somewhere in the Maenam village center. The resort is perfect for family holiday with children with all ages. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Excellent hotel on private beach, peaceful bliss.”

On checking in, and walking down the winding path dotted with flowers in the gardens, the stress of everyday life just melts away. The bungalow is spacious, and decorated traditionally with lot's of wood and natural neutral tones. It's a very peaceful resort with everything you need for a relaxing holiday, and other restaurants very close by if you want a change, also the markets are not far away. The pool is great too, and is right by the coconut and palm tree lined beach. The beach is quite private and good for swimming or just stretching out, heavenly. A good place to enjoy the real Samui, I liked it a lot!

nice pool and bungalows”

Nice pool which overlooks the beach, good bungalows in a lovely tropcal garden, excellent breakfast, sufficient sunchairs on the beach and at the pool. Many good restaurants close by (the best one is Pooms Place, 100m from the main road). It was our 4th stay at Cocopalm and we are looking forward to the next time.

Right on the beach”

cocopalm might not be the fanciest resort and the bungalows aren't super stylish but the resort is right on the beach, it has a nice pool and the restaurant has pretty good food. if you are after a place that's right on the beach, in-house restaurant, pool and it's not going to break the bank then this is it. another good thing is the lomprayah ferry terminal is right next door for transport to other islands, like koh tao, and also the mainland.

All anyone could ever want”

We stayed here as part of many destinations on our honeymoon and it was one of the best. Great food, service, beach, pool and upgraded our room each night (at no extra cost) and they got exponentially better over the standard room we started with, which was fine and good but we wanted something a bit better/closer to ocean. Free WiFi. It is very close to a number of small shops where you can rent a motorbike for the day to explore the island. One of the coolest perks of this hotel is it is a perfect place to stay if you plan on traveling to any of the other islands nearby like Koh Tao since it is right next to one of the high speed ferry stops. Yet the place is quiet and it still feels very remote.. My only gripe, a small one: Bartenders don't exactly make the drink you order, even when you choose it from their menu. i.e. you can order a Mai Tai and expect it to be a different drink every single time. Or a White Russian, you'd be amazed how many times I ordered this and all the different drinks I ended up with.. pretty hilarious.. just see for yourselves what I'm talking about.

Great rooms on a beautiful beach”

Right next to the Lomprayah ferry (to Koh Tao and Koh Phangan). Perfect for those who need to catch an early ferry. Also located on beautiful Mae Nam beach. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable

Good in general but not what we were looking for”

Very hard to give a rate because it really depends on what your looking for. The hotel is quite good but if you are a traveller you may not like it. But saying that we prefer koh phangnan above koh samui in general because there are less and a different kind of tourists +: very friendly staff especially for kids +: very good breakfast (lot of choice) +: there is a small part of the pool for childeren. -: probably crowed in highseason, beach beds much more packed than shown on the website. -: booked by many people who are spending their whole holiday in this hotel (no travellers) If you want a cab to the AirPort just go a few meters outside the resort and you are getting a beter price.

Peaceful location”

Location was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bungalow was comfortable and clean. Beautiful garden, nice pool and clean beach. Very good swimming in the sea. Very short walk to ferry to Koh Phangan and others islands. - Frukost in restaurant was overpriced. -The power station next to hotel was very noisy and having a strong or unpleasant smell and pollution from the diesel engine.

Lovely stay ”

Had a really nice stay here. The staff are really friendly and helped us out with booking a ferry over to Koh Tao. The room was clean and included a fridge and a safety box which was handy. I think the only issue is the breakfast is a little expensive (250 bhat) but there are a lot of corner shops near by that sell a variety of foods. I think the location of this hotel is perfect, right on the beach near the pier and away from the busy streets so it’s quiet. Saw a lot of families here too so it’s family friendly. Would recommend definitely!
