Beautiful location, great resort”

Loved our stay here. Thong Nai Pan is a stunning location with the best beach on the island. We were happy to see Dreamland is at the quieter end of the bay and the pool looked great. The food is great and the staff very friendly. Our room was only fan but was perfectly fine - clean and comfortable. Also noted that there weren't very many mosquitoes which was a relief. The pool is really nice but could do with being cleaned late afternoon as a film of dirt gathers in one corner depending on wind direction. However, overall really recommend this hotel and will happily stay there again.

Friendly Staff & Beautiful Bungalows and delicous food”

We had a wonderful time at this wonderful resort at the most beautiful bay on Koh Phagnan! I visited Thong Nai Pan Yai for the first time 15 years ago and it was a joy to return to this magical beach bringing my wife and children along. The burmese staff were wonderful, the cuisine exceptional (especially the red snapper and pad thai) and the location is simply stunning. We will be back in the future

Perfect Stay ”

Our stay at dreamland resort was just wonderful. The resort is located on a very nice, clean and quiet beach. For everyone looking for a relaxing stay, this is the perfect place. The room was okay, next time I would book a room with AC and not just a fan and the room only had one plug to charge the smartphone etc. But once you see the pool you know the resort is worth the money. Very clean and directly at the beach we spend lots of time just sunbathing. There is not much to do at that location, no shopping or partying, but there are lots of nice restaurants directly located at the beach. For a few relaxed days just laying in the sun, the dreamland resort is the perfect choice! :)

Great Budget Resort`”

After hopping around and staying in some hostels during our trip to Thailand, Dreamland Resort was a savior for the end of our Thailand trip. It was by far one of the cleanest and nicest place we stayed in, but that being said we stayed in a lot of hostels before (some were unclean). The rooms here were clean and tidy and most of the bathrooms were as well. The staff were incredibly nice and helped us sort out some issues we had with upgrading our rooms, and even gave us a discount! They also helped us book our taxi to the Full Moon Party and with our island tour as well. They also have a great restaurant in the resort that serves really good thai food. The resort is right by the beach so access to the beach is super convenient and easy. There is also a great pool in the resort with a bar located inside the pool. Overall great stay if you want a decently clean place with a budget on the island.

Sanity in crazy-price Thailand at Christmas. ”

Well done Dreamland for having a super resort in a fantastic location and... very reasonable prices. Friendly staff, super pool and great atmosphere. For this price at Xmas, you really really can not beat Dreamland. Felt like 2-3000 per night resort, but was just 600 baht. Large, clean pool and bar right on a beautiful beach. Sweet location and great pool”

great hotel on the nicest beach on koh phangan. rooms are very basic but the great price makes it value for money when you take into consideration the pool (with swim up bar), location on the beach and good restaurant. would stay here again. just watch on for jetski in koh phangan (not related to hotel). take photos of them before you go out, with the owner in the photo.

Nice Resort on calm beach”

Basic resort but with nice pool direct on a very calm beach. For breakfast recommend Siam House, Dinner at the Living room. Still very quiet area, while Thong Nai Pan Noi became more a high end spot with many luxury resorts.

Good stay on good beach”

I must say that I think the room I had, a hut with aircon, no tv and quite basic, was a little too expensive. Since I'm around 50 years old I search for calm and not so noisy stays when on holiday. Still I like to meet people and some party when I feel for it. This beach at Thong Nai Pan Yai is for me the best one and actually I think Koh Pangan is the best place in Thailand for a holiday. The size of the Island is perfect, you can easilly go by motorbike to main city Thong Sala, or also quite big Had rin, and the rest of the beaches. Still, it's not to small and the roads are quite good. So there is city life, beach life and shopping life all within close distances, if you ride a motorbike. You can of course stay at one place, at one beach, but that gets to boring for me. If you're like me, like to do go around and see things, do some shopping, go around to different restaurants, try different hotels and so on, but don't like to ride motorbike, I wouldn't go there. Also it´s easy to take the ferry to Koh Samui or Koh tao for staying there a night or two. I went on to Koh Chang after a week but regret that I didn't stay for a couple of more days at Koh Pangang. The only thing better on Koh Chang is that you can find better hotels for a nicer price.

Fantastic! ”

We have just come back from staying at Dreamland Resort as part of our Thailand trip. It's in a great area on the beach and the rooms were decent. The food was amazing, we ate something different every night and every time we were impressed. There is a good sized swimming pool with a pool bar and it is the best resort pool on the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful, can't fault Dreamland at all.

Perfect relaxed getaway!”

We celebrated our 10th anniversary at Dreamland, and it was everything I had hoped and more! We loved our simple bungalow, the A/C worked great, and the bed was the least uncomfortable of all uncomfortable beds we've slept on in Thailand (maybe its out budget range, but they have all been bad). Knowing it was our anniversary, the staff decorated our bed with flowers and had roses in the room- a very sweet gesture. All of of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The poolside bar was a great feature we took advantage of, and the restaurant was good. It is not a party place, and far from the action at the full or half moon parties, but there are a few bars down the beach that stay open later if that's what you want. The beach is gorgeous, and the grounds/atmosphere are beautiful. A great spot for a romantic getaway, and also perfect for a relaxed family vacation as well. We loved it and Ko Phangan, and hope to go back with our kids next time.

we booked dreamland resort for two nights and we stayed for two weeks amazing beach so beautiful,crystal water and white sand the crew was so nice and polite the food is great and cheap lovely pool with a bar inside the room is great and near the beach and the restorant very quiet place for couples or familys over all... we will come back

A mixed bag of impressions”

Our stay at Dreamland resort was a mixed bag. A lot has been said about this hotel, mostly good stuff, so let me place my views categorically. Pro - the resort is on the beautiful beach of Thong Nai Pan Yai. This beach, to the far north of Koh phangan, is completely secluded from the rest of the island. The evening walks are splendid. If you are a leisure traveller you will simply love it. Con - its quite a distance from the frequently used Thong sala pier which you must use if you want to go to places like Koh tao, Surat Thani or elsewhere, or from Haad Rin where the Full moon party is hosted. A private taxi will cost 800 Bht and shared ones 200-300(twice a day). Pro - the resort has a swimming pool with a swim up bar right next to the beach. Con - The rooms are pretty depressing, we paid about 1500 Bht for a standard double room, which had no TV no wardrobe and (get this!) No drinking water. Needless to say there was no fridge or electric kettle either. Wifi is very weak. Pro - staff were cordial and helpful. There are several shops,including a 7-11 right next to the resort to fulfill your daily needs. Con - all staff leave by 10PM and come back only in the morning leaving the eerie feeling of being a bit unsafe. In a nutshell if you want to spend a few quiet days at Koh Phangan without much expectation from the room, go ahead and book the resort and try to come back by ten.

A great place to stay”

This resort was exactly what we were looking for. The location is brilliant. It's right on the beach, with the pool overlooking the sea. The pool itself is just great. It's the largest on this beach, and it has a pool bar which sells delicious cocktails. The staff are very nice and friendly, and the restaurant sells pretty good food at slightly lower prices than at the neighboring beachfront restaurants. Be mindful that these are still tourist restaurant prices, so higher than eslewhere in Thailand. There is a variety of bungalows at this resort, so everyone should be able to find something that they are satisfied with. The rooms tend to be simple, but are fully functional. The resort also has a dive shop and a beachfront massage parlor, as well a minimart and two ATMs. It is a popular place, so it's not the best for those seeking complete solitude. However, it is great for anyone who wants an upbeat, fun athmosphere. Overall I was very satisfied with our stay.

Perfect Beach & Perfect Pool”

We stayed at the Dreamland last year and came back again! Do I have to say more? :-) It is the best beach on Ko Phangan if you look for a quiet place to stay. The pool is amazing, perfect dor kids as well because there's a separated kids' area. This beach is a great place to simply relax and chill out. I totally recommend it.

Pleasant and relaxing stay”

Perfect. Beds were OK, rooms clear. Located on - from my point of view - on one of the best positions of Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach. Hotel Staff is nice, reliable and fast.

Still great beach & pool, friendly staff”

We are returning visitors to Dreamland. The location is still great, right at the beautiful beach and the big pool overlooking the beach is in good condition with a nice poolbar. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant serves good food. The bungalows are a bit older and need some maintenance so it's not really as good value as it was a few years ago. This beach (Yai) is now very quiet in low season, there are just a few people staying there and many restaurants were closed or empty end of september. The next beach (Noi) is nearby and has a more lively village though.

Lovely Thai style cabins and best beach on Koh pha ngan ”

Pool and beach are fantastic, clean, clear and quiet. Th cabins are basic Thai style wooden furniture, very fixed. With the humidity here traditional Thai decor is simple basic without fuss. If you want decadent then book somewhere elements more expensive. Mattresses are harder than Europe this is preference as Thais usually sleep on tiled floors with a mat so quite hard for people used to feather top beds. Bathrooms are open plan meaning Thai style doesn't usually have shower stall. Plumbing in Thailand cannot handle toilet paper use the basket! They only have simple septic system not western style bathrooms but very clean and airy. Staff were friendly, a little shy. Service here is less upfront so politely get their attention when you need something. I've seen negative remarks on the rooms- this is Thailand! Not Hawaii, not Italy, not New York. Basic island style as everything had to be made or shipped here. Water is precious on the island with a 5 month dry season so water pressure everywhere on island and Thailand in general is light. Not just here. Meals were suprisingly good value 100 baht burger and fries, coffee same, mango shakes 70 baht. Same prices you will see outside. This location is for a quiet holiday, book some scuba or snorkelling they will bring the best right up to resort beach to pick you up. Quiet family style laid back holiday. If you want glamour and vogue Conde Nast then pay the prices and go 5 star. This is 2-3 star basic accommodation. Clean, simple, great location.

Absolute Heaven”

Couldn't say enough good things about this place. Fortunately for us, we had the place to ourselves, being in off season in the last week of November. Weather was pleasant from the 70s to 80s. Our lil' cabin was perfect (expect a few bugs here and there, as it is slightly rustic), and we mostly spent our time near the pool and beach and enjoying the amazing food that their restaurant cooked. Loved the dogs that roamed the property, very friendly. Staff was so nice, and the little town that is walking distance from there had some nice little shops and restaurants. Should have just spent the entire vacation at Dreamland. Would definitely recommend!
