The resort is just beautiful with very well maintained gardens and pool........ The rooms are quite large with a bed so huge... Service was excellent from housekeeping, maintainence, and Tom and Young lady at the front desk. A special treat is the resort cats and dogs, which bring a very homily feel to the resort. I recommend this resort as a place to stay due to the above, and the pricing is reasonable.................... My special hints: hire a bike from across the road as cheaper......... Make sure you order breakfast the night before as the ingredients are bought that morning. If you forget, there is a restro across the road, and geckos at the beach, which is only 200 meters... Book white lotus spa. They pick you up and drop off for free............... Special special hint................. If you are travelling solo or honeymoon, ask reception to check incoming bookings, and to give you a room away from family rooms or bookings with children..... Children are wonderful, though when solo or honeymoon they are just a plain disturbance, especially with that hugh pitch scream thing they do.......... I had a great stay..... you will too. I rarely post online, but this service is great👍❤, the environment is great👍, and the price is very reasonable👍. If you want a perfect vacation, this is the place to be. It's peaceful here, and there's a great restaurant across the street. There are more snack shops in the city, which can be a bit noisy, but this place is still convenient. We stayed at the Golden Topaz Resort, which has excellent massage services. The reason is that my mother is older and has had a broken leg for several years. Even after recovery, her feet are still swollen and painful. After the massage therapist relieved her pain, my mother's feet were much less swollen, and her mobility was better than before. The comfort level is unimaginable. We made appointments every day (full body massage, head massage, and facial massage), and each person received about 12 hours of massage services. It feels great, and my back pain is gone. The place is very clean, and the floor is cool and not sticky. The environment is great, and most importantly, all the staff are full of sunshine, smiles, and politeness. The price is reasonable, and one of the massage therapists even spoke our native language, Cantonese👍. If you come here for a vacation, you will forget all your troubles. If you don't stay at this hotel, you can still get a massage after passing through the beautiful beach. They are very welcoming to guests. My mother is already planning to come back again.

Top tips: 1. Hire a motorbike from across the road, for 100K vs 130K VND. When we hired from the hotel the lady just ran across the road to inform them anyway. Likewise with laundry, 15K/kg across the road vs 40K/kg at the hotel. By the way the motorbike was old and rusty, the odometer was turned off and the ignition was faulty - you would think the hotel staff would help to inspect the bike or pick a newer bike 2. You have to pre order breakfast at 100K VND each if your room rate doesn't include it. I understand pre-ordering if you pick the non-omelette or non-sandwich dishes but it's strange to have to pre order eggs and toast given they use those ingredients in their lunch menu. If you decide to have breakfast out, you can get coffee for 20K and bun rieu aka crab noodles for 30K. The fruits from the roadside vendors are also reasonable. 3. Buy bottled water from K+ mart (if you rent a bike) or the mini mart next to ong lam beach. It's cheaper than at the hotel 4. There is a free public bus to the main town / airport (free up till the end of 2023). I think the bus runs from 5am to midnight (bus 17). Pros: 1. Generally clean, large room in a less noisy part of town. There were some small bloodstains (2mm diameter) on the side of the bedsheets though (luckily not on the part that touches your body). 2. Ong lam beach is relatively peaceful Cons 1. There is a lot of burning going on near the main road and you can often smell it from the room. 2. They seem to fleece you left right and center. First the motorbike and laundry rates, then when we accidentally broke a mug they wanted 100K VND for that, which is double what a hotel in HCMC lists on their inventory list. (FWIW it's also more than what a Malaysian hotel charges). We declined housekeeping but tipped 100K VND anyway, but regret it due to the fleecing at checkout 3. The place is quiet and the room is big and comfortable. I really liked the view to the pool and the little kittens that live there. The girl and the reception that works in the morning was not very friendly and welcoming. When we arrived there for the first time she did not even say Hi to us. Neither did she greet us any other days thay we stayed in the hotel. The boy who works at night was the complete opposite though. He was very welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. He always welcomed us with a smile and explained to us, gave us recommendations where we could go and what better to do during our stay to not waste our time. So I think the hotel owner has to train the receptionist girl to be more professional in her work. We all know people have bad days but do not bring that to work. Customers should not feel unwelcomed, especially if they paid for the room and service. We don’t demand too much. Just at least say Hello when we approach the reception desk. The beach (good one, where you can actually swim and lay on) is a bit too far from the hotel. Even though on the map it looks close but in reality you have to take a long walk towards the sea under the burning hot sun. And then when you finally get to the sea you have to walk more to get to the other part of the beach (which is not full of stones). Also there is another hotel that is located right next to that beach and when you get there you feel kind of awkward as if you stepped into someone else’s territory. No sunbeds to use, not sure if the hotel rents them or not. You have to use your own stuff. Not a very good experience. Overall, if you like staying at the hotel and enjoy the calmness and peace during your stay I would highly recommend this hotel. However, if you prefer lying on the beach then it’s better to choose another hotel that is closer to the beach itself.

Close to the most beautiful beach on the island. Very good and clean swimming pool open till 10 pm. Friendly stuff. The bathroom are connected with the bathrooms upstairs with some kind on roof window and when someone is using bathroom upstairs then can be loud. Very big breakfast from menu. Very good internet connection.
