A great choice for staying in Ao Nang”

We really enjoyed our stay at Green View Village, and would gladly stay here again. Before booking, we found most hotels on the beach in Ao Nang were VERY expensive, out of our price range. But as we were mostly planning on doing day trips to places like Railay Beach and the Hong Islands, we didn't really plan on hanging out on the beach in Ao Nang anyway. So we chose beautiful mountain/garden scenery instead of beach scenery, and this hotel really was beautiful! The pool area was gorgeous, surrounded by lush vegetation and with a stunning view of the limestone cliffs! We each stayed in our own individual 'huts' (very nice, not rustic), which added atmosphere, and the dining area was over a pond surrounded by vegetation again. (Just bring mosquito repellent!) So the resort itself was lovely, and small and homey feeling. The resort is about 2 miles from the beach, down a slight slope. You can walk it, would just take maybe 30 minutes, but the hotel also provided a free transport on the hour, which took 5 minutes. If you wanted a ride back from the beach to the hotel, you just had to tell the hotel desk (and driver) in advance, and set a time. We did this and it worked smoothly. We also booked a pick-up from the Krabi airport to the hotel, which was worth the price for our group of 6 (just getting a taxi from the airport would have actually been more expensive). I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The Green View Village Resort really sticks up to his name. All bungalows and rooms are surrounded by palm trees, exotic flowers and orchids and are large and comfortable. Of course we have not seen all the Hotels and Resorts in Ao Nang and our evaluation is therefore only subjective, but from all of which we have seen, the Green View Village certainly is the most beautiful. We definitely would recommend the Green View Village Resort to all our friends and of course also stay here again.

Fabulous place to stay! ”

We enjoyed staying at Green View Village Resort. Everything was amazing - extremely nice and clean pools, surrounding and nature is great, rooms clean and beds comfy. The stuff are really nice and friendly, so they helped us to book tours, and we got some discount for booking through them. Location could be better, but it's not a problem at all since you have free ride from 8am-8pm to Ao Nang beach. Vehicle will go no matter if they pick someone or not, so you can get back from the beach also. Buffet breakfast was extremely good, we enjoyed. The resort is better than on the pictures, believe me. You will be amazed by this place.

Great Renovation!”

We stayed here nearly 3 yrs ago and it was a quaint little resort, quite the mom and pop facility. It had abbreviated front desk service and only a few rooms to stay in (fewer with A/C), but it was wonderful because it was so close to Ao Nang beach. We decided to repeat the trip as well as lodging this fall, and boy was it worth it! They have added so many new rooms and a brand new (2nd) pool. The lobby / dining hall have been renovated as well and everything is first class! This is now a fantastic resort (complete with a zillion live plants), but they still retain their low-key management style. This stay was a wonderful treat; we were happy to stay in each day. I recommend the massage parlor right across the street for a relaxing foot rub; I also recommend renting a scooter (they're trustworthy & the front desk can arrange) to explore Ao Nang as well as the Tiger Temple Cave. If you want to stay near Ao Nang, do yourself a favor and stay at Green View :)

We booked our stay here based on other traveler reviews. We are so glad we did! This was among the best lodgings on our trip, and also one of the least expensive! This is a hidden gem and we will definitely stay here again. We were pleased with the room, which looked exactly like the pictures. Our bungalow was clean, modern, and lovely inside. Comfortable bed, security safe, good aircon, and coffee/tea for the room. Absolutely no complaints about the room. The grounds are green, lush, tranquil. I spent time just walking around the resort, taking pictures. The pool was clean, attractive. The entire resort was well looked after. The staff was efficient and helpful. Service was efficient. Laundry was done quickly and well. They helped us rent a motorbike, which was brought directly to the resort. The arranged a shuttle to the airport. When we checked in, we also booked an additional day at the last minute. We had to move to another room on the last day because ours was already reserved. But the staff did a wonderful job, moving everything for us. They also offer a breakfast buffet in their open-air dining area. It was attractive and the food looked good, but we did not eat there so cannot say anything about the quality. I believe it was traditional western-style breakfast. The downside: It is not near the beach. The resort does offer a shuttle every couple hours down to the beach, but you have to find your own transport back, or walk (which is what we did). However, this is minor, and I enjoyed walking through the town, seeing the sights and the shops. overall, however, this is a little hidden treasure and was one of the high points of our stay in Ao Nang. We have already recommended it to friends traveling to Thailand.

A lovely quiet spot close to town”

This resort is just off the main street of Ao Nang. They run a shuttle to the beach and transportation is easy. We rented a motorbike and it was a great way to get around. The staff had it brought as soon as we asked for it so we wasted no time. We rented a bungalow with a fan as we are budget travelers. The room was spartan and dark but adequate. The bed was typical Asian hard mattress. The bungalows around the pool looked very nice for a higher price. The breakfast that is included was very good - lots of choice. We ate dinner a few nights and found the food reasonable and tasty. The staff was helpful booking tours and answering questions. I think the price was fair and we avoided any hassles. One company forgot to pick us up. The front desk phoned for us then had us driven to the tour departure - nice service. We were also looking for a dentist. at the modern Ao Nang Smile Dental Clinic about 15 min. by motorbike on the outskirts of Krabi gave good service. An exam, x-ray, and small filing for 1500 Baht. I would have had more work done but she was booked. dental surgeon, does root canals, and has a Masters in Prosthetics Dentistry. If you are staying for a couple of weeks and want to save on dental work then I recommend her practice.

It was fantastic! and now it has been change a lot in a positive way that it is even better than 2 years ago....WOW! Thank you soooo much for everthing Green View Village Resort - Team!!! I am a 55+ solo female traveller and hadn't been to Ao Nang for 30 years. I was pleasantly surprised with Green VIew Village's garden setting, pool areas and the room I had. I was upgraded on arrival to a 'comfort' room with air conditioning - very spacious and quiet. The front counter staff were very friendly and were able to help me with all my transfer/travel arrangements. Green View is an easy 20 minute walk to the beach area (if you are a good walker) but the shuttle service is very reliable. Breakfast was fine - fresh fruit, eggs to order, coffee, tea and really good little pancakes. also a great little restaurant just across the road - end of driveway and turn left.

Worth Every Penny”

It was such a pleasant stay in this hotel. The staff were very helpful in terms of handling my tour packages. It worth every penny. It was nearby to restaurants, shops, scooter rental, mosque(for muslims), shuttle van to the beach every hour. You can get tour packages at the hotel, and can deal with them, however it can be a bit pricey. It will take 10 minutes to the Ao Nang beach. If i were to come back in Krabi, i will definitely choose this hotel. Nice staff, environment and I am very satisfied i chose this hotel for my 4 nights in Krabi.

Beautiful bungalows but very far from the beach”

green view village resort is one of the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in thailand. hotel has awesome pool and garden. bungalows are very nice and clean, but very far from the beach and city center. hotel has free shuttle bus but no regular and that is why we must go from the beach or city by foot. it is very far - about 30 minutes. staff is kind and the breakfast is very good.

Couldn't of asked for more”

I stayed here for 4 days whilst visiting Ao Nang, Krabi. I couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. I arrived earlier than check in but the staff told me my room was ready. I was told about the free shuttle down to the beach every hour, (however the beach is only a 10 minute walk) and that there was a breakfast buffet for 150baht extra each morning. I was shown down to my own bungalow (a minutes walk from reception) and the room was spacious and very clean. Each day the room was cleaned/made up and 2 complimentary bottles of water were left. The staff were very friendly and the pool was lovely, again clean looking out onto the beautiful cliffs. I would definitely stay here again, for the price you pay, it's worth it.

Great with very friendly English speaking staff”

My wife and I stayed here while we were in Phuket and it was one of our favorite places in Thailand. The location is a little bit off the beaten path but close enough for a nice safe 10 min walk into town (they also have a shuttle into town every hour). We had experienced some of the other fan-only rooms in other parts of Thailand and we're very disappointed with them. The Green View Village restored our confidence in Thai hospitality and quality. The energy of the place is just so calm and relaxing. We loved it here and we didn't want to leave. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy your holiday.

Green View resort is true to its name!”

We liked this hotel a lot, we extended our stay from 3 nights to 6. Nice pools, and gardens around hotel are beautiful. Just loved the greenery and views. Breakfast was nice. Rooms ok, we actually likes 2nd roome we got better, it was a "budget" room located in the building and was more modern / newer, but also simpler and smaller. Hotel is located 25 mins walk from Ao Nang beach but they offer free shuttle t beach every hour, so that was pretty convenient. Plenty of restaurants around, we were happy with the location.

Lovely reaoet”

Resort style property with typical hotel style rooms and bungalows of varying luxury. Property has two wonderful pools, a large lap style pool and a large pool with views of nature. Property is slightly out of town but we found it a welcome respite after the hustle and bustle If Ao Nang. Hourly shuttle makes getting into town a breeze.

Green, calm and private”

Check in for room with access to pool for our honeymoon. The room is nice, comfortable and spacious. The best part of the room is we could go swimming anytime we would and the pool is quite deep. Very suitable for honeymoon, except that our upper room is quite noisy with family and kids running around. Other than that green view village hotel is nice and not crowded compared to hotel nearby the roadside. Lots of halal food nearby the hotel and mosque.

Spacious, air-conditioned, clean rooms with hot water in the shower. Varied open buffet for breakfast. Two clean swimming pools with deck chairs, beach umbrellas and a beautiful view! Also, stunning garden between bungalows, with palm trees and other plants (deserves the name green view!) Friendly cats wandering around in the garden. Ao nang beach is around 20 min walk but there is also a bus service at the hotel for free every hour to drop off and pick up. Slight downsides: the staff does not speak good english so complicated to communicate. The breakfast is good but the restaurant not so much. However, there are really tasty restaurants at less than 10 mins walk (notably jungle kitchen).

Very satisfied ”

We booked a bungalow for two nights. We were welcomed very nice. People on reception were very helpful and kind. Every full hour there is free shuttle to the Ao Nang beach and they pick you up any time when needed also for free. To walk it is around 15 min. Our bungalow was nice and clean,but instead of air condition we just had 2 ventilators but it was still good for slepping and was not hot in the night. Over the bed there were mosquito nets which one was little bit broken and on one side they were open (they had an entry). We didn't prefer this ones so we put our own one. Breakfast was good but not much to choose. For 2 nights was more than enough. Overall,for its price we would really recommend this resort.

Just beautiful, far exceeded our expectations ”

This resort is breathtaking. The pictures do not do it justice. Mountain views, lush greenery, two large pools and a huge glass roofed restaurant. The whole aesthetic of this resort is just beautiful. We had originally booked the cheapest room which was really nice and spacious however we upgraded due to no air con and loud renovation in neighbouring rooms. The staff very kindly upgraded us at a discounted rate to a comfort double room. This room was just amazing - really spacious, massive mirror, concrete walls, large comfy bed and a big balcony with a mountain view. The breakfast included was a large selection of hot and cold foods and they accommodated our vegan dietary needs with no fuss. The location is great - 3 min walk to the main road with shops and restaurants, 15/20 min to the beach. The resort was also very quiet and peaceful during our stay as it was down season. We ended up extending our stay and spending all our time at the resort as it was so lovely. We would 100% recommend and would love to return. This resort exceeded our expectations by miles and far outshines every hotel we have stayed at (even some much more expensive ones).

Value for money!”

Set in a peaceful garden with greenery everywhere! 2 lovely pools to choose from. Easy access to Ao Nang with transport to and from the beach on the hour. Spacious room cleaned daily. Some of the staff seem unhappy there. Nice breakfast daily but the only thing that changed every day was the Asian breakfast. Otherwise the same thing every day and it was always cold. Not sure why it could not have been kept warm? Excellent coffee. We stayed there for 6 nights. Away from the buzz of Ao Nang. We enjoyed our stay there.
