The hotel was just okay — nothing special. There were very few facilities available, and the room was quite basic. Don’t expect much in terms of comfort or extra services. However, the location was perfect, and the outside sitting area was nice and relaxing, which added some value to the stay. If you’re only looking for a place to sleep and care more about location than amenities, this might work for you. But overall, it could definitely be better.
This hostel is far from the center of Zadar, and I had a hard time figuring out how to get around by bus. Also most of the guests when I was there were little kids. Maybe it's because I was there in August. The room itself is below average, just a tiny room with beds, lockers and a tiny bathroom. There's only one key for each room so you have to ask the reception for it every time you go out or come back.
I really enjoyed my stay at Zadar Youth Hostel. The location suited me about 5km away from the busy part of town but still on the water. It was perfect for having a rest and relaxing. The outdoor courtyard with lounges and large umbrellas gave a real holiday feel and it was nice to sit outside in the sun to have breakfast. I'd definitely go there again. The breakfast included in the price was quite good. The evening meals available were very cheap but not food to my liking. The whole place was exceptionally clean and very well run. It is a bit overused by large bus groups but most are very well behaved.

“Excellent place to stay”
Situated at a fantastic location, this hostel provides very good facility. Staffs are helpful. Best part is they provide a very good breakfast, as much as you can eat. There is an open space in front of the building where you can pass leisure time... Excellent place to stay, be it in a group or solo traveller. Highly recommended.
