It is convenient for buying souvenirs and going out for drinks, as it is close to the city center. While some amenities are lacking, I think it's good considering the low accommodation prices. It would be fine to bring what you know is missing, and it wasn't particularly inconvenient. On the contrary, I thought it was a good deal since they provided a free breakfast (bento). If you stay multiple nights, the room won't be cleaned every day, but they did exchange towels. There are a few parking spots available; fortunately, one was vacant when I needed it, but if full, you would have to use a nearby paid parking lot.
