We stayed in Pestana for New Years this year, and really enjoyed our stay there. The location is great - right in the middle of Copacabana beach, very good buffet breakfast with a huge selection, and really friendly staff who would try their best to accommodate everyone. The only downside is that the rooms are not modern or new. They are quite run down, so it you expec...

We were family of five with teens, what a wonderful hotel and perfect location ...right in the middle of Copacabana beach, right next to the Copacabana Palace ....they put on a fantastic party at the roof top on New Years Eve, we will remember this event for ever ...it was so spectacular, words cant describe

Everything was perfect. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. It's perfectly located at the end of Copacabana Beach and, thus, close to Ipanema Beach. So you get to enjoy both beaches within short walking distance. The rooms are really clean and modern. Highly recommend!

I booked the Executive King Room because of the King Size bed. It was very Comfortable and Big. The room itself was a bit on the small size and didn't have enough closet space for me. On the plus side the Safe was big enough to accommodate my 13" laptop. The shower was a good size with good water pressure. However the bathroom was a little tight. My room was towards...

My mom and I spent a total of 4 nights at this hotel and we had the most incredible stay! The accommodations were great, the staff were the kindest, the breakfast was delicious, the location was prime, and the hotel manager was such a gem! He made sure our stay in Rio De Janeiro was a memorable one. He went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and was truly one of...

Reasonable rate, clean, excellent location close to everything ; restaurant, metro Copacabana beach and shops. Front office and housekeeping were so kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The only improvement needed in the hotel are mattresses and towels. Mattresses aren't comfortable and the towels are thin and tired.

Great hotel close to Copacabana Beach! Lots of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very basic - consist mostly out of bread and fruit. The hotel is perfect for solo travelers or couples on a budget :)

The hotel is perfect for a few days in Rio. It's less than 4 minutes walk to Copacabana beach, the breakfast is good and the twin room was fine. Not huge, but more than enough for two people. We will be back! Only problem was the pool wasn't open when I was there :-(

Copacabana is near, very nice location. In front is a plaza where locals play board games. Good food options around the hotel. If you intend to visit Christ the Redeemer, the place where vans are parked is also walking distance from the hotel. A pleasant walk from Copacabana to Ipanema beach. Cons: Limited breakfast menu and no flat iron in the room.

Wonderful stay. Great location - around are restaurants, fast food, shops and the Copacabana beach is a short walk away (5mins). Breakfast is pretty good with a wide selection. Staff were responsive, helpful and polite. Will definitely stay again if I return to Rio.

The location is ideal. It is very near the beach and a variety of good restaurants and a shopping mall in walking distance. The staff are very accommodating, courteous and helpful. Both the buffet breakfast and dinner are superb. Rooftop bar beside the pool is an asset with service a little slow. I noticed that the bar attendant used his bare hands to put ice in drinks...

big hotel 4 blocks off copacabana beach. great deal for the money. not the most luxurious hotel in copacabana but who cares for this price. rooms are big and clean. breakfast buffet will blow your mind. rooftop terrace with a pool overlooking all of rio de janeiro and right by the mountains. very nice.

First time travelling solo and to South America. The airport transfer didn't arrive through no fault of the hotel but they offered me a complimentary airport transfer on check out without prompting by me. It was very kind of them. It is easy to get a taxi (aerotaxi) from airport but have address with you. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. So close to Copacabana...

We had a private room with shared bathroom for 4 people max. Small room enough to fit the double bed, fridge, cable TV and quiet aircon (very important- we stayed in a much more expensive place round the corner that had a old, noisy aircon that had no remote so you couldn't control the temperature making it difficult to sleep) If you like luxury, then this isn't the pl...

The location was prime (near the Copacabana beach) and amenities such as a drug store and a supermarket were located nearby. The staff were English-speaking and really friendly, but the room was rather cramped (even for a hostel) and lacked ventilation. Not for long term stays.

The location is great, in fact you can have a look at Copacabana beach just when you step out of hotel entrance. The staff is very friendly and the hotel furniture is new, which is a rare find in the hotels nearby. The breakfast options are good too. Its a small hotel, but has a lot to offer.

Location, location, location. Not the Newest hotel, Internet is really bad inside our rooms, but it's perfectly placed 50 from copacabana and 10 mins walk from ipanema. Good daytime personnel. Might stay here again if I return. Definitely in the same area.

I came in the evening in the hotel , and first question of female receptionist was , oh , you are alone. I paid the price for room with two beds. She did not want to help me in confirmation of the journey for the next day(corcovado tour) later her masculine colleague did it.The next day the other female member of the reception staff, refuse to help me in checking after...

very good location for staying at Copacabana playa. If you would like to visit more Rio, take taxi driver recommended by hotel staff - it is the best way. Just 15minutes to SDU airprot and arround 45 minutes to GIG airport. Behind the avenue is nice shop with good local coffe.

The Real Palace Hotel is a full-service property a couple blocks away from Copacabana beach, and it also offers easy access to public transportation - the Ardeal Arcoverde subway station is 3 minutes away on foot. The hotel shows its age a little bit, but I was very satisfied with my choice. There is a swimming pool on the top floor. My standard room was spacious an...

As I mentioned earlier, this was not my first time I stayed at the Augustos Copacabana. The reason why I keep returning to them is that the price is always the best price for what you get. By no means, the Augustos is a five star hotel, but for whatever number of stars they deserve, it is a very hospitable hotel because the people who work there make it this way. I ha...

Windsor Palace located at 3mins walk to Copacabana beach and other places like supermarket, money changer and decent restaurants.
