A 2 night stay. We regularly visit this hotel off season ( Apr / May and October time ). Only one negative really which is not particularly in the Hotels control. It being large it attracts large group tours and this stay had noisy Spanish and Portuguese groups who talk in corridors without any inclination that it affects others tranquility . A real pain. Having said that I would return and probably come midweek next time hoping it’s not as busy . Check in here is most impressive and they always allow early access to the rooms if available as they did again this time. Lady on check in was lovely as She is always so thank you!
Me and my partner stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Its a great location rooms are spacious they have an amazing swimming pool and Live music. We really enjoyed and recommend it.
Perfect! We were allowed to check in early by a very efficient, polite and informative Receptionist. Whilst I knew check in here is advertised at 1600 hours and was prepared to accept this it was a great bonus. Not busy at the hotel which suited also. I was wished happy birthday too without admitting it was my birthday. 😄🙏. Will be coming again probably during October as We prefer quiet times at this resort. Hotel is spotless. Didn’t take breakfast option as We prefer to go to local cafes . Thank you Hotel and give the lady on Reception a raise in salary please 😄😄
Big hotel, but done on a small scale. The room is fine. Good size and clean. Staff are great. Friendly and helpful. Some amusing touches: the huge empty foyer; fake grass around the pool; have to provide your own towel and cap to use sauna, jacuzzi. Monte Gordo is small; so can walk to everywhere in a few minutes. As long as the price is right, it's fine.

“Basic 4 star hotel”
We had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel is in a great location — right in the city center and close to the beach. The room was clean, the pool was nice, and the staff were kind and very flexible, even allowing us to check in earlier than expected. However, for what’s advertised as a 4-star hotel, a few basic amenities were missing — there was no kettle, basic coffee or tea, and limited toiletries. Still, considering the price and location, it was a good stay and we appreciated the hospitality.
