I was amazed by the resort as soon as I arrived. It is located in the north of the island and far from the main commercial area. I wanted to have a quiet relaxing time so the location was perfect for me. The free pick up at the airpot (offered for min 4 nights stay) was very much appreciated as it was my first visit to the island. I stayed at a beachfront room, which is literally seconds away from the beach. The beach is not large/wide or long because it is separated by rocks from the next door resort but instead it is completely private to the resort guests. The beach and the garden are maintained clean and tidy at all times. The scenery is idealic with crystal clear sea and white sand. There are many small fish to enjoy a little snorkeling. The room was much better than the photos with tall ceiling. I also appreciated Youtube, Netflix and Amazon Prime on TV. The food was great too at the restaurant quality and the price. For breakfast you get to choose from a selection of both Western and Vietnamese menu along with a variety of fruit juice and coffee/tea. I loved the watermelon juice! I stayed in the resort only so had lunch and dinner at the resort too. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, particularly Vietnamese. The staffs are all polite and nice and made the entire stay even more pleasant. The only thing is the sound/noise from other resorts. Some hammering construction noise came from the resort next door and karaoke and loud music from somewhere afar spoiled the ambience of the beach. All in all, I had a wonderful and relaxing time and would love to come back to this resort again!

Pros: -Room was large and spacious -Bed was quite comfortable with a mosquito net around it if you wanted. -minifridge, desk with chair, small table, free bottle of water provided -bathtub and sink with space around it. -hairdryer in the bathroom -enclosed shower with glass with hot water. -relaxed atmosphere of the place because of its isolation in the north and also the coconut trees around and the sandy grounds near the beach and the swing from the tree. -the food at the restaurant is the best. hands down amazing and decently priced for a resort. tastes so good that we ate here for both the nights we stayed. Probably one of the best parts of this resort...honestly I'd stay here just for the food! I missed it when we moved accommodation locations in the south. Even the breakfast while it is not buffet, they give you multiple choices that are filling. -staff are very nice and friendly. -close to Ganh Dau town which has a market and also close to GrandWorld. -good wifi speeds at 37.5mbps download and 47.3 mpbs upload when mobile speed tested. Cons: -the shower in our room didn't have a lot of pressure. Once we alerted the staff the next day they fixed it. -swimming pool at the resort looked a little run down, a bit yellow in the corners, didn't look super clean. -beach not bad, not the best on the island but also not the worst, acceptable. it's private though. -far from airport around 1 hour drive but it can be a pro if you are looking for that relaxed vibe with not so many people. -aircon doesn't get very cold but acceptable after a while. If you like it very cold you may have an issue. -while the food was amazing, the speed at which the food comes to you is quite slow, it might take 40 mins or an hour to come to you if there's a lot of people at the restaurant. Get there by 6pm and order if you want to eat by 7pm. It's worth the wait though.
Great and relaxing beach holidays”
We have been visiting Gold Coast Resort for 5 nights over New Year 2023/24 and both the adults and the children absolutely loved it. We had a room directly at the beach and so we spent all of our time there within maybe a 50 meter radius :-) The resort had a nice New Years dinner which you could optionally book (including small fireworks). Apart from that we just relaxed and the children played on the beach from morning till sunset. The water was very warm and the air temperature quite hot. The only problem that we had was using enough sunscreen :-) The staff was helpful and friendly, the room was clean, the breakfast good and overall we had a very nice holiday. We intentionally chose a smaller resort on the island and would book Gold Coast Resort again should we ever come to Phu Quoc again!
Secluded beautiful place to relax without crowds ”
Son was very helpful and nice. All restaurant staff are nice too. If you like a more secluded place, this is for you. Beach is nice has fish and corals. We did catch and release fishing and was fun. You might be surprised of the trash washing off there but it’s not in their control…it’s being washed from other places. They have someone cleaning the beach each morning. You can see Cambodian from this island. We booked beach front which is recommended. Overall pleasant experience. I would come again if I get the chance.
Fabulous, secluded charming seaside resort”
Couldn't have been happier on our weekend away from Ho Chi Minh City. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and big wooden lounges on the porch looking out at the sea. The restaurant is tops; excellent food, from the included breakfast to the cobia and veg red curry for dinner, which we ate from the gazebo just meters from the water. Staff is cheeful and helpful and the sea is flat and mostly clear on this side of the island. The swimming is great. Take a right along the coast past a few small accommodations and swim along the undeveloped national park; about 2km down there is a patch of starfish among the coral and sandy bottom. The vibrant and peaceful Nguyen Trung Truc temple is just a 15 minute ride on bicycles provided by the hotel. We highly recommend Gold Coast. Only hitch was my first emails about an airport transit didn't get answered for a day or two until I telephoned, but the staff was excellent The rid each way costs about 400,000 dong and takes an hour.
