There are many hotels in Guam, but apart from the luxury hotels facing the sea in the Tumon area, most are older concrete hotels. This is the norm. You must understand the cultural background where strong sea breezes and large insects being common are just accepted. (You might want to take a hint from the cars rusting on the roads.) This hotel is located on a main street close to the airport. There are K-Mart and Don Quijote nearby, but both feel a bit far to walk to. However, if you rent a car, you would have absolutely no inconvenience. Regarding the rooms, they are typical of overseas hotels. Here are the pros and cons. Pros: - Inexpensive - Equipped with a kitchen. The tools are basically complete and functional, even with an oven. - The refrigerator is large, about the standard size for a family of three, and it has a freezer. - (Personal opinion) The bed is somewhat firm and very comfortable to sleep on. - The reception is friendly and easy to talk to. Cons: - The kitchen utensils are slightly lacking. The knife is dull, there is no cutting board, and the frying pan is burnt. - There was nothing in the electric kettle. What’s that about? - The shower in the bath is weak. It's about as strong as a watering can for flowerbeds. It's not that it can't wash you, but... - Upon entering the room, a friendly cockroach welcomed me. For those who can't accept the downsides, these might all be quite unpleasant. However, I didn't mind too much. As I mentioned at the beginning, if you want to receive the treatment of a typical hotel in Japan, you need to stay in a luxury hotel in Guam. Considering this, getting a comfortable space with this level of amenities for this price is a bargain. In fact, I think it's wonderful. I stayed for multiple nights, and on the first day, I noticed there was no dish soap or sponge, so I left it by the sink and went out. When I returned the next day after buying soap, it was nicely cleaned during bed cleaning. It might be obvious, but I felt the hospitality here was certainly more than what I would expect from the "Guam standard," including such thoughtful attention. I didn't see any insects except for the welcome one on the first day for the entire four days. In conclusion, I think it is a great deal and comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it to those looking for a perfect and clean hotel.
