I visited Iriomote Bay for the first time, and it was more peaceful than I expected, allowing me to spend a relaxing time with nothing around. I had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and the variety of dishes in the course was abundant, making for delicious meals that left me completely satisfied! My favorite was the simmered fish. There is a private beach and a pool, so I think it's possible to enjoy the hotel all summer long! There were also families staying there.
憧れのビーチフロント、プール付きヴィラ！ヤギのメェちゃんが癒しの存在♪ 海は、季節柄なのかそういうエリアなのか分からないが、エメラルドグリーンの透き通った感じx白い砂浜ではなかった。でも干渉時には貝殻拾いに夢中になれる♪ 掃除は行き届いており部屋にはアルコールスプレーや殺虫剤も常備してあるが、やはり大自然の島なので、虫さん達からは逃れられない笑。神経質な人や虫が大の苦手な人にはキツいかもしれないが、それはこのホテルの問題ではなく、島全体がそうなのだろうと予測できる。 部屋とレストラン館内は冷房がかなり効いているので防寒具は持って行った方が良い。虫除け対策として敢えて冷房と換気を行っているとのこと。 台数は少ないが洗濯機と乾燥機は使い放題！収客数の多い大型リゾートホテルとは違い、のんびり自分のペースで過ごせたのが最高♪ スタッフの方々は素晴らしく、ツアーの説明や子供のわがままにも応えてくれたりと、リゾートながらもアットホーム感あり。 若い頃にリゾバをしていた頃を思い出させてくれた♪ お世話になりました。また機会があれば訪れたいです。
We are foreign travelers who specifically came to Iriomote Island to see the natural ecology. This hotel is located in the middle of a hot spot for Iriomote cats; there are often sightings of them on the nearby driving roads. The hotel is situated between Uehara Port and Ohara Port, approximately 20 minutes to Uehara Port, and also within 30 minutes to Fukue Island, the Iriomote Wildlife Center, and Ohara Port. Additionally, the hotel is very close to the trail leading to Komi Dake. The environment of the hotel is very good, with a beautiful coastline nearby where you can also play with goats. Remember, you must drive there because it's basically impossible to reach without a car.
Sunrise Beach right in front of us! We could play in the pool too ^ ^ The starry sky was beautiful! ⭐︎ It was the best! The air conditioning worked well, and the room was comfortable! My friends and I were also talking about wanting to stay again ^ ^

It seems that hotel shuttle service is only available from Ōhara Port, but the basic means of transportation is either bus, rental car, rental bike, or rental bicycle, and there doesn't seem to be a taxi service. The location is between Uehara Port and Ōhara Port, so a rental car is necessary for moving with large luggage. The nearest bus stop appears to be at a nearby hotel about a 10-15 minute walk away, but there are only four buses a day to both Uehara Port and Ōhara Port (two in the morning and two in the afternoon). Each port is about a 30-minute drive away. The room was equipped with a bed, TV, compact refrigerator, table and stool, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand and face soap, cup, toothbrush, hairbrush, razor, body wash sponge, cotton, and a set of hair ties. There were only two hangers available, and no place to put clothes, so it seems best to use the hotel’s washing machine and dryer to fold laundry and store it in the suitcase. The washing machine and dryer were freely accessible, which was helpful. Many insects, such as geckos and large spiders, appear in the room, so it might be better to keep luggage in bags with zippers closed to prevent them from getting in. Near the room I stayed in, there was a Sagarihana. The pool is available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You can access the beach from the pool area, and the sunrise was beautifully visible. Breakfast was delicious and served in a moderate amount. Beverages included sanpin tea, pineapple juice, orange juice, passion fruit juice, and coffee. Dinner options include the Ryukyu course (indoor) and BBQ course (outdoor), which can be reserved, offering locally sourced ingredients that were very tasty (the Ryukyu course is around ¥6000). There are no shops nearby, but drinks can be bought from the hotel vending machine. It is necessary to purchase any required or desired items in advance somewhere else. There are no lights around, so the stars are very visible and beautiful. I recommend bringing a camera to capture the night sky. In the garden, there is a cute little goat named Me-chan. Additionally, there are many other creatures and various plants to see, making it enjoyable just to walk around. Not only during the day but also at night, driving slowly can lead to encounters with various animals, so I recommend it. Souvenirs can be bought at either port, but I felt that Ōhara Port was closer from the hotel, so I bought them at Ōhara Port’s Daifuku Joint Store and shop. Some restaurants offer shuttle services, but there was none for the restaurant I wanted to visit (towards Uehara Port) to Eco Village, so I moved by rental car. If you want to eat while drinking, it seems best to reserve a meal at the hotel. There were hardly any encounters with other people, making for a very nice experience with a feeling of slow time passing.
