We have stayed at several different airport hotels in bangkok; but this one was the best for us by far. The main reasons being that it seemed about 1* above the others in terms of having a lift, being cleaner, and larger rooms. We enjoyed our (breif) stay at the Convenient Grand Hotel. It seemed a little while to get there, but was 15mins drive in the morning, so close enough. The twin room we got was large, with big comfortable beds. The pool was a welcome releif from travel for the kids, and the foot massage downstairs for me at less than $10 for an hour was also a great way to break up the travelling. The food downstairs was a little expensive. Luckily we picked up a ton of snacks and drinks at the airport to get through the night. We didn't try the restaurant there, but also there was a 24 hr convenience store on site. There's really nothing in this area, but we enjoyed having a view out over feilds of green with fresh air whilst in Bangkok. English Channels were very limited but after swimming were enough to keep the kids occupied for about 30mins before they slept. Other places we stayed for the same price had smaller rooms, no lift, similar tv, but this place also had a pool and massage on site; so we will return. Also I thought the service here was good, even on the Thai standard.

The Convenient Grand Hotel is conveniently located very close to the Suvarnabhumi Airport which makes it a good choice if you are traveling to or from other locations in Thailand and do not wish to spend time in Bangkok. The Airport Shuttle runs every hour. The breakfast offered a wide choice and, if you have to leave before breakfast, the hotel will make some sandwiches for you to eat on the way to the airport. I will stay again.

Wonderful hotel for a stopover! Not a lot in area.”

We just stayed here for a one night stopover before a long flight the next day, this place is value for money! Because there is not a lot in the area unless you order a taxi, it is really important for a hotel like this to have spacious rooms to lounge in, comfortable beds and excellent facilities.. And this is just what convenient grand hotel has to offer! The service is exceptional, we could never stay in a hotel like this at home for such an affordable price. The spa had reasonable prices for a hotel, we did not use the hotel restaurant only because there is a small reastaurant across the road and a supermarket. The only thing that was very tricky was knowing where to meet the shuttle for our transport to the hotel. I expected to receive an email from agoda or the hotel soon after booking informing us of where to meet the shuttle once we arrived at the airport, we did not receive any information and walked around the airport having to ask staff for help. This could be an area of opportunity for the Agoda website to post?

at the price for a twin bed room which includes breakfast and airport transfers, convenient grand hotel is an excellent accommodation in bangkok. located near the airport (roughly 15mins drive), friendly staff, wonderful in-house restaurant, even has a place for relaxation and massages. a great deal i would say.

Wonderful Welcome”

We had a great overnight stay, we arrived early morning at BKK airport. (sorry I cannot spell the name.) The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and a nice international breakfast was s waiting for us downstairs when we got up. This hotel is very convenient also, as it is near the airport and well worth the price. I would recommend it to any one traveling to or from Bangkok. I will certainly us Convenient Grand Hotel in the future.

Nice and new hotel with friendly staff”

The staff was very friendly. As soon as I arrived someone came and picked up my big bags. The staff that worked at the front desk spoke English fluently which made it easy to communicate. A very important feature that this hotel has is an elevator because some hotels by the airport do not have them. The room was nice and spacious with a nice size bathtub in the bathroom, which is unusual for Thailand. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was nice and the staff there also spoke English well and was very helpful when trying to order a vegetarian meal. The massage parlor was very nice and relaxing. The atmosphere was very nice and the Thai massage was also nice. The free airport transportation was very helpful especially if you have an early morning flight. Over all my stay at the Convenient Grand Hotel was enjoyable.

i have now stayed at the grand convenient hotel twice. this was my second stay on my way back home. my first stay, i was very impressed with the service, rooms, breakfast, and overall quality of the hotel environment. however, upon my arrival the second time, i got my card and went up to my room... the bed had been stripped and nothing had been cleaned up after the last guest(s) left. i went down to the lobby (front desk) and told them that nothing was cleaned for their next guest. i was nice about this but was not pleased as i was very tired and just wanted to go to bed as i had to be back up at 4am for the next shuttle arriving at the hotel at 5am. the desk clerk apologized and gave me a card to a different room. when i got up to my new room, i was immediately impressed and "wow'd"! the room was gorgeous as well as impecably clean!! in the morning, i went down to be ready for the shuttle to take me back to the airport (when arriving, the staff will check to see when you need to depart and will suggest a time to be ready for pick-up. this is very convenient and helpful so you don't miss your flights!) no worries about carrying your own luggage as the staff does all the work for you. they put your luggage on a cart and load it into the shuttle. same when you get dropped off at airport. you simply pick up your bag and go. overall, i was very satified with my stays at the grand convenient and will definitely return if i'm ever in thailand again!! recommended as a lovely hotel with nice staff.

Second time i have stayed here only one night stays for lay overs waiting for early morning flights dollars a bargain inc breakfast and transfer ,It is close to the airport thats why i like it you can see the airport from the hotel but no noise from it. there is only one mini van for transfers so its one an hour roughly as its about 15 mins drive to hotel , i been lucky both times and only waited ten mins , driver friendly and gave good advice re traveling around the hotel via taxi . small supermarket 100 meters from hotel sells everything you could need , can get a taxi on this main road ,just flag one down , tell him to use the meter and make sure you know roughly the distance to where you are going or you may find yourself on a long journey to somewhere else , I have always found Bangkok taxi drivers a bit wierd ,even with the address in thai and a map of hotel or whatever they can still get lost and end up asking lots of people the way . but on this visit i had a few hours to kill so headed for night market close to hotel "songapoon" or "wanapoon" ask at reception . got a taxi outside 60 baht there , take a card from hotel for taxi driver on return . 5 mins from hotel nice clean market , yes clean , i said clean in bangkok honestly !! , food in hotel was good and reasonabley priced . rooms are large and very comfortable . will stay there again if i can get good price through agoda.. dollars

Room was nice but the building looks old”

i booked this hotel after i searched all hotels near suvarnabhumi international airport. my flight was at 0615am the next morning, so i needed a hotel really close to the airport. i took arl from the center of the city then went to the airport. after that i took a taxi to this hotel and it wasn't that close (not as close as what i had imagined before) to the airport -- cost me 90 bahts for the taxi. but the hotel itself, at first i felt omg this is an old building and i wondered what kind of room that i was going to get. but then i saw the receptionist and this hotel wasn't bad at all. english speaking hotel staffs, nice room, ac, hot water, safety deposit box -- even though mine was broken :( , and 24 hours massage -- nice. the only downside of this hotel is the airport transport. it's supposed to be there every hour. but you have to booked it first, and you can only have 2 airport transfer -- either from and to the airport or 2 times go to the airport. i was a little bit disappoint about this, because i expected that i can ask them to take me to the airport and the i can use the arl to visit the city :p but overall it was nice to stay at this hotel. i fully recommend this hotel

Convenient Grand Hotel has several restaurants and nightclubs in a 10 km radius. The hotel is excellent for a stopover being only 10 minutes to Suvarnhabumi airport with a free shuttle to and from the airport. There are some nice restaurants about a 5 minute walk away or you can take a taxi for a short ride to the local malls and fine restaurants. The BTS is a short distance to away and can whisk you to most parts of the city. The hotel has a nice pool and a workout room open 24/7. Hard to be the price, service and convenience!

Nice pleasant stay”

From the start to the finish. The pickup at the airport was kind of a mixed up affair. We were looking for our name on one of those little cardboard signs but found none. After walking up and down the corridor a few times we asked the information people where we could get ahold of someone from the Convient Grand Hotel. They said to go to the waiting area at #4 and ask for the rep. from the Convient Grand Hotel. We did that and were on our way. The man was very friendly and he promply got us a van that took us to the Hotel. The people at the hotel were very helpful and friendly also. The room was very neat and clean. I wanted to use the pool but the wife and daughter wanted to go back shopping and have dinner on the street so they won and I never got to use the pool. Our flight the next morning was very early but we recieved our wake up call on time and the driver took us to the airport on time and that's our review. I will stay with them again as a transient passenger, their prices are good and the service is also very good.

Clean, modest hotel with friendly helpful staff”

We needed a hotel twice the same month, first en route to Hong Kong (overnight in Bangkok), and second time en route from Bangkok to Pattaya. Did some research and found Convenient Grand Hotel suitable to our needs. One important selling point was the airport transfer included, and that they were waiting for us at the airport, upon arrival. The hotel is a 20 minute drive from the airport, close to a very buy highway, and yet in a quiet area. Not much point of interest around though, so if you are looking into cultural sights around, it is not the best choice. For us though, it was a very pleasant experience of staying a night in a clean, modest hotel with large rooms, and very friendly and helpful staff. We took use of the little gym they have, the restaurant and the massage salon (highly recommended after a 10+ hour flight). We found the food good but not exceptional, however the wait staff and service, again, was the best. All in all, we recommend this hotel for an en route/overnight stay in Bangkok, a great serviced accommodation at a very decent price range.

Great hotel for overnight airport layover!”

I arrived at 11pm on Japan Airlines flight after layover in Tokyo from USA. The first flight available to Krabi or Phuket destinations on Thai Airways was not available until following day. This hotel was truly OUTSTANDING for that purpose. I used this hotel and its sister Convenient Resort hotel on my departure for both purpose. This one had great transfer service. Nice reps with signs at described meeting area with my name on it, after short wait the escorted me short walk to their nice van for the short drive to the hotel. The were good at carrying my bags all steps. They gave me coupon for FREE internet ID/Password which worked from room. Good Cable TV. Bathroom was nice and very clean with shower over tub. No shower curtain but the water stayed mostly in tub area. The have a small convenience store in lobby next to check in desk. The were prompt to depart for airport at expected time (once per hour). Would not stay in this hotel for extended stay (although very nice and new/modern) It just is not in an area that would be good for extended tourism if downtown Bangkok was one of your main purposes. For staying for resting and changing of flights due to bad connection time differences it is excellent for that. I didn't try any meals nor breakfast but was very happy about condition of the hotel, condition of room/bathroom and internet and TV in room and services and transfers provided. Would HIGHLY recommend!

my review of convenient grand”

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the convenient grand. Most places you book on the net are far less impressive when you arrive, but I found the convenient grand to be a first rate hotel, and i would most certainly go there again. I like that breakfast and airport transfers where included. whilst the food and it's presentatiion are far different from ours here in Australia, I managed to enjoy a great breakfast every day, with choices from the cold & hot buffet or cooked to order pancakes, which were devine with honey and bananas. Nothing was to much for the staff, whilst the language was a problem, I very quickly found it's just far easier to point to what you want on the menue, rather than trying to explain it to them. Great work Convenient Grand and Agoda

The Convenient Grand Hotel was perfect for a stopover flight in Bangkok between New Zealand and Vietnam. We were worried about the political unrest in Bangkok and decided to stay at a hotel near the airport. The Convenient Grand Hotel was great. We were very glad we stayed there and would stay there again anytime.

Great location”

in the past we have stayed at convenient resort & been happy, but now we have found convenient grand hotel we will be staying here. the staff are friendly & helpful the hotel is fresh and clean, rooms are a good size and clean. food in resturant is good. before we have just stayed in airport hotels overnight but after staying here i think next time we will stay a couple of days to look round the area. we are very happy with everything at this hotel. oh and convenient for airport. we will be back.

Very good for 1 night in Bangkok”

We stayed here only for 1 night (we just wanted to sleep before the next flight). It is the best hotel if you dont'want to see Bangkok sightseeings and just want to comfortabely spend time befor flight. It spends only 15 minutes to go to the hotel from Suvarnabhumi airport (taxi costs 5$). There is airport transfer is available in the hotel. The room is very large, but you can see that the hotel is not new. The breakfast was very good.

for a one night airport stop over, this hotel ticks all the boxes for a reasonable price. clean and large rooms, free airport pick up/drop off, breakfast and wireless included and the best part... being greeted with a smile. the staff here are so friendly and helpful which was a huge relief and appreciated as i had just checked out of the horrible grande ville hotel in chinatown where items were stolen from my case and management were disgracefully unpleasant. it has the added benefit of a massage parlour for 300 baht/hour. indeed a convenient hotel. i enjoyed my stay and was well rested for my flight the next morning.

our bangkok holiday”

s this was our firts trip to Bangkok we really did not know what to expect, but the Convenient Grand was a very pleasant surprise. We were met at the airport and transfered to the hotel effortlessly. Very professional driver, check in was speedy and easily done despite the language barrier. All staff were super helpful, but we did have trouble getting them to understand that I wanted a glass of red wine with my dinner, but ended up with a glass of red label scotch. was a bit unsettling then, but now when I look back, it all added to our experiecne and we laugh about it now. The service desk was very helpful with all activites we asked about, and giving us directions and ideas of things to do. most definitely would go back there again.

Near airport”

For a connecting flight we had to stay for reasons of time one night in Bangkok. To this end, the Grand Hotel Convenient hotel is well placed as it is in the immediate vicinity of the airport. It is plain and simple, but clean and adequate for a short time. A small pool is available. The offer of the kitchen that is basic but tasty and cheap. The next stop in Bangkok where we will book again.
