Nice hotel, great service but can be noisy”
this was my second visit to cusco so i was looking for somewhere comfortable but cheap and i found it at the golden inca. sometimes the hotel could get a little noisy, with people shouting in the corridors or stomping up the stairs, but as it wasn't all the time, it wasn't much of an issue. the breakfast is good with fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, rolls, coffee etc. and the staff were really lovely and helpful - they even went out of their way to find me a cardboard box so i could post some things home! the hotel is approx. 10 mins walk away from the city centre which is a bit inconvenient at night but didn't worry me too much. the shower was amazing, good pressure and lots of hot water, and the whole place was very clean too! all in all, a great stay - thankyou!

Excellent and Friendly Hotel in a Quiet area of Cusco”
On our trip to Machupichu we found this gem of a hotel in Cusco. They provided a generous 11:30am checkin time so we left our luggage in our room and toured the Inca sites of the city. The free breakfast each morning was different but incuded egg omlets, fruit, yogurt, bread, cereal, chocolate milk, tea, crackers, and cold cuts. When we left for Machupichu the staff offered to store our luggage free for the day which allowed us to take a light backpack to Machupicchu. They spoke English and were amazingly helpful. Because the hotel is not on the main square it's quiet and we had a good sleep each night. Before going out to see the city we were able to fill our water bottles at the hotel because they have unlimited free water refills, saving us money, time and plastic bottles. Overall this is an amazing hotel for the price we paid.

Hidden gem- would definitely stay here again”
We stayed at Hotel Golden Inca before and after we hiked the Inca Trail. The reception staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was delicious- a lot of fresh fruit, juices, cheese, cereal, veggies, etc. Our rooms were basic, clean, plenty of hot water, and our kids loved having Wi-Fi. We liked staying away from the tourist area. (only a 10-15 minute walk) It gave us an opportunity to try a few of the local "mom and pop" restaurants. Overall, Hotel Golden Inca is a great value and we would highly recommend

last minute booking”
I needed a room in Cusco at the last minute and The Hotel Golden Inca was ideal. The staff were friendly and the room was much better than I expected for the price. Overall I'd recommend this hotel and it's within easy strolling distance of the centre of Cusco.

Great Hotel, a little off of the beaten track”
We stayed at the Golden Inca for a total of 5 nights in Cusco. The price was very reasonable, the room was nice, great shower, decent breakfast. The hotel staff were very helpful in booking us tours, giving us suggestions of where to go. The only negative was that the hotel is a little bit away from the main square, however it was only a 3 soles cab ride.

Lovely Hotel”
Lovely friendly hotel. Good breakfast and the room was spacious/clean. The hotel is about a 15min walk from the centre of Cusco which is fine during the day but be I would recommended a taxi after dark.

Affordable but not totally comfortable ”
We asked for a big bed vs the two double beds but ended up with two double beds. We didn't mind the extra bed but it made the room very cramped. Beds were comfy but pillows were super tiny like airplane pillows. Some of the towels we received needed to be thrown away bc they were losing its thread count and no longer white. Hot water and heater in room was a plus for the cold nights. Location is a little far from center. We took cab rides home for 3-6 soles depending on where we were. Some staff were great such as Hayde and the gentleman that works the night shift, however, there was another female front desk girl who couldn't communicate well so it made asking her questions about tours and booking taxi rides difficult. Warning on booking tours with their partner company Inka Adventures. I had one of my Spanish speaking friends talk to the main person, Jose, to book their 4 days and 3 nights in Cusco. We didn't want to wire any money yet until we arrived into Cusco, so Jose told me to meet him at 8pm at the hotel to book it. Long story short, he wasted both mine and his time by saying he couldn't accommodate us on his tours. Terrible customer service and terrible communication in both Spanish and English. We had a lot of trouble getting a hold of someone on the phone, once on the phone with Jose, he would hang up and never pick up again. No one responded to emails as well. Book the tours at your own risk. I would recommend to book tours on your own or go to Plaza De Armas for better rates, better customer service, and better communication. Overall, decent hotel to stay at but their lack of communication made our stay very unpleasant. Would not recommend to friends or family.

Friendly staff, nice and clean hotel, soft beds!”
Booked this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is partly still under construction so everything they have is still brand spanking new. The room I had included a small living room and a kitchen area with a fridge. I didn't use it, but it was nice enough for the price. The beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately there was construction during the day so I couldn't sleep. The staff was very friendly. When I hailed a taxi from the airport (I just walked straight to the street and ignored the people waiting outside the airport). We agreed at 10 soles and it was about a 10 minute drive. When I got to the hotel, the driver helped bring my bags in and I didn't even have to pay! The driver was friends with the hotel staff so he didn't charge me, even though I tried to pay/tip him, they were just too nice! The hotel is about 2km to the Plaza de Armas. Use a Google map cause you might have trouble with the map the hotel provides. It excludes a lot of small streets and a lot of the streets don't have updated street names.

Solo traveller ”
My overall stay at golden hotel inca wasn't that bad. Location wise it's only 15 mins away from plaza de armas and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would have to be the noise from the constructions and the noise of the house keeping vacuuming at 12 midnight. Good thing I brought some earplugs.

Clean Hotel with Friendly Staff”
The hotel was light and airy. Neve helped us store our luggage for free while we went to Machu Picchu which was really convenient. Winston carried all our luggage up to our rooms. The WiFi was outstanding. They gave us a free map of the city, coca leaves, candy and water. They really know customer service at this simple hotel.

Good hotel to stay in Cusco”
We were happy with this hotel. It is only 5-10 mins walk to the city of Cusco. Staffs are friendly and helpful, but only few of them can speak English.

Impressive bed”
I already expected the location will be away from the main square but the walk is really not that far. The staff is very helpful in all ways, for tours, tips on where to shop and assisted me in the printing of my other tour vouchers at no cost. The breakfast is very ample. The most impressive for me is the bed and which is large and well appointed, especially the pillows. The toilet and bath is also very clean and well tiled. At the price I paid, I think this hotel is really a steal or a great bargain! The internet connection is also a plus factor as it is always accessible and have connection that does not drop.

Okay for Cusco”
The Hotel is outside the Historic Center of Cusco but just a 10 minutes walk. Our room was a little bit small but acceptable. Also our room had no window to the outside (for fresh air) but only towards the inside of the building, into the floor. All in all the hotel is good for a stay in Cusco, but nothing special.
