Graceful Hotel is located a few minutes' walk to several Michelin food places & eateries with nice food. Pho Gia Truyen, Pho 10 Ly Quoc Su, Mr Bảy Miền Tây (Bánh Xèo), Bun Bo Nam Bo , Bahn Mi 25, Thịt Nướng (meat skewers). Also short walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake, Dong Xuan Market and a number of famous cafes like Note Cafe, Cafe Giang etc. Upon arrival at hotel, Ms Ha was available & took the initiative to walk with us to show us her recommended nail & eyelashes parlours, at the same time pointed out recommended eateries that serve good tasty Vietnamese food. I also booked our Bai Tu Long Bay cruise & HK Business Sleeper Bus trips through her as she offered the best rates & follow-up and gave regular reminders. Ms Ha is very helpful & prompt to address feedback & fix issues quickly, which is greatly appreciated. She also gave good recommendations on massage/spa outlet. The other hotel staff are helpful and friendly as well. Superior Rooms may be dated with basic amenities and no window views, but the comfortable bed, great convenient location & warm hospitality makes it a pleasant stay.

There’s also an elevator to help you get your luggage to the upper floors. The free breakfast is a buffet style with a variety of foods like vegetables, noodles, rice, bread, cereals, and fruits. You can also order something out of their menu if you want. The room itself is just enough for two people with medium-sized luggages. If you have bigger luggages, I would suggest getting a bigger room instead since it would be difficult to open it. Despite this, the room is clean and you can opt for room cleaning daily. The staff are also super friendly and always eager to help. There is always someone to greet you when you go through the lobby. The staff also provided a list of tips on buying stuff (so you don’t get scammed) and on getting around the Old Quarter. They also give good restaurant recommendations.
We stayed here recently and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and seamless as possible. Every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to excellent service. The location is fantastic — perfectly situated for both exploring the area and getting around easily. Whether we were walking to nearby attractions or grabbing a quick bite, everything was incredibly convenient. What truly set this stay apart, though, was the thoughtful gesture on our last night. We had a very early morning flight, and to our surprise, the hotel prepared breakfast for us the night before so we wouldn’t miss out. That level of care and attention to detail really made us feel valued and taken care of. If you’re looking for a place that combines great hospitality, an ideal location, and those extra thoughtful touches that make all the difference — this is it. Highly recommended!

“LOCKED INSIDE BATHROOM ”
•Room 302 • On our 2nd day, my companion got locked up inside the bathroom for more than 30 minutes and hotel staff cant get her out. I was able to use a credit card and insert it on the side of the knob to open the door from outside and got her out. No one from the hotel knows how to open it and have to call someone else outside of the hotel. Staff was very apologetic , but my companion was panicking already. We are in a hurry that time too since we have a scheduled Halong Bay tour. Luckily, I was able to unlock it. Also, our room doesnt have a service phone. Which we didnt notice until we had to use one for emergency. I had to ask our companion from another room to call front desk for help. I asked them to change the lock after we leave. When we got back from our tour, I called the Manager's attention about what happened and she offered my companion a " good croissant" as compensation. LOL . Of course we declined and asked them if they were able to change the lock. Manager said repairman cant come bec. some roads are blocked for festivities and insisted on the good croissant for my companion again. LOL. Anyways, good thing it was already our last night l, we just decided not to lock the bathroom door. • Aircon was not functioning well. It will stop for several minutes and will work again. I dont know if it was programmed that way. The room doesnt have windows (only a mock window) so it is a bit hot when the aircon decides to stop working for several minutes. • The hair dryers are light and not of good quality. Ours doesn't have a cover for the fan at the back. I have long hair, some of my hair got caught up and got tangled on the fan. I had to cut my hair for that. • On our last day, the hair dryer of my companion from another room almost caugth fire. Luckily she noticed it immediately. Called their attention again but we are about to leave for the airport so I dont know what happend with that. • There are flight of stairs within the hotel floors. So you need to carry your luggages to get to some of the rooms. Managers says it's a French thing. it was designed that way by the French owner. This was easily solved as staffs can help you with the luggages. They are just a call away. •free breakfast is good and adequate. Staffs are attentive. They always check and refill the foods. •Rooms are cleaned and arranged everyday . Room smells nice but dimly lit. Should have installed much brighter lights since walls are painted dark too. •Staying for a night or two is just ok. •Elevator is a bit small but serves its purpose. 2 people can fit with 2 or 3 luggages or 6 people without luggages • There are stocks/things blocking the stairs on the 4th floor so in case the elevator is not working, you wont be able to use the stairs. To note: •Ask for rooms within floor levels or without stairs especially if you have elderlies with you, have knee issues or have very heavy luggages. • test the knobs if its working well. If not, dont lock the door when you use it. Better be safe than sorry. • bring your own reliable hair dryer • check if the room has a service phone for emergency calls. Overall, price is good but how they handled the locked bathroom door issue was a bit short. We already asked them to change the lock but the entire day went by and no action was taken. I just hope it got changed after we leave so no one will have to experience being locked inside again. A lot could have happened if a guest was staying alone in that room. No one would notice if one was locked inside panicking and with a medical condition. The guy at the front desk was very apologetic and I commend him for that . The situation is beyond his control. The issues need to be addressed by the owner.
