Haadyao Bayview Resort & Spa”

We stayed at the Haadyao Bayview Resort & Spa for 5 days in September 2010. Overall it was a great place to unwind, right next to the lovely bay. The beach was ok, but there are better places on Koh Phangan (like the Haad Salad beach further north). Our room were very nice and clean, with cleaning of the room everyday. The only downside was the food. The breakfast was above average, and my eggs and baked beans were cold the first day. There is also not much other places to eat around, as the bay is pretty secluded. However a perfect place to just relax, and enjoy the beautiful pool they have, facing the water. It would be a perfect place, if they improve their food and reduced the staff and trained it properly.

Staff were so helpful”

I went to stay at Haadyao Bayview Resort & Spa for the Full Moon Party. I only stayed overnight but I could imagine it would be a great location if you wanted to get away from it all. The hotel is built on quiet a slope and the paths up to some of the rooms are quite steep. If you are elderly or less able to move around easily it would definitely be worth your while booking a room that is on one of the lower levels. The staff are fantastic. They speak really good english and go out of their way to help you. One older lady who I think is the head organisational manager really helped me out in getting my flight in time from Koh Samui. She arranged a taxi that rushed me to the Haad Rim ferry. I'd like to thank her in particular but also all the staff their for making my stay a most enjoyable one.

Very pleasant stay in Phangan”

The Haadyao Bayview resort remains one of my most preferred hotels on Phangan. The view from the room overlooking the lovely haad yao beach is just stunning! Really hard to beat.. We had a superior sea view room. Taking the room price into account, breakfast is adequate and there's enough choice. The restaurant service and food is very good with reasonable prices. I can recommend this hotel, I have nothing to complaign.

Beautiful beach front resort with excellent staff!”

We enjoyed our stay at Haadyao Bayview Resort so much, that our 2 night booking turned out to be a 6 night stay. The resort is a short drive from Koh Ma which offer word class snorkelling sites. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There is a reasonably priced shop next to the resort, so if you don’t feel like driving it’s not necessary. Haadyao Bayview Resort is right at the end of the Haadyao strip of beach, with nice bars and restaurants a short walk away. I would highly recommend this resort!

beautiful hotel on the beach”

haadyao bayview resort & spa was a really nice place to spend a few days or a week. we enjoyed massages on the beach at the hotel, there are others along the water front, but theirs had a great view and was very convenient. it's in a good position to watch the goings on in the bay while you enjoy the local thai food and a glass of wine. the water is crystal clear in the bay, but if you wish to play it safe, there's a beautiful pool for all ages overlooking haadyao bay. modern clean facilities make it a very pleasant stay and at a reasonable price too. a big thanks to all the friendly staff who made it a pleasure to be there.

Beautiful location on Koh Phangan's best beach”

I stayed for 3 nights at the Haad Yao Bayview Resort and loved it. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, amazing views of the beach, air conditioning and hot water. Breakfast is fine, nothing too amazing and the queue's require quite some patience. Service is with a friendly smile, but evening meals take some time and a couple of times the food arrived cold. The staff are really lovely. Wifi is terrible though, each day I had to go online, I had to use a nearby internet cafe. There are several wifi spots at the hotel but seemingly none of them work. The hotel has a good selection of wines which is quite rare on Koh Phangan and prices are pretty good really. Depending on when you book, rooms vary from 900 baht to 2500 - if you are coming around full moon time, the hotel is very busy and they charge the higher rate. Still, by international standards this is quite reasonable. I would stay again. The 'spa' is just a wooden platform with mattresses on - decent for thai massage, but by no means a spa.

Really friendly staff, clean and luxourious room, amazing beach next door ”

Really nice staff that are funny and helpful, the restaurant serves delicious food at a reasonable price and there’s a supermarket/7/11 nearby which is convenient! However the location isn’t the best (especially if you want to go to the full moon) as you’ll have to pay a bit more for transportation- but this place is so much more luxurious than anywhere else on the island and the beach next door is beautiful! So it’s worth a visit, a little on the expensive side but you pay a lot more nearer to Haad rin for something that isn’t half as nice! I would check it out if you’re visiting Koh Phangan:-) rooms are clean and quiet so this place is great for a good nights sleep

Great stay here ”

Our group was full of young travelers coming to Koh Phangan for the Full Moon Party and we were very impressed with this hotel. It is definitely more for families with young kids, but it worked well for us. We loved the restaurant seating on the beach and next to the pool. The restaurant had great food and a happy hour and BBQ every night for very cheap, considering we were at a resort. You can also rent scooters right there on the property which were very convenient for exploring the rest of the island, but we would have also had no problem staying at the resort. When the party came along, they had taxis going back and forth to Haad Rin to take you whenever you need to go back. They even sell shirts in the store there. The only complaints we have are that the WiFi was pretty terrible and it would be more efficient to have more waiters and waitresses working. The rest overlooked those minor things though. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Great experience ”

Before I came here, I have read a lot of bad reviews about this hotel especially the staffs. However, I was suprised that none of these happened to be true except the aunty at the reception can be very rude sometimes to the customers. The staffs are mostly from Myanmar not Thailand and eventhough they did not speak english so well, they provided excellent services. I had 25kg luggage that I was supposed to carry to the 3rd floor, but one of the guys offered to carry it on his shoulder. Very impressed by this I noticed they must have been used to carry heavy bags most of the time. Not just that, I booked a taxi with the hotel after checking out to go to Haad Rin area for the full moon party. The taxi driver was one of the staffs as well. Initially, there is a taxi station in Haad Rin where he was meant to drop us off but I politely asked him to find us the hotel and he gladly did it. I think the previous reviews might have help the staffs to improve their performances and I also think this hotel is a bit underrated. Amazing food, very nicely decorated restaurant, clean room, perfect location for a nice romantic getaway. I had an amazing candle light dinner by the beach.

Haadyao beach”

We enjoyed our stay at Haadyao Bayview Resort and Spa! The location right on Haadyao beach (even though the "hotel beac"h was not the best, a built strip of beach with gravel) was really good. We stayed in one of the separate bungalows/villas and were very satisfied. The hotel is located on a slope which means that it is not so easy to get around if you have physical constraints - if so choose a room closer to sea level.

Tranquil resort with great service from staffs”

I have stayed here for 3 nights and it was really impress .. especially service mind from staffs are very hospitality and warm like stay home!! nice swimming pool and massage service at the sea front ,, not so much of choice in Breakfast but enough for having it .. if you want to get in town ,, only baht/person to Thong Sala or another place in Koh Phangan ,, price depends on the distance but reasonable .. free wifi around the resort almost everywhere ...

Great hotel - lovely view, the food disappointing ”

We have stayed here before but only for 1 night while passing through, this time we stayed for 3 nights and found the only disappointment was the food. I didn't like the standard of the food at breakfast or dinner, the general quality was not there but there is lots of choice on the beach. There is free wifi in the room and reception but the speed in the rooms isn't super fast, but o.k in the reception area. Nive pool and lovely beach front location, Haadyao is one of the most perfect beaches on Koh Phangan.

Nice stay at northern end of Haadyao”

Stayed here for a couple nights to check out Koh Phangan. The island was bigger than expected and this resort was quite a ways from the ferry pier. They provide a shuttle, but it costs 120-150bht/person to or from the pier. There is wifi throughout the hotel, and they will provide you a username and password, but while I was there only the wifi router in the lobby actually worked. The restaurant is good value. I stayed in the cheapest room on a sale, and the room was in great shape. It just didn't have -any- ventilation outside of opening the one window which I don't recall having mosquito mesh. The more expensive bungalows looked nice.

Wonderful resort, great location”

We travelled 3weeks in Thailand, we spent 6 days in Koh Phangan in the resort and we had the nicest experience in Thailand. Even the standard room was very comfortable and very clean. Great location, beautiful beach, good restaurant with a bbq on the beach every evening and extremly friendly and competent staff!!!! I highly recommend the resort, we would come back again!! :)

First Holiday Ever ”

I'm 24 years old female and have stayed a few places in Koh Phangan now and I wanted to stay a few nights here to treat myself to a resort feel. I really enjoyed my stay, the house-keeping and amenities was kept to a high standard and the food and beverage is priced fairly. I definitely recommend! I stayed in a Deluxe Sea View w/ A/C. ***** 5 stars! :)

Excellent staff attentive”

Excellent value for money for a 3 star hotel. We highly recommend this hotel if you stay in Haad Yao. Many massage & beauty places on the beach, HAPPY MASSAGE had lovely staff & were very friendly. Next door was BAMBOO TATTOO where My Husband & I had our first tattoos done. NONG is an amazing artist check him out.Follow the road to the left of the hotel is a little restaurant called TAPPAS they have great food & coffee there if you want something different. There are a couple of little supermarkets there as well, All of these places are litraly 1min from your room. Haad Yao had everything we wanted & more. I'ts secluded which is what we were looking for. Loved it! Stunning!

Amazing location on a quiet beach”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are very big and modern and the views are spectacular. Haad Yao beach is very nice and was very quiet when we went (Christmas time). The breakfast was quite nice (buffet) and had some small changes every day so you don't get too bored of it. We had to pay for the xmas dinner which was very expensive. The food was nice but some of it cold (which makes sense because a lot of it was out more than an hour before the buffet was opened). The cake said Happy New Year 2012 which was hilarious (as it was xmas 2010??) Be careful because the staff seem to charge us what they felt like thinking we would not find out. A waiter tried to charge us double for our soft drink. When we ordered from someone else later we realised the con and confronted the waiter. He apologized and gave us some money back but it was not very nice considering it was Christmas!!!! We should have made a bigger deal about it but it was Christmas and we didn't want it to ruin our evening. There is a building site just besides the hotel but to be fair it was not that noisy. We got woken up by the construction every day around 8:00 but that was about when we wanted to get up anyway so it did not bother us too much. It is about 40 minutes from Haad Rin (full moon party beach) so be prepared to spend some money on taxis. Overall we would recommend this hotel it was quite beautiful and good value for your money! It is nice to be away from Haad Rin and the younger crowds. We also suggest renting out a kayak and visiting the surrounding beaches!

Good size rooms - lovely staff”

We had a really lovely stay at Haadyao. The staff were really friendly and the rooms were quite spacious. The food was really lovely and breakfast was included which was buffet style. It was really nice and quite a bit of selection. I also liked how there was someone there to make any type of eggs you wanted :-) We were meant to stay 1 night and ended up staying for 4 nights. Everything you need is easily accessible with a few shops right on your doorstep and can hire a motor bike there too.

Huge resort - cheap in off season”

Huge resort was empty in the off season compared to its size! Cheap rooms, very clean, nice staff and front desk were all family always there to great you, beautiful restaurant that does a BBQ overlooking the ocean for dinner with nice lights. Nice pool overlooking ocean. Is at end of haad yao beach and you can walk along it easily. Near a 7eleven for those wanting cheap water and snacks. Only complaint is haad yao is locked in by expensive restaurants 80 cheapest - 300 baht. No market stall style eating here

Beautiful location, amazing value!!”

Didn’t want to stay in the party area of Haad rin so decided on Haad Yao after some research. This hotel is PERFECTLY located alongside the beach. The rooms are large and spacious and excellent value for money. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights and stayed for 11 just because we loved waking up every day and laying by the beach on the loungers overlooking the sea and snorkelling. If you’re not looking to do much during your stay then this place is perfect for relaxation! It’s a short 10 minute work to local 7-11, Italian restaurant loccos (really nice) and a few other restaurants. Would highly recommend
