A bit mixed this time…but still GREAT!”
My wife and I first came on November 24, stayed for a week. This time we arrived on December 7 and stayed 3 days. There were problems, be resolved in a timely manner. First problem found was the email on Agoda was wrong, and my email bounced back. I then went online to contact the hotel for transport from the airport. I was directed to Pesopay link. It didn’t work either after numerous attempts and calls to my bank, discovering Pesopay wasn’t working right. Of course I’m trying to do this while packing for a permanent move to the US. Stress was a constant companion and this Pesopay thing wasn’t helping. Finally, after contacting Diamond again, while at the airport about to depart for Manila, it worked when Diamond sent a new link. Of course, when I went to send a screenshot my phone glitched (user error I’d guess), and I sent emails letting Diamond know we paid. My wife asked if we had a ride, and I said we’ll know if the young man from Diamond is “here” (at Manila Airport (NAIA)). Fortunately, the young man, quite affable and friendly was just outside the door with the sign. He’d met us previously, so it was good to see a familiar face. He loaded our bags into the van and our driver, Randal, drove us to the Diamond Hotel. Of course we were greeted with a group of caring employees. We washed our hands, had our temperature taken, our bags were disinfected, and we checked in. Lucky us, we were upgraded to a corner room. It was spacious and comfortable. Looking around the room, my wife discovered the shower mat was moldy and dirty on the underside. I called the front desk, and in a matter of minutes the problem was resolved. Some might say, “well it shouldn’t be that way to begin with”, to which I say, we’re coming out of a major global pandemic. Restarting our engines of industry is going to take time. My wife and I slept quite well on the pillow-top king sized bed. The next morning we had breakfast, and it was wonderful and more than enough food. It’s too bad screen

All the staff from the receptionist to the bell boy and up to the guards and doorman will treat you a VIP.. The restaurant had an exquisite menu and the Chef is really Uperb. The room was very very clean and everything is there on what a 5 star hotel should be. The location is perfect if you go to the Manila Dolomite Beach..kudos to the staff

Great location - close to airport. Accommodating staff. Nice big room. Great food (even quarantine food). Nice sunset view depending on your room I guess - makes my 10 day quarantine bearable. One complaint though - internet is painfully slow. It took several hours to upload an 8 minute video on YouTube. One important tip - check the price on the hotel's website first before booking.

The hotel is still very clean just like years ago.regarding their buffet breakfast, the price isn’t worth. Choices are very limited unlike before. They only serve 2 kinds of fruits and the bread section have very few kinds of bread you can choose. Years ago they have.Abundant choices of fruits you can choose and mouthwatering bread/pastries, not anymore. The main meal for breakfast is more on eggs and only 4 kinds of “ulam” you can choose on, which are not very appealing. Well the hotel atmophere is still very nice. Used to stay here everytime i come home. However, i still recommend Diamond hotel for it’s cleanliness , ambiance and service.

We chose Diamond Hotel as our wedding preps venue and it was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. Booked 2 rooms, executive suite and deluxe room. Come our check-in day, the deluxe room was upgraded to premium. Both rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and all the staffs were polite and welcoming. Got congratulatory tokens as well. We had no problem with the arrival of our suppliers and guests for pictorial. The only mishap we’ve experienced is that we weren’t able to park our cars as the parking was full (understandable due to the SEA Games). We’ll definitely choose this hotel again for upcoming events.

Coming out of the Pandemic shining”
This was my 4th choice for a hotel, but it will be my first choice in the future. The only downside was the driver who picked us up at the airport drove 10km below the speed limit. When you’ve been traveling all day, you just want to get to your room and relax, not dawdle around. Second, he delivered us to the quarantine side, which we aren’t. So, we had to go around the bowels of the hotel to check-in. Finally got to our room, and the stay has been fantastic thus far. The staff is wonderful. Facilities are open, and only fully vaccinated people are allowed in. A wonderful experience!

Old but clean”
This is where we had our wedding preparations in 2014. We came back this year to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel, although quite old, is clean, spacious, well-maintained. It has good location and good buffet. The jacuzzi is so hot but the swimming pool is okay.

Good Hotel, but could put more effort environmentally”
We do like to stay at your Hotel. The location is very convient. Walking distance to Robinsons. One of the big downside for us is the concern for the environment. You still use those little one-way-use Shampoo and Soap bottles. We suggest you get some nice refillable dispensers. Then get rid of those ugly Plastic mineral bottles. We don’t want to add to the plastic problem of this world. Since we carry our own bottle, we are glad you have water in the lobby. In the room you can provide nice refillable glass blottle or a stainless jar with drinking water. Many hotels and restaurants are doing this already worldwide. We found Diamond Hotel old fashioned in this way. Don’t use plasticstraws for drinks. There are many options Like paper or bamboo straws. You do have a sign in the room that you would like to preserve the environment by reducing the laundry, changing sheets and towels, which is great, but seems it mostly benefits your costs savings, rather than the environment.
