"Stayed at this hotel for the first time and had a very pleasant stay. The location is very strategic, being only 5 mins from Chinatown/Pasar Payang and the hotel is surrounded by banks, pharmacies and eateries placed within short walking distance. Guests are offered free parking at the back of the hotel. Upon arrival, the front office staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby is small but clean and inviting. I like how the staff followed the new SOP and provided seats outside of the hotel, in case there are too many guests at one time. It was peak season when we went, but we were lucky there were only a couple of other guests during the check-in process. We did not have to wait too long. There was a rude lady who kept snapping at the staff for being asked to wait a little while as the room was being prepared for them, but the staff remained calm and pleasant and tried to do their best for her. Kudos to them! :) We got the Superior Family Room at the promotional price. It was absolutely value for money. We were thrilled at how spacious the room was. There was a double bed and a single bed for the three of us, and there was probably enough room for another extra bed (not that we needed it). The room came with a little garden balcony "

"Pros: 1. Location wise, perfect, right in the city. 2. Hotel is new, bed was big and comfy, there’s a fridge in each room ( stayed in 2 deluxe 1809, 1811 and a family room 1817) The view was stunning! Absolutely breathtaking! 3. Ample of parking 4. Reasonable rate for the standard of hotel. 5. Very Islamic! There’s a Quran and a Book on Musafir prayers and a prayers mat. 6. Receptionist were friendly! Dilla especially! Cons: 1. U need to check in first before u can access the parking lot. A lot of people were not told earlier and they had to u turn from the barrier of the parking space to the lobby first. Causing inconvenience to other guests. 2. The swimming pool was terrible and dirty! I could see skin flakes swimming around in the kids pool and the water was yellowish! 3. The breakfast buffet was so-so and it was the same almost everyday. Please add more variety! 4. The waiters/servers/cleaners at the breakfast buffet needs to be retrained! Disappointed! "

"On 02/05/2016, I booked 4 rooms (2 Deluxe Twin Rooms and 2 Family Deluxe Rooms for 10 persons) at J Suites Hotel, Kuala Terengganu for 2 nights from 29/05/2016 to 31/05/2016. Agoda had confirmed my booking with booking ID 94409403 and 94409066 on 02/05/2016. Rooms payment has been effected on 02/05/2016 as per my credit card statement dated 19/05/2016. I have paid the bank on 25/05/2016. We checked in to the hotel on 29/05/2016 about 6.30pm. The hotel receptionist informed that my name was not stated in their booking list. There has been no rooms reservation for us. Moreover, the hotel was fully booked. I were unhappy and argued with the receptionist that this is their problem with Agoda. Agoda had confirmed the booking and payment has been made. Meanwhile, I also called Agoda Support for assistance at 03-20531869 twice (@ 6.55pm duration: 4 min 30 sec and 7.01pm duration: 1 min 58 sec - automated phone answering system and the calls were left unattended) and 18666568207 (@ 6.55pm and 7.00pm - calls were cancelled due to incomplete phone number). Finally, one of the hotel staff, Ms Crystal was willing to help. She offered us 2 Deluxe Twin Rooms (room no. 3007 and 3008) for 2 pax each and 1 Family Deluxe Room (room no. 3012) for 3 pax. The remaining 1 Family Deluxe Room which I booked for 3 pax was replaced by 2 Deluxe Double Room with 1 king bed (room no. 3036 and 3037). She said no extra charges as we have made payment to Agoda. The issue was solved and I really appreciated their kind assistance. However, the story did not end here. We experienced power failure for that night, 29/05/2016 about 9.00pm. There were about 7 to 8 rooms affected by the power failure. Our rooms no. 3007, 3012 and 3037 were one of them. The hotel technician has checked and informed that the power failure was due to Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) fuse box problem. They have called TNB to fix the problem and the matter has been tracked until 12.00 midnight. Finally, the problem has been reso"

"We arrived at the hotel after a long drive from Penang and checked in very quickly. We went up to our room and were most pleased at the size and were able to make a well deserved coffee and tea. in the evening we went for a walk to the nearby Chinatown for dinner. Breakfast, while not ideal for a Westerner,, was more than adequate and the staff both pleasant and efficient, especially as the place was extremely full due to a convention at the hotel. Any request was answered immediately and the staff were all extremely helpful as well as being polite. We, and the friends we were travelling with, would happily stay there again and certainly recommend the hotel to others."

"We stayed here twice on two different bookings in between a trip to Kapas Island. The hotel location is great - walking distance to Bus terminal, Shahbandar Jetty, Chinatown and Pasar Payang Central Market. The room is quite spacious and clean. Not many selections for buffet breakfast but overall still good. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant once and love the fried rice there! The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Maybe the only thing we don't like is the wifi - limited access and you have to obtain new username and password each day for the wifi access!"
