Hat Khlong Chao hotels & places to stay

We had just booked one night in this hotel before going to ko kood. Knowing we would find other available hotels during the green season if this one was disappointing. So the first day, we rented a motorbike and visited a few other pre-selected hotels on various beaches of the island to see if they would be better. In the end, Away appeared to be the best choice. Location is very good with the river to one of the 3 waterfalls, nice beach, close to best rated bars and restaurants, bungalows are nice (ocean front) and clean. Tip: unless you really feel uncomfortable with it, renting a motorbike in ko kood is by far the best way to make the most of your stay there(beaches, villages, waterfalls, restaurants,...). Roads are safe compared to more developed parts of Thailand.

after having problems with agoda regarding the booking i wasnt expecting the holiday to be as successful. however when we arrive the staff were very welcome and helpful. The rooms were lovely but we booked a sponge villa which was 2 bedrooms but it was not within thw same room so we could not access the other bedroom easily but that wasnt too bad we still liked it. it would have been nice if the resort had a pool as the weather was not great and the kids would have loved swimming in the pool. Breakfast buffet was 5 star . they had many options to choose from and the taste was good. Cocktails is a reccomend as well!!!

Private Atmosphere, quiet, lovely staff, perfect service. Everything! I had the beach pool villa and it was just way too relaxing! The place has an amazingly soothing vibe with a gorgeous view of Khlong Chao Beach. The beach is secluded and the main restaurant is beautiful with a gorgeous view! Its a must visit if u just want to relax in peace! The pizza in the Italian restaurants are amazing. The front desk was responsive and efficient.

This is a fantastic little hotel located on one of the island's best beaches and designed in an inspired beach hut chic. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the views are gorgeous. The staff are wonderfully attentive and the food is very good, if a little expensive compared to other options in the village. We found occasional imperfections such a wonky tap and wobbly loo seat, and the showers are a law unto themselves, but this may be down to the water pressure on the island. If you are looking for a flawless five star experience then you might wish to look elsewhere, but then Koh Kood's natural beauty may not be for you. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a slightly rustic but essentially luxurious, maximum relaxation, minimum nightlife experience, then both the island and the hotel make an ideal choice.

a very excellent hotel, the location next to the beach and Peter Pan hotel, the area is very good, a large pool (and for children too), rooms in the form of a bungalow, in the room: large bed, TV (there are many European channels), excellent wi-fi, air conditioning, plus there is a fan on the wall, a dressing table for ladies, a refrigerator, a minibar, a shower, a toilet, a balcony, armchairs and a hammock on the balcony, breakfasts are very dense and good, there are few people in the hotel (when fully filled) and this is very good, so like Bassin is constantly half empty and there are no queues for breakfast, bungalows are apart from each other Aleko, I don’t hear the neighbors, it’s very quiet in the evening and at night, I recommend this hotel to everyone, and besides, at the reception you can rent a motorbike cheaper than others

Just Fan room is enough for me to stay in May, kind staff , nice breakfast, the can help me a lot, like I come with 3 friends and I didn't book one more room, when I arrived there she gave me the 1 left room in same price which I booked from agoda which is cheaper and she also help if I need motorcycle and also discount for longer rent There were many dogs , basically I hate dogs but staying here for 3 night can fix me lol The wifi wasn't work well in the room but work best at the center, they are fixing I suggest this fortravellers who like to be in real natural, like jungle , avoid from social (include internet) and wanna save money for other activities in at island. Good location bcuz the Klong Chao beach is kinda best of the island But it's hard to get to this guesthouse bcuz u have to walk/ride across a little river which I think it's dangerous if u were drunk The guesthouse is quite I went the island at 20-23 May 2016 ,there are many construction ex specially the road, so it quite hard to travel within the island

We went to the islands by boat and stayed in about 5 different places over 9 days. This was by far the best place we stayed, but they charged me 900 THB for an extra bed because we had a kid with us. My family can sleep in one bed easily, but they demanded we get an extra bed which was 50% the cost of the room. I realize they say this on their policy but I try to avoid such places. This was the only hotel on the islands that charged us for my child.

Pros: • excellent location, a five minute walk from the beautiful Klong Chao Beach - there are also good restaurants within a ten minute walk in all directions • two dorm rooms with two bunk beds each, so eight people at most on any given night - a good amount given the size of the overall building • water refill station (10 baht each time) • good water pressure in the shower • railings, clothing racks, and ropes to hang your clothes • Trash Hero Ko Kut participant (a weekly garbage pickup event organized by them that gives purpose to any trip to the island) • Jam and Manu (staff members) were very helpful with my requests • adorable dogs and a cat (named Fat Boy) around the property Cons: • sometimes we would have no water, but when the staff were alerted they responded promptly • there are houses behind the dorm, which were a bit loud some evenings
