Hotels near Airport Rail Link Lat Krabang Station

I travel to thailand 3 times a year, and on leaving thailand I am always looking for a hotel near the airport for a one night stop prior to taking an early morning flight. The hotel is situated at the far end of King Cow Rd (Thannon Kieng Kiew)just after soi 8. It is realistically a 20 - 30 min journey to the Depature Hall at Suwanapoom (Suvarnabhumi) Airport. On arrival check in was simple and efficient. The staff were curtious and plesant, and expecting my family and I, I didn't even have to produce a paper copy of my agoda booking. I had booked a double room with extra bed for my seven year old daughter. The room was spacious and clean. The room service menu we found out later is more extensive and in some cases cheaper than dining in the restaurant. The only thing that let it down was the water pressure in the shower was not too good. The restaurant served excellent foriegn cuisine , my wife is thai and reserved her comments on the thai food as it seems it was prepared to suit foriegn tastes. They also (as is the thai way) served all courses at once, all together. The breakfast buffet had lots of healthy selection but don't expect to get a full english (hot dogs instead of bangers, streaky crispy bacon american style, not back bacon english style). Good sized very clean swimming pool, nice bar for a quick beer. For families if you are flying out of Bangkok with an early to mid morning check in it is hard to beat for value and comfort. For solo travellers with cabin baggage only; I would say there are better deals down town near the Airport Rail Link stations. Would I stay again, Yes. I used to stay in hotels around the airport. Most are not worth it. Poorly maintained, noisey and full of mosquitoes.

The Miracle Transit hotel is located on the airside part of the terminal. Actually on the departure side. As transit passenger you don't have to pass immigration and all that hassle. There are just two things to know: After arrival you have to go one level up and pass the security check for connecting flights. Then locate where you are and know which of the hotels you booked (there are two according info staff) The signing on the BKK airport is marginal at the best and the electronic info boards are not detailed enough to help... so expect a bit of search to find the hotel. The hotel itself is booked by the hour. I booked via Agoda for one night. After payment I got the booking confirmation mentioning for 6 hours only. This was the first time I have seen it. May be it was in the fine print some where before, but the contract from Agoda with them is for a 6 hours stay only - not a night! I paid 2 additional hours for 36US$ which is a lot compared to the price I booked before - kind of a rip off. I would not book it this way anymore - sorry! But as I said, may be it was written in the fine print before that is NOT a night, as mentioned and expected. As summary I have to say, it was ok and gave me a good rest. Very basic facilities but clean and quiet. I may use it again

Location is good, you'll just have to ask fo a cab to take you to the airport rail link and from there you can take the train to the city center. but from the city center, you have to travel back to the hotel again which would likely take 45 mins. so i wouldn't really recommend it if you were to go back and forth to the city center. the location is close to the airport though. Great staff, great service and good breakfast :)

Our stay was good and we received good value at this "budget" hotel. Dwella is a fairly new hotel located very close to the BKK airport. Some airplane take-offs are fairly loud in the room, but this did not bother us, we slept well. In room WiFi was a bit slow. Bed/mattress was Thai standard - fairly hard compared to what you find in most other countries. Good shower. There are no decent restaurants or even a 7-11 within walking distance, but fortunately Dwella's own restaurant does a decent job with Thai dishes. The neighborhood around this hotel is not an area anyone would want to walk around anyway. For each night you stay at Dwella, the hotel provides one free round-trip service by van to/from the Suvarnabhumi Airport. They normally make one round-trip per hour, starting at the top of each hour from the hotel (takes 15 to 20 minutes each way). As such, it is possible to take the van to the airport and then catch a train that links into Bangkok's metro rail system, if you want to go into the city. Tell the hotel when they can pick you up at the airport. This worked well for us and made booking with Dwella worthwhile.

Stayed 1 night in Superior room (incl breakfast deal). Had some business to do near Airport, so chose this hotel for its location. Easy to find using Google maps. Car parking no problem, although limited in front of the hotel. Checkin fast and easy with Agoda voucher. Reception staff very pleasant. Room was large, clean and exactly same as Agoda photos. Kingsize bed comfortable. Aircon very efficient. Bathroom clean. Good shower. Our room faced the busy front street (Ladkrabang Rd), but traffic noise was almost inaudible. Certainly not a problem for us, however, the rear rooms would certainly be a little quieter I think. We had evening meal in the hotel restaurant. Extensive Thai and Western menu. Very good. Buffet style breakfast in same restaurant. Reasonable Western selection. Good Thai selection. All good. Overall, a very nice hotel near Airport. Staff, rooms, meals all very satisfactory. Would stay again.

About 15min away from Suvarnabhumi airport. You can even request for a drop off to the nearest airport rail station Lat Krabang for a ride down o city area. Journey to city area via airport rail link is around 45min to 1hour and is an alternative to skip the Bangkok jam. Traveling back to Lilac from city area could be challenging unless u consider using the ride apps, as not many drivers frequent that area (which is more of a residential area in the outskirts).

The hotel itself is nice, clean and basic but I got more than I expected in terms of value for money. The room was spacious, clean and cool when I walked in. There is a fridge and private bathroom which for the money is very good value. The one thing that stands out about this hotel is the staff. On my second and last night I returned from the Bangkok weekend market without any money. All three ATMs were out of service and I was a little concerned. The following morning the ATMs were still out and I explained my situation to the staff. One of the staff called Pol immediately took out his own money and gave me 100 bht with directions to the mall with working ATMs. He then decided he would take me as his shift was ending and he escorted me via local mini bus which is a pickup kitted out with chairs. He personally took me to the ATM, made sure I came right and then back to the bus stop, waited for the bus and told the bus driver where to drop me off. What a legend. This is what it's all about. The staff were all generally quite good but this particular guy stood head and shoulders above the rest. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt when I return to this beautiful country I will stay at the Phoenix again and I hope when I do to see Pol in a management position if he isn't already in one. He is a credit to she country and an absolute invaluable asset to the hotel. I couldn't fault the place. I'm terms of the hotel itself it's very good value for money and with the free pickup and drop off from the hotel and the friendly staff it's an absolutely exceptional place to stay for the weary traveler who just wants to get there and sleep with no dramas. It's close to the airport rail link which will get you to BKK with ease and in comfort. Thanks again to the friendly staff and especially Pol who I hope so much will be valued as an asset by the hotel as he absolutely should be - what a legend. Situated close to the airport with transfers provided on request (both for arriving/departing or simply catching the Rail Link to town)this hotel is neat, clean with a small pool. The rooms are compact, clean and well-equipped (including a tea maker/ hairdryer/fridge etc) and have a small balcony. The breakfast is good with 3 choices and food is available throughout the day if required. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

I stayed here for 10 days and it was a very good stay. The hotel is modern and clean. The room is large, has a good bed, nice bathroom, nice HDTV, BBC on the cable, large refrigerator, excellent air conditioner, no musty smell that is common with many tropical hotels, and a safe. The free internet is WIFI only with daily changing username and password…the speed averages only around 1 Mbps download and .2 Mbps upload (speedtest.net) but is adequate. The restaurant is decent and looks very clean in the kitchen. I did not wake up in time to have any breakfasts but I ate a good dinner there almost every night. There is a mini-mart right down at the corner of the hotel’s street. The hotel has a nice coin washer and dryer for the guests…awesome (buy detergent at the mini-mart). All of the staff members are very friendly and very helpful. Best of all is the price. Consider this hotel for not only a close by the airport stay, but for your entire holiday in Bangkok. Yes it is away from the city by the airport, but it is so easy to flag a taxi at the mini-mart to go to the nearest Airport Rail Link (city line) station called Lat Krabang, which is only about a 10 minute/50 baht ride. Then from the Lat Krabang station it is only about a 40 minute/40 baht train ride into the city connecting to the BTS Skytrain transportation link or the MRT subway link before that…so easy. (Pick-up several different maps from the many booths at the airport arrivals level…and buy the best map of Bangkok by Groovymap.com (available from Amazon) before you come). The trains stop running at midnight which is an important consideration if you are a late partier. Ask the hotel staff to write the location of the hotel (Lat Krabang road 24) in Thai on a hotel business card. If you are not a late partier, the amount of money you save by staying out at this nice hotel with the minor inconvenience of about an hour of travel into the city and back is awesome, plus you are near the airport when leaving.

The U-Tiny Boutique Home is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Here are some of the awesome amenities that my partner and I made use of. 1.Shuttle Service: There is a free shuttle service to/from the airport. We made use of this not only for travel, but also for access to the airport express train that goes into central Bangkok, after which you can pick up the skytrain and go all over the city. 2. Food: Each morning there is a lovely breakfast buffet that is friendly to vegetarians. Another note, we went to a Thai cooking class. We brought back some of our dishes and the staff offered to warm these for us and provided plates. 3. Phone: We did not have a Thai SIM card (something I recommend if you will be traveling for a month or more), so the hotel loaned us a phone to make calls from during our time there. This phone was great as it helped us contact the hotel for pick-up at the end of our long day and also helped us schedule activities. Highly recommend!!!

Good little hotel for a couple of night's after, before or between flights. Has everything you'll need for a stopover. Huge rooms, hot water, shampoo, body wash supplied. TV with a couple of English channel's. Free and good WiFi in room. Resturant onsite. While the breakfast is pretty basic, it'll do to get you going. The evening meal I tried was good. Filling and very tasty. Cold beer is available as well. There is other resturant options very close by, and a couple of market's and a mall about 20 mins walk away. Good way to fill some time in. This hotel is handy to the airport. I used both the hotel transfer at 150 baht, which is reasonable. And the short ride taxi which cost me on the meter 125 baht. Don't be fooled by the airport taxi driver saying not to use the meter and trying to charge you 200 baht. Insist on the meter !!! I stayed here twice in 10 day's and will certainly be using this hotel again for my airport stops. Highly recommended.

Not the best area(people) but close to shops and market. Please avoid booking this hotel if you're travelling with kids. Its not the hotel fault but just our bad luck. We came the same day with the chinese tour. Whole night the whole floor was extremely loud and noisy. They kept waking up the kids. The staffs were nice trying their best to help but unfortunately the tour was out of control. You won't be able to get a peaceful stay and sleep. The door issue was built poorly. Not blocking any noise whatsoever. On the other hand they installed some stupid system that you can not leave the door open for more that 3 secs. The alarm will go off like crazy. Can you imagine how are you going to have a peaceful sleep without the interuption from your next door or the whole floor guests.

My wife and I stayed the night of Sunday, 15 August 2010, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We used it for what it is, a convenient overnight stopping hotel very near the airport. The staff were professional and attentive. There are two internet-enabled PCs in the lobby for the use of guests, free of charge, and wireless internet too (though don't take laptop on holiday so can't comment on the wireless). The room was spotless with large flatscreen TV, decent decor, nice bathroom and the double bed was large and very comfortable. There was also a little balcony with ashtray for smokers. I had booked an airport transfer for the following morning at 0645h, they provide one-way to or from the airport, but the driver disappeared somewhere, so the receptionist flagged down a taxi for us straightaway and paid for the trip. This is easily the best hotel I have stayed in on the Ladkrabang Road and will do again when I am in BKK next.

easy access to the hotel from central bangkok, just take the airport rail link city line to lat krabang station and grab a taxi to the hotel. the hotel itself didn´t look that promising from the outside but inside it was clean and comfortable. the pool area was nice as well, massage services of great value and the adjacent riverside restaurant served good food in pretty surroundings. the only minus about the stay was the tv which had mostly only local channels so was of no use.
