This hotel offers exceptional service with a helpful and welcoming staff. Perfectly located with easy access to attractions and transportation. Guests can enjoy free 24/7 snacks and drinks, plus cup noodles in the lobby. Spacious and clean rooms provide great value for money. Bathrooms are equipped with all necessary amenities. The hotel is located at the heart of Taipei with reasonable facilities and accessibility. Although it's not located in the active Ximending Area, it's still in walking distance. Both NTU MRT Station and Ximen MRT Station are in walking distance from the hotel so I would say it's in a very good location. Great point and also different from any hotels is provision of complementory snacks and tea in the lobby area for 24/7 so that you don't need to worry about hungry stomach in the middle of the nigth :) Room is slightly small but it's convenient enough for a solo traveller. Cleaning is done alternate day due to environmentally conservative reason but complimentory water bottles have to be requested on your own for non-cleaning days. It is advised to put 2 complementory water bottles and tea bags in front of the door on non-cleaning days. Overall, it's a recommended hotel for solo travellers.

Pros: 1) Excellent location as it is within walking distance from 3 MRT stations - NTU station (5mins walk), Ximending station (10mins walk), Taipei Main station (20mins walk). Walking distance to the popular Ximending. The National Taiwan University & Hospital is within walking distance as well. 2) Water pressure in the shower is powerful with hot water 3) Room comes with shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash, disposable slippers, bottled drinking water, tea sachets. But there are no other toiletries provided (i.e., toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, etc). 4) There’s a self-service coin laundromat at B1 of hotel, which is convenient. 5) Staff is helpful & polite/ friendly. 6) Plenty of eateries, convenient stores & cafes around the area. 7) The hotel lobby & reception is at B1. The hotel provides free flow of tea sachets, soft drinks (from a dispenser), some Taiwanese titbit & cup noodles, FOR FREE! Very nice touch. ☺️ Cons: 1) The TV in my room kept having technical glitches & tripping. I had to reboot the TV multiple times when i wanted to watch the news. 2) Not enough hooks/ hangers in the room for clothes (only 2 hooks with 4 hangers). 3) No bidet in the toilet to wash your bottom after you are done. 4) Flushing system of toilet bowl is weak, so pls do not throw too many toilet papers into it at one go, lest it gets choked. 5) There’s no rack at all in the en-suite shower to put my own toiletries. The refillable bottled toiletries provided in the en-suite shower by the hotel are all mounted to the wall. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay, will book this hotel again when I revisit Taipei in future.

The hotel has an amazing location—just a short walk to Ximending and other local attractions. It’s super easy to find food nearby, with plenty of cafes, tea shops, and even a Starbucks close by. There are also lots of 24-hour convenience stores around, which is super convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One great bonus: the hotel offers free instant noodles and snacks at their restaurant area—perfect for those late-night cravings after exploring the city. Another plus: there’s a kids’ playroom, so if you’re traveling with a toddler like we did, they can play safely while you relax in the lounge. Overall, a great stay. The rooms are small but cozy and clean. If you’re traveling on a budget, I’d highly recommend this place!

The location of the hotel is not reflected on the local map in the metro station, and it is reflected wrongly on apple phone map. Had to use google map to navigate. You will only know you are at the hotel when you are AT the hotel. For convenience of everyone who are reading this, the hotel is opposite a DBS bank, in the same building as N hotel; some signages in the building wrote that this is the old address for Chaiin hotel. Once you managed to find the hotel, it will be easy to locate the hotel the next time round with all the landmarks around. It is in an old building, which is expected given that most buildings in the area are old. The interior looks otherwise quite modern, no musty smells. The staff generally looked unfriendly but will still answer whatever questions you have. The playground is small but at least there is a playground to entertain the kids. Breakfast spread is okay, limited and mainly western style with fries and baked beans. Coffee unfortunately, is horrendous. The room is quite spacious and clean. The bathtub looked a bit aged and yellowed but the water from the shower head is fine. It is the only hotel out of the 3 that I stayed during this trip that provided 4 bottles of water (we booked for 4 pax). Overall, although it is a slightly long walk from Taipei station, it was still quite an enjoyable stay. But maybe next time I will choose another hotel nearer to the station itself.

“Perfect Stay in the Heart of Taipei!”
Location: It was perfect! train stations are easily accessible, as well as bus station, and about 5 minutes' walk to Taipei Main Station. Ample number of convenience store are also nearby. Rooms (Facilities and Cleanliness): Rooms are well maintained, my room is clean and smells nice. There are also complementary snacks and water bottles. The room I booked is very much suitable for solo travelers or couples. There were no issues on the air-conditioning. Services (Staff): Hotel staff are easy to talk to, they are very accommodating and can converse comfortably in English. Their house keeping services is also great and they were able to lend me clothes iron to help me prepare my outfits for my trip. It is also worth mentioning that they are friendly and courteous. Overall, it was a great place to stay at and highly recommended!
