“Infested with bugs”
quite possibly the worst hostel i’ve experienced. This review is for the staff who don’t give two fucks about their customers. They will treat you like dogs and do not care about your experience. It all started with the lady with short hair when giving me my sheets proceeded to yell at me to follow her up the stairs like i could read her mind. She proceeded to put me in a room next to her separated by a curtain. The room’s door swings open really easily because of the fan, which has to stay on because there is no air conditioning even though they make you pay an “electric/aircon fee”. When I tried locking the room door to change, she came back and told me i’m not allowed to lock it. They charge you to use almost every amenity, including a the burner. The whole time I was treated like I was an inconvenience to them. Got yelled at for taking a call. Later in the night I went to use the bathroom in the room which she knocked on the bathroom door telling me not to do that. She then stormed out hysterically screaming and threatening me like a crazy person in italian something “are you normal” for turning on the light… in the other room. Lady hasn’t heard of eye masks. I asked to switch rooms as i felt extremely uncomfortable after this situation and the guy working the downstairs speaking shit and calling me names in arabic then started verbally insulting me for talking to “clients” about how horrible and dirty the bathrooms are since there are ecosystems of bugs in the shower/washroom. he essentially didn’t give me a different option until i said i would call the police on the crazy lady in charge who threatened me. I ended up waiting an hour for him to take calls and help multiple customers before me to then offer me a room with a male after I had paid extra for an all-female room. Wasn’t apologized to, empathized with. Just disgusting hostel and even more disgusting people who run the hostel. They should be ashamed of themselves for talking and treating people like subhumans.
