“Luxury at affordable price”
We stayed at Fusion Resort and Villas for 11 nights in August booked through Agoda including flights. The hotel was exceptional, with stunning rooms and the addition of daily spa treatments included as well as breakfast for $AUD 4087.56. We paid for a Fast Pass on our Air Asia flight increasing our carry on luggage limit to 14 kgs each, an increase from the standard 7 kgs. Pros: Excellent hotel facilities, staff and breakfast, amazing bed which was so comfortable and stunning views. Easy walk to the Marble Mountain’s from the hotel. Cons: Air Asia was awful, no food, no water, all required extra $ and seated separately until we changed seats. Air Asia seem to separate couples on the flight to try to get you to pay extra for a seat change, even when the flights weren’t full. We fell for it initially but learnt to check seat availability on check in. The hotel restaurants (3 of them) were extremely expensive and the food did not warrant the expense. It was cheaper to get a Grab from the hotel to Da Nang for an evening sat at beach bars and local restaurants. The hotel is located 20 mins from any restaurants and cost us roughly VND 128 ($AUD 7.00) each way for a trip to town. The hotel spa was beautiful but some of the treatments could have been better. e.g the aromatherapy massage did not use any aromatherapy oils, just coconut oil. However, as they were free this was to be expected I guess. Overall this was an amazing holiday but would look at different airline to reduce the risk of delays, and extra expenses. We loved Fusion though despite the distance from town. Highly recommended
