This is a hotel that provides excellent service, specifically catering to Japanese guests. There are many Japanese TV channels available, and breakfast includes options such as miso soup and natto. You can rest assured that there are absolutely no mosquitoes or cockroaches, so you can stay comfortably. Although the presence of Japanese expats and businesspeople may be noticeable, the hotel staff is kind and friendly, making for an enjoyable stay.
Excellent staff, terrible rooms”
The staff are world class - very friendly, welcoming and extremely attentive. 10/10. Unfortunately the room was very disappointing. To start with it smelled old and looked tired - nothing at all like the photos. The shower does not close so the floor gets soaked when you use it. The tap above the sink sprays out horizontally, spraying the surface next to the sink. The light in the cupboard does not switch off so it’s impossible to make the room fully dark when you’re trying to sleep. Worst part was the aircon. Not only was it noisy and foul-smelling, but there was not even a temperature setting, just on or off! So you have to choose between too hot or too cold, meaning that to stay comfortable you have to turn it on and then off every 10 minutes. Not exactly conducive to a good night’s sleep. Even worse, the switchboard is wired up wrong so that every time you turn it on or off, the room light comes on! The WiFi was a joke, completely unuseable. Had to use 4G on my phone for meetings. Despite being up on the 14th floor, the room was still quite noisy from the street below. Well at least the housekeeping did a great job of keeping the room spotless. Thank you. Breakfast was acceptable, but could do with more healthy options including more bread than just those awful processed white slices. Then there’s the fitness center. I selected this hotel because it had a sauna but was then told on check-in that I have to pay an extra 400 baht to use it! That’s not very friendly and there was no mention of that at the time of booking. Fortunately the sauna, gym and pool were all delightful, clean, modern and everything you could ask for. But beware! There is a wall right in the middle of the pool just under the surface that is completely hidden with no markings or warnings. I was lucky that I only hurt my arms when I swam into it. It’s surely only a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured by this very stupid design. Location was great, very central and a short walk to the BTS. Ample parking but some signage would be helpful: after parking the car, we walked up and down and all around with our bags trying to find the way to the lobby. Eventually we walked back down the car ramp that we drove up. Overall it was OK for this price, a decent hotel with wonderful staff but the rooms really need an overhaul and the place needs a lot more attention to detail in general.
Strong wings and broken wifi”
There’s much to like about this hotel and a few things that can get under your nails. This is a very well managed hotel. Staff is sharp, friendly and they know what they are doing. The building imposes by its size and it has a “grand hotel” feel. The place must have had a buzzing past and it still has a vibrant present, to some extent, probably differently. The buses parked in front of the entry indicates that the hotel caters to groups and tour operators. It also hosts weddings and other events in their large ballrooms. My room was seemingly one of the older ones. Although well maintained, it didn’t have the shine of the recently refurbished floor holding the “Elegance” rooms. Mine was built on the American standard that was quite common in the past. The type with central commands and a telephone in the bathroom. It was a thing. Okay, the aircon rattled a bit, but it was efficient. Okay the fridge’s noise was annoying, so I unplugged it. Okay, some (I) don’t like showering in a bathtub, okay, windows could be cleaner, okay, the bed was hard for me and the pillows harder, okay, I could go on, but there’s no point really. This hotel remains good value for the price you will pay. What will make you NOT stay here, at least on the 14th floor, is the WiFi. First, the bandwidth in my room was around zero before a very kind person from the front desk came up to install a private WiFi router in my room. It solved the speed issues, but it kept disconnecting, throwing me back to the login screen with, you know, that “remember me” check box that never remembers you. I think I entered my password over fifty times in seven days. WiFi is a tricky technology especially in a 300-room hotel, but solutions exist and we can only wish this will be fixed in priority. I told the front desk that I would rant about it and they said I was right to do so, sign that they are on it. Overall, I had a great stay. My room was calm, spacious and I liked the wide open view very much.

We had 2 rooms and the beds were really hard. The super hot water was great though. As vegetarians, we had limited options for breakfast and when we purposely had the 'do not disturb' notification on, we still received a call apologizing for disturbing us, but asking if we wanted the room cleaned. The concierge, front desk help, and other staff members were very helpful. The workout room and pool were a nice convenience. The hotel was in a good location and the interior could be a little more updated.

Was impressed by its 5-star facilities, despite being a 4-star property. The amenities were top-notch, making for a comfortable stay. However, I felt the front office staff could have been more warm and welcoming. Thankfully, the checkout team made up for it with their friendly and efficient service. Minor quibble aside, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
