"The Kasemsarn is located near the centre of Chanthaburi, very close to the river and a few minutes walk to the town market. The hotel is a modern Thai style hotel with some boutique styling, and the service was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast, a restaurant and a coffee shop are available at the hotel, though it is located only a 2 minute walk from the riverside where there are a number of restaurants, coffee shops and bars easily available. The gem market for which Chanthaburi is famous is about a 5-10 minute walk away. The room was a good size and well maintained and clean, though the bathroom was very small."

"Nicest room in terms of condition that I have ever had when staying at Ntl Chanthaburi. I usually choose here because of the fitness, sauna and fitness facilities. Pool and sauna can get very busy late afternoon onwards. Hotel has a lot of functions. Pool was closed from noon onwards on second day due to a big wedding. Rooms don't have safe, tea or coffee, or robes. "

"Another trip to Chanthaburi, another night at KP Grand... Within walking distance to Robinson Shopping Center, local market, taxi stand, gem trade, restaurants. Accross the road there is a 7/11. The hotel is as relaxed as Chanthaburi city, no pushy vendors or scams here. Would you believe that several times vendors refused the tip I wanted to give??? And almost no farangs here... Unfortunately, Chanthaburi does not have much to offer to tourists. But the city (and KP) is an excellent place to relax for a day, perhaps as a stopover between Kampuchea and BKK. And of course it is Thailands best place to buy gems. "

"Was absolutely blown away by this boutiquey hotel. Rooms and decor were so unique, thoughtful, and beautiful! Bed was super comfortable, bathroom and shower were spotless! It was the price of most guest houses in Thailand, yet so much more than you would usually get! Amazing breakfast included as well. Truth be told, we only stopped briefly in Chantaburi in order to get to Koh Chang, but were pleasantly surprised by this fabulous local riverside city, as well as by our accommodation. 6/5 stars!!!"

"This hotel is perfectly situated in middle of the old city along the river. Great shops and restaurants are everywhere, only a few minutes walking distance away. You can even walk to Robinsons in 20 minutes, and there's an awesome market right next door. We felt safe in the area even walking late at night. The town shuts down early compared to other places we've been. The room was nice enough and fairly clean. The bed was rather hard and not great for sleeping. The shower drain in the bathroom was sloooow and you'd be standing in a puddle in a short time. Nothing majorly wrong. The staff was absent about half the time, which was fine since we didn't really need anything and we didn't ask anyone to clean the room. Fresh towels and sheets are available on the second floor if you want to grab them yourself. Entry at all hours wasn't a problem. There's a nice deck in the back, where we'd enjoy a beer late at night. Bring bug spray."
