Good Hotel to stay!”
I stayed at Hotel Solo Sukhumvit 2 for 13days alone and I must have say everything was good. The location is near to the NaNa Train Station for about 5mins walk to get there. The room is nice with the smart TV and Netflix for free. I mostly spending time stayed in the room and watch movie from Netflix more than I go outside. Room clean and staffs are friendly and the price is ok and since Covid-19 disease offensive in Bangkok so they decided to close the restaurant but there are many restaurants around the hotel only 5-10mins walk you can find delicious foods. There is a roof top bar with small pool that we can swim. The bar is closed but the pool is open. If you go to Bangkok and looking for place to stay I recommend you to this hotel.

OVERALL: good price for the location, rooms are a bit old, don't expect 4 star quality. ROOM: The rooms are a bit dated. They look like they were last renovated about 10 years ago. They are very clean, however, everything is a bit dated. It is definitely not 4 star standard by any means. The rooms are quite large, with separate spaces for the shower and the toilet. Wifi is pretty fast. Windows are not great for blocking out sound, but luckily the street is pretty quiet at night. FACILITIES: Again, the hotel is not 4 star standard. There is breakfast at a mini-cafe area. However, it is very small and rarely staffed. There is a rooftop pool and bar. I never used either so I can't say if it's good or bad. The pool closes at 9PM. I would say, think of it as a middle-aged 3 star hotel. That's the vibe here. STAFF: Very friendly. They don't have many people though. I think I saw the same 2-3 people working the front desk throughout my stay. I think the cleaning lady was also the same. She was great by the way. Everyone is nice and will definitely try to help you when asked. Just beware that they work long hours and can be a bit tired. LOCATION: The hotel is located on Soi 2, near the end of the street. It's a dead end so to get to parallel streets you have to walk back up to Sukhumvit Road. It's a little far, maybe 7-10 minutes. And to the closest BTS station, Phloen Chit, it is about 15 minutes walking. So the location is pretty good, but not great. Their sign says there is a shuttle to the city, but I never saw one. Then again, I never asked.

This hotel is a hidden gem and great value. I had stayed at this hotel numerous times and very pleased with every stay. The room and facilities are up kept and very clean. The staff are very courteous and accommodating. The location is a little farther however the hotel provides shuttle service to the main street.
Needs a total revamp”
While the hotel was surface clean e.g. the sheets and towels were clean, more permanent things like the curtains were dirty. The place is in need of a total makeover - there were chips in the sink, dirty marks all over the walls, stains on the chairs, leather peeling off the office chair. Communal areas were OK, but the cushions were not out in the pool area, and it is right beside the highway so not a place you want to hang out anyway. Everything just seems a bit uncared for. The location looks ok on the map, but is a dead end street which is a bit of a pain to get to by car. However they do offer a free tuk tuk to and from the Sukhumvit and it's only a 5 min walk from there to the BTS. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Staff were also helpful and friendly.
Good location, good stay but with a few kinks”
Staff are friendly. The location is near to a lot of major malls in the area as well as some good places to eat. Its located right in the middle of the city, and about 20 min taxi ride to Chatuchak market. There are previous statements saying how the walk towards the hotel from the main road is dim but they pretty much fixed that. Its bright now and i have no problems walking to the nearest BTS station (about 10-15mins walk) at night. BUT there isnt any 7-11 near there so you might need to walk out quite a way to get to it. As for the hotel, its decent in cleanliness, if youre not very picky its quite clean. Nothing much to complain about. The air con is great, its cold, and blows air well. The shower head is old and needs to change though. Also, the blinds for covering the shower is on the outside and needs some repairs. My room has a part where the blinds are broken i think it would be nice to have a curtain or something for better privacy.
