“Exceptional”
I went to Thailand just to attend my favorite event, so I stayed at this place near Makkasan Station of the ARL. I will write in detail as a note for myself. Access: After entering the Petchaburi MRT station (underground), go up the escalator at exit 3 and exit outside → turn right, pass under the eaves of the shops, and immediately turn right again to find the hotel entrance on your left. *You can also access from the left after leaving the station, but if it’s raining, I recommend the right side since you can go under the eaves. *It’s a staircase from Makkasan Station, so I wouldn’t recommend it for those with carry-on luggage. Staff: There were many friendly staff members, and even if my English wasn’t great, they were easy to understand. When my key card stopped working, they responded quickly. However, I had reserved a double bed, but they told me it was changed to a twin due to hotel circumstances. Security: There was sometimes a doorman at the hotel entrance. The elevator requires you to touch the card key before operating it. Room: When you insert the card key, the lights and air conditioning turn on. I appreciated that the bed was not right under the air conditioning. Amenities included slippers, toothbrushes, solid soap, body lotion, shower caps, etc. There was no liquid soap for washing hands, but there was shampoo and body soap in the shower room. The shower water pressure was fine, and the temperature could be adjusted properly. The water pressure for the shower and faucet sometimes weakened, but it wasn’t a concern while using. The airflow of the hairdryer was decent. There were two bath towels and two face towels available. I wanted to hang up my dress, so it was nice to have several wooden hangers and ample storage space for long garments. I received two bottles of water every day. Although it was a twin room, there was an outlet right next to either bed, so no extension cord was needed. Overall, it was clean, and there were no insects (although this may be partly because my eyesight is poor and I wasn't looking that carefully...). The air conditioning was reasonably loud when turned on, which might be tough for those who are sensitive to noise. I managed to sleep, but since the air conditioning was very effective, I was able to cool down the room before turning it off to sleep comfortably. My room was near the elevator on the third floor, but I wasn’t bothered by the noise from other guests. The hotel is located just one street away from a busy road, so I didn’t mind the noise from motorcycles either. I could hear the sound of the national railway’s whistle, although it wasn’t at night… Convenience Store: Exiting the hotel and turning right, then turning right again, there is a large 7-Eleven within 5 minutes walk. It was clean, and there were high-end condos and a large Christian church nearby, with good safety for the shops and surroundings even at night. Checkout: It was quick to finish by just returning the card key without any room check, which was appreciated. I thought the service was very satisfying for this price range, so I would like to stay again if the opportunity arises.
