Very pleasant stay ”
During these scary times with Covid we couldn't have asked for a better hotel to have a quite and stress free vacation. Hotel staff were extra friendly and the food was superb. Hotel cleanliness was 100% and very quite which was what we were after. If you want a pleasant experience close to the centre don't hesitate about staying here. It wouldn't suite the young though more for persons who need solitude and a early night. Overall it was a 10/10 for our 4 night stay.

We have stayed in this hotel numerous times and will definitely be back.Ideally located on the edge of town within walking distance to all bundoran has to offer.rooms are lovely some with sea views,breakfast served to order with a good variety,lovely lounge with big armchairs to watch the sea crashing in.Gerry is a true gentleman

Perfect homely hotel”
This place is such a lovely warm friendly we spot right on the main street of bundoran it is close to the beach and all other attractions only a couple minutes walk,there is a onsite car park for guests,the staff are so friendly and helpful and so easy to approach,the rooms are so tidy and plenty of space in them.and lastly the breakfast was so nice i will definitely back the next time i am there such a amazing stay

Disappointing ”
Cold arrival upon arrival as the hotel appeared empty (early Saturday afternoon) Ringing the reception bell brought the attention of a staff member who, after a brief hello, requested full payment. I requested a Pre-Authorization of y card instead so that additional charges could be made to the room & paid upon checkout, confused, an older gent appeared to her aid who was no clearer as he to, requested payment in full upon arrival. Room was warm, clean with absolutely no amenities whatsoever, as tea/coffee maker was located on the ground floor beneath the stairs. On a plus side, room had a sea-view and breakfast was wonderful, definitely a popular place for dining as the small restaurant was busy. Summary, hotel decor is shabby and outdated, friendly staff, limited car parking, vast scope for improvement. As for the Casinos in Bundoran - save your money and enjoy the nightlife as many holiday makers complained how the machines were a rip off, to which I to can vouch for.

Hopefully our experience was the exception ........... Staff were very pleasant. Hotel is aging but quite well maintained. Don’t book a sea view, especially at the weekend. The lovely views are outweighed by the feral humans in the town. It seems that everybody smokes, and a lot of recreational substances are consumed in public. ‘People’ hanging around the street and the front of the hotel until 2:30, bellowing like donkeys in heat. The bed in our room was cramped. Very cramped. We ate at a fairly good restaurant nearby. But the hotel restaurant did look popular, with a more civilised clientele than we encountered in most of the other restaurants we looked in to nearby. Breakfast was OK; the staff serving were very good. If you really do have to be in Bundoran and don’t need to sleep, then avoid venturing outside and go ahead and stay at The Fitzgerald. Otherwise, keep on driving........

This hotel is 3star only in name rooms have lovely views of Atlantic Ocean, restaurant food lovely, and the best breakfast in Bundorm. A big mention about the owners and staff John , Marion and jerry could not do enough to make your visit a a enjoyable experience.

If you like staying in chain hotels which offer the same formulaic approach across the globe, this is not for you. Fitzgerald’s offers a truly personalised approach where nothing is too much trouble. The property has charm and character, coupled with excellent location and service. Would recommend it if you enjoy a peaceful, comfortable and relaxing experience. The views of the Atlantic Ocean are an additional bonus.

Lovely bedroom with great sea view - at check in we were shown to our rooms and helped with our bags- friendly helpful service. Breakfast cooked to order - nice breakfast room with sea view . Lovely seating areas at front of hotel also.

Lacking basic amenities found in any hotel these days. Could do with a freshning up. My room was nice with a great view but bare needing a few touch ups. Extras would be nice.
