Don Mueang International Airport hotels & places to stay

Attended a concert in Impact Arena. Alternative to Novotel Impact. Much cheaper. Connected to the arena via walkway bridge which will take about 10minutes walk. Very safe. Lots of restaurants/stalls nearby the Impact convention centre. 15 mins drive to Don Mueang International airport (off peak hours only; took us nearly 1 hour during rush hour). Room has basic amenities but sufficient for short stay. Love it!

I travelled with 2 kids and 2 elderly. Recent to choose this hotel because it is close to Dream World for our last destination and close to Don Mueang airport. Perfect choice as the hotel was far beyond our expectation. Staffs are super friendly, checked in and checked out was less than 2 minutes. Rooms are clean, comfort beds, bathroom utilities excellent, even have kid playground in the lobby which is perfect for the kids while waiting for our van. Swimming pool is perfect with warm water, but it is located at the next building. Surrounding the hotel, we have cafes, bars and factory outlets. If we looking to go to mall the closest one would be Central Mall, about 10 minutes by cab and cost less than 100 baht. Would very recommend this hotel if anyone that planning to go Dream World and safe the time travel and traffic.

I had early morning flight. It harded for to drived 80 kms. far away from Don Mueang Int' airport. Firstly I looking for accomodations opposite the airport, but when I saw the drive-route, it was so complicated. Agoda show Asia Airport Hotel, it was my answer, the hotel is on the same side of the hotel, you can drive directly to the airport. Safe time and safe drive. In room have toiletries you need. Room is clean and neat. 24 hrs. reception, restuarants and etc.

It is a very affordable 4.5 star hotel. It was originally $65 aud, but I had enough points with agoda and I decided to use them and I got $25 off, so it came up to be $40 a night. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the check in was quick. The room was a nice size, had a lot of things as you would for a 4.5 star hotel. The bathroom even had a tv which was an old small one. I believe the hotel might of been half full because of the location, but I had the whole swimming pool to myself and watched planes take off from Don mueang airport at the same time. They had about 3 restaurants, a café and a bar. The buffet breakfast was a good selection too. The only downside is the hotel is away from the city and lots of other things. But there is a shopping mall about a 10 minute walk going up north, and about a 10 minute taxi ride to Don muaeng airport so good if your getting an early morning flight or good for crashing after a long flight arriving at don mueang airport.

The apartment is nice and looked new. Price is on the cheap side. But considering that I need to keep taking Grab to the city instead of BTS/MRT I probably ended up not saving much. If you are here for 1/2 nights and need to fly to/from Don Mueang Airport, might be a good choice. But if you need to go the city for shopping and sightseeing everyday better choose somewhere near a BTS/MRT station. Also took me about 30-40minutes to walk from Don Mueang Airport to Prima Residence. Not as near as expected from the map provided. On the plus side they provide free Airport shuttle to Don Mueang Airport hourly starting at 4am.Internet is pretty fast too.

Old room, but clean and quite comfortable. Fast Wi-fi is provided for free, but not much other tangible amenities (no world-wide TV channel, no fitness center, no pleasant view, etc). Food and beverage is not bad. Staffs are helpful. They can speak and understand English, which is uncommon to the locals in Bangkok. The best feature is the location of the hotel, very near to Don Mueang Airport (designated as Low-Cost Airport from Oct 2012) and to the city (compared to Suvarnabhumi airport).

We stayed at TK Palace for one night because we were catching an early flight from Don Mueang airport. We had come in on the train from Chiang Mai and they let us check in at 7:00 a.m., which was great. I was a little worried from some of the reviews I read, but other than the room being a little more dated than the pictures show online, it was adequate for what we needed. It was clean, had a safety deposit box, good wifi and staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, a buffet with a lot of foods choices. If we weren't catching a flight we wouldn't stay in this location as we didn't find a lot to do within walking distance and the BTS & MRT don't come out this far. It worked out well though as we needed to extend our visa's and the government building was right down the street.

I was very happy and satisfied with my stay in Don Muang Hotel. I had a late arrival from Don Mueang International Airport, good thing that I decided to booked my 1 night stay here! The room was huge with balcony, new and very clean. (room was really well maintained, also the hotel itself) . Staff was nice and helpful too. I had complimentary breakfast which was really delicious, especially the sticky rice with chicken skewers! The only downside was it is far from the center and not connected to the BTS, you need a Grab or Taxi in order to go somewhere but totally would recommend this place if you have a flight in or out to/from Don Mueang International Airport. I stayed here solely for this purpose so I could be at Thai immigration by 6 am. Restaurant serves good food at fair prices for a hotel. Hotels been newly renovated and looks great, compared to a year ago. Rooms spacious and nicely decorated with a cute sofa. Good lighting and ac works very well. Bathroom a little cramped. Its close to Don Mueang airport, but I wouldn't recommend this place if you are wanting to see the sites of Bangkok, too far out.

This new hotel (opened in early 2018) is located not far from Don Mueang International airport and nearby several govt depts in Chaeng Watthana Road. The rooms are simple but clean. However there are not much facilities (such as swimming pool, restaurants, fitness gym, business center, etc.). The only downside that I noticed is that the rooms tend to be very hot and stuffy because you are given only one access card which also turns on the electricity in the room. It's a noble idea to save electricity but not comfortable for guests when you have to leave the room and return later.

Viva Hotel, Bangkok Booked for one night to be close to Don Mueang airport. One website says 15 minutes drive, reception told us 45 minutes, however it took us 90 minutes maybe due to all the road works. Luckily we were using a grab taxi with the price gauranteed when booking, dread to think what the cost of a metered taxi would have been. More of a corporate hotel, a bit like Travel Lodge. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Breakfast more for local taste than western. Ok for a one night stop over but take into account the travelling time to the airports.

Initially we had a hard time finding the hotel. We asked one taxi driver who had no idea where it was and drove away. The second taxi driver had to call the hotel and ask for directions. It is down a maze of one way streets that branch off from a main street across from the Don Mueang Airport. Our hotel room was huge with a huge bed and large windows lining two of the walls, a definite plus for fans of natural lighting. There were two desks, a large closet, a cushion topped shoe shelf/bench, a TV, a TV stand with shelves,a refrigerator, and two bedside tables - plenty of places to put stuff. There were many lighting options for the room which included wall sconces, recessed lighting, and overhead lights with dimmers. The free airport shuttles depart at 4 AM, 5 AM, and 6 AM - however, if everyone on the list for a particular time is ready early, they will leave early. Note that these are the only shuttle times available, if you need later times you will have to call a cab. We were very pleased with the room, the hotel's proximity to the airport, and the low price.

Good basic accommodation very close to Don Mueang airport, but be aware because of Bangkok traffic can still take 20 - 30 minutes to airport. Limited European breakfast (but hey you are in Thailand so try Thai for a change!) but good overall selection. Very very quiet & peaceful place to stay considering you are in the heart of Bangkok & close to a major airport. Well worth the money & would definitely stay again. Can opt for a late checkout for a few hundred baht extra.

Ebina Hotel is really really near don muang airport that's why a few airport cab drivers seemed hesitate to drive us, so we didn't want to bargain when the taxi counter staff charged us 200baht. From hotel to airport, the very nice lady cab driver used meter and the fare was about 100 baht only. Hotel to Chatuchak market is not too far but the journey back is further due to one-way road and cab driver have to drive pass the hotel on the other side of the road towards airport then u-turn after IT Mall. After passing by two 7-11, ask the driver to turn left into the lane , you will see the tall hotel on the left. The hotel surrounding might look remote at first, but after exploring, in fact it's quite happening. There is a big spa & massage place next door(staff quite friendly), and a restaurant (in residential house setting) which serves very very yummie thailand food, many local customers, we ate there every night-big bone soup, papaya salad, bbq fish, etc. all are really aroi, price reasonable and staff are friendly, miss the food... There is a market right next to the hotel too which opens in the morning till around 1pm, yummie food & lots of stuff to buy. There are also several convenient stores outside the hotel. Staff of Ebina Hotel are very friendly & helpful, especially Ms Chanchao & Kat-sorry if I spell your name wrongly :). Concierge always willing to walk all the way outside the hotel to call for cab for us. The room we stayed is very spacious, comfortable and clean. We like the breakfast too, many variety, fruits, salad, noodle, etc. Will stay in this hotel again.

I have seen this hotel advertised elsewhere too as ‘48 Ville Don Muang Airport’, but I must make this clear from the outset that in my opinion this is NOT an airport hotel, it is nowhere near the Don Mueang International Airport. For example, we left the hotel at 4am in the morning in the shuttle bus and travelled for a good 15 minutes at very high speed (at least at Warp Factor 4!) along a deserted motorway before we reached the airport. The previous evening it took us over one hour to reach the hotel from the airport, leaving there at 7pm, because of bad traffic. So please, don’t be fooled by the name, this is not an airport hotel. Having said that, it was very clean, newly refurbished, our room was very modern, it had a reasonable shower, we ate in the excellent 24-hour, reasonably priced, restaurant, it has a free shuttle service to the airport, very friendly staff, and it was very cheap to stay there. However, I would not use it again for an overnight airport-stay.

Good: - near don muaeng airport - breakfast ok - free airport transfer (actualy from the first, the staff said they dont have any free airport transfer, but after i request, because i saw booking.com review that they do have free airport transfer, then only the staff agree to give me free airport transfer.) Bad: - check in slow - No kettle in room, if need hot water, have to go lobby to ask from staff. - No phone in room. - water pressure is very low, so the water come very slow.

I booked this hotel as I had a very long journey from the Gold Coast and was flying out next day to Chiang Rai. Be aware that it is walking distance from Don Mueang Airport, walk across the aero bridge through the Hotel lobby of Amari Hotel and out onto the Street, I was quoted 200 baht from the taxi waiting there. Walk along the road to the 7/11 turn left and it is only couple of hundred metres. Check in was very quick and the young lady carried my 20kg bag upstairs as there is No lift. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet.I did not eat there so cannot comment on breakfast. I thought the Hotel should be rated above 2 star as it was excellent value for money. I suggested to the Manager that they should place a sign on the road near Amari Hotel to make it a little easier to get there, I was lucky I spoke to a person at the 7/11 who had previously stayed at the Hotel. When travelling I will use this hotel again, excellent.

I've been flying domestically to Bangkok for a day/night stay and so far this has been the best place I've found that's walking distance to the airport. bear in mind if you choose to stay at a distance to far to walk to and from the airport you must factor in your travel expenses when reviewing the price of the hotel. the walk is about 10. minutes and its in a nice mini town which has its own charm independent from the mainstream Bangkok. the room aims at comfort and convenience, it doesn't have a soundproof door so some sound does intrude but the hotel is down a Soi so it escapes the more invasive noises of vehicles. the pool is great escape from heat and harsh life of the capital. the lady at the restaurant on the top floor is extremely helpful. I've been trying out a. number of hotels around Don Mueang Airport and after finding this my search is finally over.

My partner and I booked this place for Foo Fighters concert at IMPACT Challenger Hall 2, Bangkok. The place is indeed near/walking distance to the hall. The place has strong aircon and the quality of the room is not bad for the place - the bed and room were clean. The place itself is a neighborhood and it is not the cleanest place we've stayed in Thailand, but we will recommend it because of the great location, room quality, and the helpful staff of SK Muangthongthani Apartment, most especially if you are coming from an event or concert at IMPACT. Below C9 Popular Condominium are many eateries. The location is great for foodies and people on a budget. We especially enjoyed the one just beside their office. The only difficultly we had is that WiFi is not strong in our room in the 15th floor so we cannot connect. We had to go down to their office to use the net.
