This is one of the best hostels, more like a hotel to me, that I stayed at in Thailand. I reserved the smallest private room and I was extremely happy with it: it was super clean, modern and functional. Everything worked 100%. The bathroom was clean and immaculate. Water temperature and pressure was excellent. The staff was friendly and excellent as well. I highly suggest that you utilize their inhouse travel services (STA Travel). Toni from STA, booked a full day island tour that was affordable and luxurious. That's all I'm going to say. If you can opt for a better package, go with it, you won't regret it. Also worth mentioning, is that there are so many activities within the hostel that can allow you to relax, socialize and network with people. Somedays, you can just stay inside the 'hostel', away from the hustle of Phuket within a nice environment and still enjoy yourself. Location is excellent: next to a lot of restaurants, food stalls, massage parlor and Walking ST.

10/10! We stayed 4 Nights in this really nice hotel and loved it! Such a nice style and super clean. The beaches kata and karon are super near. The staff was really nice and made the stay so special to us. We loved the free services, like the breakfast and the offer of tours. One staff member took us for free with his own car to beautyfull places around Phuket. It was such a nice private service and we loved the story’s of a local. We went to places like Phuket night market and the big Buddha. We would totally recommend this place!

I would give it 5 star cause I wanted to save money for other activities around the Phuket city rather than relax at the hotel. You won't get on that price with highest reviews so far online. Staff are so friendly and like to help guest if they need so. Hotel is clean including dining area. Wifi powerful, it goes upto 35 mbps download and upload.I would recommend to other who would like to save money on accommodation and save money for the activities. Only also please confirm with them 100% that which room is selected for you or going to have for avoiding future disappointed. Best wishes for you in thailand.

Had such a nice stay at this hostel and would definitely go back there if I return to Phuket Town. The staff was really accommodating, breakfast (coffee, tea, toast, butter, jam and either some eggs, rice dish or vegetables) was good, everything was clean and in a good condition, the pool is small but perfect for a little swim on a hot day in the town and there's also a small common area which is perfect for hanging out at night. You can bring your own stuff and use the kitchen (and a fridge) for free. There's free drinking water the whole day and the lobby is also a kinda common area where people hang out (games and books for free usage) , if you want you can even watch TV. If you want to book a tour there's a booking machine next to the rezeption, the tours are comparatively cheap. You can rent a scooter for 200 baht / day at the hostel as well, I would recommend to do that and drive around the island a bit. In general, Phuket Town is a nice location to stay at.

we booked for one night on arrival into phuket based upon leaving by bus again the following day. check in was simple - just hand in your agoda voucher and you get your key. we are familiar with thailand so didn't require much interaction with the reception staff though they had smiles enough as we passed by! the hotel exceeded our expectations - it was clean and comfortable and the bed was comfy, which was perfect after a long flight! we stayed on the 2nd floor at the front and were not bothered at all by road noise - our balcony even allowed us to enjoy the balmy evening and watch the street activities. it is ideally located only a couple of minutes walk from the bus station where there are also plenty of food stalls in the morning and daytime, plus at night right outside there is a place to eat the dishes up great noodle soup! there are night markets are about two blocks away, with further morning and night markets another block on - an easy walk, less than 10 minutes. we stayed at another guest house on the way back through phuket as it was already booked, but would have been very happy to stay at lub sbuy again. it is a completely suitable choice for a day or two's stay in phuket though it is not a town we would spend much time in as for us it is a transit point.

If you're looking for place to spent your night this is the best place. Strategic location because you have to go through an alley to reach the hostel make it less noisy at night. Staff can speak good english and know everything you need at Phuket. Walking distance to Patong Beach area and near to Family Mart. Don't hesitate to book this hostel you won't regret it, trust me.

I really recommend Lupta Hostel to all of you guys. I went to Phuket on my own this December. Lupta was perfect for meeting new people from all over the world, who definately became friends. You never have to spend time alone, if you don't want to. To be honest, Lupta is not a 5 star hotel, but it provides everything what a backpacker needs. In particular, it's very cosy and clean, has wifi, air con, washing machines and warm showers. You also can lock your belongings next to your bed. The Hostel is perfectly located next to the beach and the party area. Just next door you'll find a 24/7 supermarket. The staff is amazing. They help you out with every problem, that might come along. One of the Lupta staff members, named Zaii, was sooo lovely and recommended a lot of great places and activities. I really appriciate her amazing support! I booked trips, transportation and scooters right with her at the reception. Never had a problem! Greets and safe travels!

we found a newest hostel in phuket town area, ai phuket hostel, located near thalang road, the staffs are very friendly. the hostel is very clean, cheap, modern. we are really liked the design in the bedroom, they have the different ceiling of each room. the hostel located in very good location. quiet and i feel more relaxing. the oppersite is the local food center "lok tian food court" there are many local food for taste, i like it.!!! and only 1 minutes to walk away to thalang road (the ancient street). you must to stay here. don't be missed.

Very thoughtful layout. Clean. Surfboards to rent. Friendly-ish staff. My bed first night had ants but they changed me to a different room the next morning. Love the kitchen and fridge, people seem to get lots of use out of that. Movie screen projector works fine. They have blu rays but no blu Ray player? Location was amazing and the Tex Mex restaurant next door had amazing cheap breakfasts and even better cheap Thai food. Best place to stay in Phuket!! ❤️

Located just across Rip Curl Stores and Patong Beach. 24 hours Family Mart just beside the hostel and ATM machines. 10 to 15 minutes walk to Bangla Street. Surrounded by so many eatery places around. The best hostel that I ever stay. Very comfortable room. By the way, I got myself a single room with air conditioning and clean towel provided. Shared female bathroom, they provide shower gel, shampoo and hair dryers. 5th floor is the nicest place to hang out with communal where you can lie in and watch DVD and kitchen area to order your food, you need to pay. A small lap pool and a view over looking the ocean. Free coffee and tea from 8am to 10am. WiFi is superb. Best place to stay if you are in Phuket. Highly recommended 👍

Great little hotel with a resort feel but without the resort price. It's no 5-star hotel, so don't expect the amenities. However, great location, there is a restaurant on the premises and the housekeeping staff were great. I didn't get to deal with the front desk much, and note they do not have 24 hour service. The bathrooms were a bit weird, with the saloon style doors and while it was cool for the first few nights, it quickly turned into one of those things I wish I didn't have. Walking distance to TMT, restaurants. Quiet and peaceful.

We were coming in on a 1am flight with 3 kids. This flight was delayed on take off and on arrival which meant we arrived at 2.30am (5.30am Australian time). Poor Max was waiting for our call to pick us up from the airport but we don't have our mobiles with us, so caught a cab with a driver who had no idea where we were going. Anyway, we arrived were shown to a very clean large room which accommodated us very well. The next day max drove up 1.5 hrs north to our holiday accommodation. This place is a handy location to Phuket Airport with great cafes nearby. Would recommend for transit and also recommend for transfers

Love the decorations and ambiance of this cozy hostel. They provide daily simple breakfast of bread and eggs for the guests at the lobby. The rooms were relatively clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful in providing their services. If you are not afraid of the hot weather, you may take 10 minute walk to nearest TESCO shopping mall for grocery shopping. Alternatively there's a 7 eleven located opposite the hostel. During weekends, Chillva night market is just located opposite the hostel for cheap food, clothes and cosmetic shopping. There're also a bus stop near the hostel that provides public bus to the famous old Phuket town walking street. Tips for travelers: Generally the taxi fare in Phuket is pretty expensive and hard to flag. You may try using Grabcar to get a lower taxi rate if you don't intend to drive.

This small hostel is in a good location, just opposite Ocean shopping mall and Robinson department store is just in few minutes walk. It locates in city centre, however a bit far to walk to the "Old Phuket Town", where is the place for tourists to visit; but within 15-20 minutes walk (it won't be a problem if you rent a motorbike!). The staff is friendly and helpful. I booked for 4-lady dorm room, but got an upgrade to stayed in private room, which is very nice. The wifi is ok, on the 3rd floor shows sometime on and off signal, but still work. Overall, i'm happy with this hotel, but next time I would move to stay in other hostels which is more closer to the Old Town (after looked around and observed, the price is somehow as same as this one, but no need to walk in a long distance).

Facilities: they have a climbing wall and an awesome boulderwall/cave. They have a yoga studio with big mirrors at the roof top. It’s a do it your own since their teacher is in chiang mai. They have a kitchen. My husband and I did yoga each single day we stayed there and bouldered after. This is a wonderful place to stay because even if you are not keen to leave the hostel for a day, you don’t get bored because you can still make your day productive. They have a WiFi, the rooms were clean and artistic, modern and soap and shampoo were lemon grass/relaxing. Accessibility: it’s in the middle of town. 3 Mins away from the grocery stores like Robinson’s, Watson’s, pizza company, swinzen, cue bar, bus station 1, and 5 Mins to walk if you want to see the old Thailand road. Staff: the staff will help you rent a bike for a good price or get you a taxi or book you tickets to other islands. It’s a really wonderful place to stay. We received a Happy New Year card and an origami of a Christmas tree that Christmas Day. It’s a warm gesture specially when you’re not home. Breakfast: this is is the only place I Town that offers breakfast early and with a reasonable price. They also serve real coffee for a super reasonable price. For some reason Town doesn’t have breakfast places unless if you want to pay 500 baht breakfast and walk a distance. This place is a gem.

It's really cheap and valuable (i pay about 400฿ on private rooms) This hostel even have toast in morning for breakfast(it's free!) Location is quite good! Clean room But there's like a broken shower head but it's okay. I have read the reveiw before I book that across the hostel there is like a night-bar that making a noise at night. After I stay for night, for me it not that noisy, it's not that loud.

The best hostel i’ve ever been. Very comfy, New, clean and really Good design. The standard is really like in the 4 stars hotel. You can feel like at home. Everything is so white, bright, clean that make you want to stay in. The owner/ manager the lady is amazing person who knows what is Good hospitalilty. After check in she asked us about our food preferences. When i told her i’m vegetarian, she prepared especially for me vegetarian dish for a breakfast next day. She was the nicest person that we met during our stay in Thailand. For sure if I come to Thailand again i will stay in that hostel one more time.

The Staff was super nice, very helpful and spoke very good english. The rooms were small but comfy and very clean. The lobby and bathrooms were absolutely beautiful. Overall a very stylish hostel. It's pretty affordable and the location isn't really bad considering that you can reach everything by scooter or GRAB easily and cheap as well. Highly recommend the hostel if you want to go to Phuket. But not, if you want to have a party hostel, because that's just not what this hostel is.

I'm pretty tame about my reviews. That said, I stayed at Pause Kathu for 2 weeks and can say it is awesome. I stayed in the dorm room. The facilities were great. The staff, Yai and Joe, are both friendly and helpful and just great human beings to meet. These guys really take care of you. The clientele who move through this intimate hostel were always interesting and friendly as well. I will certainly head back to this place when I'm through Phuket again.

Booked a mixed dorm room for 1 night but I got upgraded to a private twin bed room for the first night because it's still newly opened period, and I stayed longer and got changed to a private double bed room. The en-suite rooms were so huge and spacious. The bed was so comfy as same as a nice 4-star hotel. The air-conditioner was very good! There were also flat-screen TV & a fridge in room. There was a large balcony as well, so I could hang my towel & wet clothes. The lobby and common area were very well decorated and very cute. I took loads of photos in there! The Reception staff who is also an owner speaks very well English, Mandarin and Japanese. The staff here were very helpful, friendly, and willing to help you in anything. Some might think the hostel is a bit out of the way, but it was actually about 10-15mins nice walk to the beach just down Phrabaramee Road. Nearby the hostel, there were many places to eat, mostly local Thai food, many Muslim restaurants with Halal Thai food and western food (maybe because Patong Mosque was just down the road), Chicken rice, noodle shop, Somtam, Pad Thai, etc. Opposite side, there was a convenient store "Super Cheap", Phuket's own brand! Stuff here were really cheap, a lot cheaper than other convenient store brands. Government Saving Bank (GSB=Aomsin Bank)is just around the corner for a landmark point. At first I found it a bit far from Patong lively area, but it turned out to be very good to sleep! It only took 5mins by motor bike taxi to Jungceylon(huge shopping mall), Bangla street (nightlife), Banzaan Market(good for cheap street food), and to the beach. Patong streets nowadays could be really busy and the traffic could be really bad during rush hours so beside walking, motorbike taxi is another good option for cheap travel. Overall my stay here for 5 nights was excellent! I enjoyed it very much and would love to recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely come back again!

Maikhao is an area situated at the north side of Phuket, near the airport. It is an area which is much less crowded with people(except for the resorts on the west side of maikhao). This place is a nicely decorated house which has several types of rooms to choose from. The beds are comfy and sheets are clean. The A/C works really well that you can get pass the heat pretty fine... The host Dave is working nearby and he is super helpful in making you enjoy your stay there and in Phuket. Car rental tends to be quite expensive in Phuket, but Dave offers really good deals with both cars and scooters rental service. The common area is spacious and the kitchen is quite well-equipped! I have stayed for 3 weeks and enjoy this place so much! Thanks Dave and the lady to make us feel so comfortable during our stay!

Lovely happy helpful girl at the service desk. There is a little (poorly equipped) shared kitchen with a shared fridge and a communal "café area" where you can eat your own food, which I appreciated since you are not allowed to bring any foods in to your room. I had a private double room with private bathroom. It was a white room with patterned floor tiles (nice). Hard bed, as always in Thailand (I've gotten used to it). The sewers were not doing so well (as is very common in Thailand) so the bathroom smellt a bit like broccoli. I did not notice too much of the smell in the room though. On agoda my room was said to have garden view but there was no other openings than the door to my room. I was specifically looking to book a room that had a window since I dislike windowless cubicles, so this aspect of the room was disappointing to me. (I got a windowless cubicle.) I actually believe this hostel has no private rooms with windows to the outdoors, since all the rooms I saw were tucked away in the interior of the building. I saw some rooms that had windows that opened to the internal corridor and there were some little plants placed outside these windows. I believe that maybe these rooms are the ones with "garden view". I think it is better for a hostel to clearly describe what you will get in terms of windows or no windows, opening to outdoor or indoor space. - It makes for happier customers if you you get (at least) what you thought you were getting. So things to consider when you stay here: It might be better to get a room with shared bathroom because then you don't risk getting the sewer smell in your bedroom. Don't expect to get windows opening to the outdoors, or even a window at all. If you are aware of these conditions, you should find this a five star place, at this price point.

Though the place isn't that near to the beach, this trivial detail did not matter to us that much. Actually, we are happy that we booked with this hostel. The owner is fluent in speaking English, which is quite rare in that place, and he was very helpful and accommodating. We booked the Private 4-bunk bedroom - which was very clean, spacious, and quiet. We did not encounter any issues at all while staying there. Located nearby are restaurants and 711 which proves very convenient. Their wifi is fast, perfect for all social media enthusiasts out there.

My friend and I originally booked 2 nights but stayed for 4 (and would have stayed longer if it weren’t for other plans). Camp Hostel has a really nice vibe for good people looking for a laid back time by the beach! The walk is short to both Kata and Karon, and there’s a lot of restaurants in the surrounding area—including a small night market with delicious and cheap eats. Free drinking water refills were great, and it was nice to have the option to bring mats/snorkels to the beach for free as well. We met some really laid back, interesting people, and will definitely cherish our time at Camp Hostel. It’s simple—just what you need as a backpacker looking for a good time socially. Shout out to Achi, Bayu, and Em for all they do to keep travelers happy. You all rock!
