"We arrived at the BP Chiang Mai City Hotel after travelling overnight on the train from Ayuthai and received a very warm welcome from the reception staff and had access to our rooms immediately. We were very pleased to find that the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We were able to leave our main luggage at the hotel while we went on a three-day trek. It was also very useful to have the free use of a safety deposit box for this period. Although the decoration in the rooms was a little tired we would have no problem in recommending this hotel to any of our friends who intend visiting Chiang Mai."

"I stayed in a dorm under the roof. The dorm has 2 AC and a washbin. Outside the dorm is the shared toilet and bathroom. The locker for the luggage are to small to put a back pack inside. It's just for your valuables. Everything was very clean. You get a blanket and a pillow but no towel. At the terrace you have a wunderful view over Chiang Mai. Nearby is the somphet market and many temples. It's no problem to find breakfast in the surrounding. "

The perfect location inside the old city in Chiang Mai and a walking distance to the famous Khao Soi Khun Yai. This hostel is clean, the free internet connection is fast, and the food's good. Like what I said to their staff, I will definitely be staying back here whenever I'm in Chiang Mai. Highly recommended hostel. "

"We booked the Roseate Hotel for 2 nights and upon arrival wanted to stay for our full 5 nights in Chiang Mai but they were booked a couple other nights. This hotel was our best experience and value for money by far. We got a room upgrade simply because they had it available. The only thing it didn't include which most other hotels did was breakfast. The staff were very friendly upon arrival, and we left our bags (without any issues) at the hotel for 2 days while we went trekking in the northern hills. The rooms were spacious, the hotel was very well maintained with clean rooms, the rooms had functioning air conditioning, and the rooms had safety boxes. It was beneficial being on the perimeter of the old city as all drivers had no issue accessing our hotel, and everything within the city limits is in walking distance. There were plenty of delicious restaurants nearby. The only area this hotel was a little ways from was the night bizarre on the east end of the city. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend ~$40 CND/ night. "
