1. Kind Staff The front staff speak English. Even if they can't help you, they provide printed materials explained in English. And everyone is really kind, so even if communication is difficult, they express everything with their bodies! 2. Delicious Breakfast I couldn't find a surprisingly good restaurant on Ishigaki Island. Maybe that's why the breakfast at the accommodation was very delicious. In fact, when I saw reviews saying the breakfast was delicious and looked at the photos, I thought, 'Is it really that good?' but it truly was delicious! I think it might be because it's not salty. It seems to be a homestyle! Maybe because it's an island village, most restaurants are quite salty. 3. Well-Maintained Bicycles They provide free bicycle rentals, and surprisingly, they go really well. It's great for going to Don Quijote or nearby big supermarkets. It takes about 15 minutes to ride there. The accessibility is good. 4. Good Room Condition I'm sensitive to smells, and I find it tough if there's cigarette smoke or a musty smell, but there was none of that. The bed sheets were clean, as were the blankets and pillows. I can't say enough about the bathroom! It was really clean. The room cleaning was done very well without touching any other items, only the cleaning I requested. I was very satisfied with this. Also, if you request cleaning and towel changes, you can accumulate points that can be used like money at partner companies. I couldn't use it because I had to leave early on the last day, but I heard the validity period is two years, haha! I think I'll come back here next time I visit Ishigaki Island. Also, when the sun rises here, the UV rays are really strong. I got sunburned badly after swimming in the ocean with my back exposed. Make sure to apply sunscreen heavily! And I hope you definitely visit Hatoma Island when the weather is nice. The ocean is really beautiful, and you can see turtles in shallow areas. Have a great trip!
