Love the Garden”
The hotel is located in more tranquil spaces in Tokyo. It has every quality of 5-star hotel but I think the most distinctive features of this hotel are their traditional Japanese-style rooms and the BEAUTIFUL large Japanese garden. Great spots for photograph. It is recommended if you love gardens. I wish I could stay longer.

The check in process was fast, and the bellhops were quick to unload our luggage. We had an issue with our guest numbers through Agoda, so please make sure that you have the right total number of guests. Fortunately for me, Yukari from the concierge

Worth of try”
I was kind of curious of this hotel, so I dared to try one night. The services are pretty good and the breakfast was great. One thing is that you need to pay extra from the fre breakfast if you want the specific food to eat

Think of a bad cruise ship experience without water”
I never write bad reviews. but many months after staying there, I find myself still resenting my experience there. Monstrously large and clumsy and impersonal. I was forced to spend 20 minutes chasing a young bell boy from the reception through the ugly and complex maze to find my room. There was bad weather that night. and I was traveling alone. So, I decided to try one of the interior restaurants. It was a lounge and it had a live band. Nice touch right? But, I was sat as far as possible from the band, despite asking to sit at one of the very many empty seats. I guess they didn't like that i was alone. I then spent another 30 minutes waiting for a sever to ask me if i would like anything. I stopped waiting and realized there was a buffet. and so i started to serve myself, when one of the servers acted like a prison guard and insisted i sit back down and wait for one of my servers. another 20 minutes passes. The band very far away stops playing. I finally get permission to visit the buffet. only to realize most of the dishes are picked over, some are fully empty. I get a small bowl of soup. it's terrible. I don't eat. i ask three different servers for the bill. 40 minutes pass. having basically eaten nothing besides the spoonful of bad soup, i start to walk out of the restaurant. I wait at the cash register for a few minutes. no one is there. I told the first server what my room number was. so i decided to go to try to find another restaurant. I walk for a few minutes looking menus at the few remaining open restaurants. And, as i decide to enter one, that prison guard from the buffet restaurant actually yells at me telling me i need to pay. I explained the circumstance. no sympathy. It takes 10 minutes to go through the annoying process. I then go back to the other restaurant and it's now closed for the evening. I walk back to my room hoping for room service. the menu is depressing. i eat nothing. and sleep with an empty stomach. In the morning, i drag my luggage a

Hotel with the works!”
We stayed at the New Otani with our 3 year-old and loved it! It was one of the only hotels we could find in Tokyo that offered a triple room with separate bed for a reasonable price. The room itself was spacious, with a separate living area and bathroom - even a heated toilet seat! Eating out in Tokyo is very expensive, so we stocked up at the little supermarket downstairs in the hotel and ate breakfast in our room - they had everything from pastries to sushi. We were very disappointed at not being able to use the pool - apparently it is closed at a certain time each year, despite the fact that the weather was sunny and mild. Check this before you book. The breakfast buffet was also very ordinary - everything tasted a bit stale and it was extremely expensive - we only ate there once! Overall, this is a wonderful deluxe hotel in the heart of Tokyo - huge, but friendly - and in a great position for cafes and train stations. If you're travelling as a couple or with kids, you'll find it a great option.

Very nice hotel, kind service, very tidy, nice room”
This was our first trip to Tokyo and therefore the first stay at The New Otani. Easy transfer from Narita Airport with Airport Limousine Bus directley to the hotel (3000 Yen per Person), early check-in, very nice reception. The room was from an adequate size, very tidy, calm. The hotel is located next to Akasaka mitsuke Metro Station. The booking via Agoda easy and absoltutly reasonably priced. The perfect hotel for our absolutely perfect stay in this amazing city!

New Otani Hotel Experience”
I've stayed at the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo twice now, both times the experience has been very positive, from the professionalism of the staff to the relaxed atmosphere of the whole complex. It has a number of restaurants (even outside in the gardens there are 2 restaurants) and bars. Trader Vics is an American chain of quality resaurants, they offer a good buffet lunch on Sundays, ask for a window seat when you book for great views of the gardens and lake. The rooms are nicely fitted out, especially in the Main, this last time I stayed in the Tower on the 35th floor. Nice room with good views of the city. Taxis are available, though you are only 2 minutes walk from the metro, so its easy to head out to explore. Asakasa is only 5 minutes walk, plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars to explore. I would recommend it because its not an international chain, it has a good feel to it. Stay and Enjoy !!!

Fabulous traditional hotel with great service ”
the new otani tokyo is a traditional and slightly old-fashioned hotel which offers great service with spacious and comfortable rooms. the staff made us feel extremely welcome and did their utmost to help us with our queries. we enjoyed the fabulous views over tokyo from our room, and took time to visit the historic japanese gardens on the hotel grounds. there is an array of restaurants and shops within the hotel. the two restaurants we tried were unfortunately a little expensive and with disappointing food, but the service was excellent.

Biggest hotel i've ever seen!”
The hotel New Otani was great! The staff were so friendly and organised. We received a great deal on agoda.com... which ended up being cheaper than the 3star crack-den flight center had arranged. It's really close to Akasaka where there is plenty of shopping and eating to be done. The underground is also very close, and it's a very short trip to Shibuya and a little longer for Harajuku. One way tickets were about 130yen which is less than $2. Great hotel, great little gym in the garden tower with views over Akasaka.

Value for money, as usual.”
This is at least my third time at the New Otani. I got a triple for my wife, son and myself. The room came with three beds and a sitting room. There was enough room for us not to be tripping over each other. It's not every hotel that offers such accommodation. Besides the spacious triple, the hotel boasts a great number of restaurants not only in the hotel but also in its basement arcade. The service is also always courteous and helpful. The only drawback of this hotel is its somewhat isolated location. However, this can be cured by a short walk to the nearest subway station Akasaka-Mitsuke. The Ginza line takes you directly to shopping and entertainment areas of Omotesando, Shibuya and Ginza.

New Otani Tokyo”
On our first two days at the New Otani we were curious about the stern-looking policemen on every floor and every few meters surrounding the hotel. Turns out that Russian heads of state were also being quartered at the hotel, and when they left, the scores of Japanese policemen also left. Our view on the 27th floor of Akasaka Palace was enjoyable and invigorating, and the maid's service was outstanding. I wish there had been available a double/King bed for me and my husband, but we adjusted to the two twin beds to stay on a non-smoking floor. The garden is worth a visit. I was pleased at the many restaurants friendly to foreigners in Akasaka, just a few blocks away. There was also a close by 24 hour Fed Ex/Kinko's for business.
