Fortunately, they had the room ready, allowed for an early check-in, and gave me a room upgrade as a birthday gift, since my birthday was in two days. 1. The staff were truly amazing – they continuously congratulated me joyfully for my birthday and were considerate from the first day until the last. On the final day, three staff members came to see me off at the door... really, just that moment gave me so many warm memories of Hanoi. I hope the hotel owner values the people working here. 2. Room, location – the cleanliness is outstanding, the bedding is clean and comfortable, and the location speaks for itself. It’s near Hoan Kiem and the beer street, which is a huge plus for traveling. It's not noisy at all. I was surprised at how quiet it was compared to what I expected. 3. Breakfast – fantastic. It had a simple variety, but everything was delicious. I truly enjoyed my meals. I did see the occasional tiny ant or two on the bathroom wall, but they were really tiny little ants. I think you’d find something similar in any old hotel in Hanoi. I just had such great memories here that it really made me love Hanoi itself, and I will definitely come back here next time. But the main reason is the incredible staff! Thank you once again! ♡
Outstanding stay for us in whole of Vietnam! The best ! So soo much courteous staff and the manager Mr. Justin , such a gem of a person he is ! Right from our check in to check out this man won all our hearts ! Not just he interacted well in English he's humble and sweet! He even got us upgraded to suite room ! The room was spacious, good WiFi, near to all attractions, delicious breakfast with lots of options and great aesthetics! Good lift! Indian vegetarians can make their vegan sandwich, coffee , fruits, desserts, and good coffee! U can ask them to add extra salt, cheese and onion for Ur omelette! They arranged for our airport transfer with nominal fee A total 11/10 for making our stay the most memorable in Vietnam!
My wife and I stayed 3 nights in a Superior (Standard Room). We were warmly greeted and given local information and a cup of tea on arrival. Or room on the 4th floor only had a window to a light well, but was clean and comfortable with a good bed and pillows. The bathroom was also a nice size, bright, and had a good hot shower with rain and hand held heads. Breakfast was great, with a nice selection, including salads, hot food (sausages, crispy bacon, baked tomatoes etc etc) as well as eggs to order, toast, croissants, cakes and tea/coffee. Location wise “perfect”, centrally located in the Old Quarter, in close proximity to the Hoan Kiem Lake , and a multitude of eating places. Finally, but not least, the staff, who were all super friendly, helpful and professional. A special call out to Justin and Julia. When we next return to Hanoi the Emerald Waters Classy, will definitely be our no.1 choice.
Checkin was fast and easy. Got a nice welcome drink and some fruit. They really try to make you feel you’re in a luxury place. For example I’m always greeted kindly when coming or going. Doors were opened for me consistently when possible. Checked into my room and it was nice and clean. Had a musty smell that really only lasted a few minutes and never smelled since being in the room. Probably from the AC from not being used. Shower and sink relatively new and no issues. Balcony was on the smaller side and not big enough to actually be usable without feeling cramped. So didn’t really use it much. King bed was very comfy and slept well. Room was very spacious. I was barely in the room other than to sleep so didn’t really use the mini bar or any other amenities to comment. Morning breakfast was really good with a pretty large variety of items. 3 hour window for free breakfast was nice which was downstairs from the lobby. They have 24/7 security. Great location in the heart of old town near many markets, cafes, spas, restaurants, and shopping. One block away from beer street. Staff was incredible and always helpful. Would repeat again for sure.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Emerald Waters Classy. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and even received a complimentary upgrade to a better room, which was such a pleasant surprise. The hotel itself is impeccably clean, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is fantastic, right next to the weekend night market and with many local restaurants and street food stalls around. It made exploring the area easy and enjoyable, especially in the evenings. Breakfast was a highlight each morning: delicious, fresh, and continuously topped up with a good variety of options to suit different tastes. But what really sets this hotel apart is the people who run it. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely polite. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. We absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and will definitely come back to stay again in the future!
