Located next to the ferry terminals on picturesque Katajanokka peninsula, this hostel offers extremely good value for money. The hostel is only a ten minute walk from Market Square and the historic city center, and the nearest tram stop is right outside the door. Eurohostel - Helsinki in Helsinki has fresh, recently renovated private rooms with laminate floors, immaculately clean shared showers, toilets, and communal kitchens with TVs on every floor. The on-site Katajanmarja restaurant serves excellent and inexpensive food, there is a launderette and a free top floor sauna.

One of the best hostel I've ever stayed in 2020”
I've booked the room for 3 person. The room was very awesome. Room is very big and clean. I've traveled for 25 days in 11 countries and I guess this hostel is one of the best hostel I've ever stayed. It has open kitchen on 3rd and 4th floor. The location is very very very near from tram station and Viking Lines Ferry. It's so recommend to stay in this hostel. If I will come back to Helsinki, I will stay here again

located very near the helsinki port, so it's an amazing location for people who come or leave by a cruise ship. staff was friendly and helpful, made me feel welcomed. the single room was spacious, laying my suitcase on the floor and leaving it open would only take up a small corner in the room. there was a big table in the room, but it was a little dirty. mattress and pillow were a little hard for my liking, but it was no big deal for a short stay. the common showers and toilets were sparkling clean. however, the shower rooms were not so user-friendly. the shelf in each shower was extremely small that i could hardly put anything on it; there were no hooks of any sort for my towels and clothes, only two hooks outside of each cubicle; the door at each cubicle was small and had a gap in the middle, so it felt there was a lack of privacy and made me nervous.

The only thing I didn't like was the public showers, zero privacy, you gotta be comfortable with other people seeing you naked, also showers don't lock at all so basically anyone could come inside. Safety was lacking for me. Overall really perfect for the price, would stay again :)

Good location, hot sauna ”
Really decent place. Secure and clean. The free sauna in the AM is a great way to start the day. The rooms are spacious and have tons of shelves. The in house restaurant is pretty good. The staff is on duty 24/7 and nice and helpful. The location is right by he 4 and 5 tram lines and close to everything. Had a great stay here.

not far from city and the public transportation, near harbor. supermarket is also within walking distance. kitchen and sauna facility are functional and quite well maintained. the only issue to me is a bit cold in September.

Perfect for the price and location”
Pros: good price, great location, 24/7 reception, kitchen, etc. Only thing i didn’t like was the public showers, they were separated women from men but they where basically in the open, no security, anyone could come in. And i don’t enjoy showring in front of strangers. If you don’t mind, then it’s perfect!

Great one for short stay and transit”
It is easily reachable if you have the region ABC train ticket (you can still use it on the Tram after arrival by train). I stayed in single room so there is no issue with noise and other issue. Room is simple given the price, but still the bathroom and toilet is clean. The free sauna in the morning is a must try. If you wake up late, you can skip the breakfast and have brunch in the old market hall within 15mins walk or few minutes by tram. If you need 1-2 night transit in Helsinki, this is a great one as you can buy a 24/48 hours ABC ticket for both round trip train and tram, so that you dont need to stay near the train station indeed as those hotels are somehow much expensive.

10 mins (tram #4) from Helsinki City Center Train station. Walking distinct to market square, church & city museum. Hostel discount card can be applied with extra discount but price comparison is highly recommended. Shared Toilet & shower is available on each floor. Well equipped kitchen with TV, fringe, microwave, electric stroves, utensil is available at 4/5/6th floor. However, there is no air condition or fan in bedroom which will be very hot in day time (25-28c). Midnight will cool down to 22-23c with small window opened. Bed sheet, pillow cover & bath towel provided at bedroom. Friendly & helpful receptionist. Luggage can be kept for 24 hrs. Laundry & coin vending machine (snack, coffee & beverage) is available at lobby. Breakfast can be reserved at Euro10.5/meal.

Helpful Staff. Easy To Find. Peaceful and Quiet”
I stayed in Helsinki for a week during the world figure skating championships. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. I particularly liked the idea of being able to store luggage free on my last day after checking out, as my flight was not until late afternoon. That gave me time to sight - see, without the hassle of having to take my luggage with me. The rooms are basic, but clean, and there is ample wardroom space to keep belongings. Thank you for a relaxing visit.

Good option for short stay in Helsinki”
I stayed at this hostel in a twin room, it was comfortable and clean. The room was big enough for 2 people. The shared bathroom was always clean. I did not try the breakfast because i found it expensive (10 euros). The tram station (tram 4) is 2 min away, so you are very good connected to the city center. I also used Uber and from the hostel to the central station, price was about 6-8 euros. The personal was sometimes friendly sometimes not. I think helsinki is kind of expensive so that this hostel is a good value for money (75 euro per night in the twin room)
