I often stay in airport hotels and by far this one was the best I ever bin. Especially if you are able to affort book the executive room or the Junior Suite. The check-in was perfect and separated from the normal check-in, the executive launch is very nice. The breakfast was the best I had in Thailand, very good choices. If you stay there Sunday take also the bruch from 11-15pm, even better than the breakfast. The nicest feature is that breakfast start 3am in the morning!! There is also a pick up service, just go to gate 5 (arrival area), go out and see the Novotel sign, evrery 15 minutes there is a car to pick you up, all perfectly taken care and also the transportation back to the airport. You can also walk to the Novotel, Guess 10-15minutes. Another nice feature is that the sky train is right below the building so you can easily go to the city. The hotel has be rated 5th best airport hotel in the world, so you really can be sure that there was a reason for this. I will for sure not stay in another airport hotel in Thailand anymore.

I have been staying at this hotel for several years now. It is very convenient, the rooms are clean, price is good, staff is good, service is good. Just on the other side of the wall(I will call it) there are several places to eat. Breakfast is warm! A plus in my book! HERE IS A TIP: Do not exchange your money at the airport. They are about 1.5 to 2 baht lower than other places. A local bank is better, but still not up to par. This is the best place to get a good rate to exchange money. Go to superrichthailand dot com This is an actual bank/exchange place. From their website, you can map it, see the rate and see a picture of it in google. The color is green and in google it shows 2 places(one orange) looking like they have the same name. The green one is the one you want. Were the airport was 29.04 baht per USD, this place was 30.71 baht per USD. Speaking of the USD. When you take USD there, take $100 notes (new style) and no older than 2000 series. The lesser denominations you get less of a rate and the older like 1990 series, some places will not take. Back to superrichthailand, from the airport, take the airport link train to the BTS exchange and take that to the BTS Chidlom and get off there. From there, take a taxi or Tuk Tuk the rest of the way. We walked it and it was not far, but a bit difficult to get to, even with a GPS. But, for the better rate, it is worth it. I read a review that someone had ants in their room. The ants are because they did not rinse the coffee cups and left them sit out. This is not just this hotel but any place in the world. Any coffee cup that has had coffee/sugar in it that has not been rinsed will attract ants. Rinse the cups and you will be fine! I would rate this hotel fairly high on a scale but to me it is a transition place for the airport. Great for one night where you can transfer from the airport and then go where you need to go.

The Miracle Transit hotel is located on the airside part of the terminal. Actually on the departure side. As transit passenger you don't have to pass immigration and all that hassle. There are just two things to know: After arrival you have to go one level up and pass the security check for connecting flights. Then locate where you are and know which of the hotels you booked (there are two according info staff) The signing on the BKK airport is marginal at the best and the electronic info boards are not detailed enough to help... so expect a bit of search to find the hotel. The hotel itself is booked by the hour. I booked via Agoda for one night. After payment I got the booking confirmation mentioning for 6 hours only. This was the first time I have seen it. May be it was in the fine print some where before, but the contract from Agoda with them is for a 6 hours stay only - not a night! I paid 2 additional hours for 36US$ which is a lot compared to the price I booked before - kind of a rip off. I would not book it this way anymore - sorry! But as I said, may be it was written in the fine print before that is NOT a night, as mentioned and expected. As summary I have to say, it was ok and gave me a good rest. Very basic facilities but clean and quiet. I may use it again

Easy to see why this hotel is well rated.I have stayed in many hotels near the airport from the Novotel which is five star to the Thong Ta which cost only about $12 a night. I was super impressed with the efficiency of the stuff and their genuine helpfulness. Of course at the price you are paying for this hotel you were not going to have a flash the lobby and a fancy restaurant and a huge buffet like you get in a five star but you will be very comfortable and very happy with the service. They took my luggage within seconds both on arrival and departure, checked me in quickly, answered the phone instantly when I wanted to go have a wake up call for the morning. They obviously are very much focused on customer service. So if you don't mind a very simple yet extremely clean and cute hotel, save almost $200 a night and stay here instead of at the Novotel.

I laid over in this hotel entering Thailand and returned again to layover on leaving Thailand. comfortable clean room (I give it 3 stars by western standard), best thing was the excellent service and airport worry-FREE shuttle, even took me to airport at 3am. This is a decent place to stay over while waiting for connection Flight... the restaurant was decent quality food and all the staff in the hotel were excellent and pleasant, most speaking some English and the front desk personnel spoke very good English.

One of the best budget hotels we have stayed at. The transfer from the airport was first class, we only waited about 10 minutes before the hotel taxi arrived even though we had not booked it and it was after 11pm. Fare was 200 bht round trip. The taxi was on time in the morning. The room was excellent with complimentary coffee (kettle, milk and sugar provided). Although one niggle, the cups were like large egg cups so would recommend you bring your own mugs. The only other minor criticism a new shower curtain was needed in the bathroom. A 7/11 store was at the bottom of the road, about a 5 minute walk. I would certainly recommend Gold Airport Suites and it will be my number one choice when I return next time.

We live in Thailand and have stayed in many hotels throughout the country over a number of years. We werer staying one night to say goodbye to my daughter who was emigrating to Korea. The hotel was minutes away from the Airport so we benefitted from the 2 way transfer. This was on time, no waiting and efficient. Saved me driving and parking at the Airport. Huge plus. Booking in was excellently handled as the English spoken by the staff was very good. Better than most English we hear. The room was large enough to also have a single bed in the room. The balcony overlooked a small lake at the end of the klong, giving a real sense of privacy. Amazingly although next to a main road, with Aircraft flying almost overhead, there was no noise. Considering how close we were to the Airport I was impressed by the peacefulness throughout the hotel. The beds in Thailand are almost always too hard. Whist ours seemed hard at first testing, we noticed that we both slept well with none of the aching backs normally suffered. In fact I would say the bed was excellent. Nice big quilt too. Nice to snuggle under when the Air Con gets going. Excellent again. The deal included a buffet breakfast, which was adequate. A choice of fried eggs, chicken sausage and ham (ABF) and some thai dishes. Lashings of toast and jam, tea, coffee, orange juice etc. Help yourself, which I like as it means I get properly cooked toast. To a Thai, toast means warm bread, not the golden brown we farangs know. The swimming pool looked inviting but time was against us. But a nice size for those looking to relax in the sun for a few hours. I particularly liked the fact that the hotel is with metres of the new bicycle lane which runs into Bangkok. The hotel rents out bikes which actually look reasonably decent ones. Great for those keen types. Fishing in the klong too, and will cook your catch too. Free, you pay for the ingredients only. Judging this hotel against similar in its price range (we paid under Bht900) I

I was doubtful at first when I booked this hotel, the price was extremely low (but well in line with many other airport hotel offerings), and friends who were visiting Thailand at the same time could not believe this hotel would be any good. Here is what I got for my very low rate: -free transfer to and from the airport (when coming from the airport, I went to near exit 4 and asked around for the Floral Shire, then when I found the right person they had my name on a list, and called, 10-15 minutes later we were picked up) -clean room and bathroom -pleasant staff -working air conditioner -working shower with hot water and good pressure -two free bottles of drinking water This hotel isn't luxurious, but was perfect for staying close to the airport. My entire stay was the same cost as my friends' cab ride to their far more expensive hotel. And then they had to get up much earlier than me because their hotel was further away from the airport. And also pay for a hotel. The area is a quiet residential street, though there is a 7-11 at the end of the street and a few street stall type restaurants there if you don't want to eat in the hotel. We didn't eat at the hotel as they were out of noodles, but we went to the end of the street, turned left, and had delicious and cheap food at an open air restaurant.

the hotel is a 2-minute walk down a quiet side street. from one side of the hotel, you can actually see the airport control tower and planes parked on the tarmac, but you never hear noise; only a slight distant rumbling if you stay on the airport view side of the hotel, but nothing at all if you stay on the street side. good staff and excellent small restaurant that services only thai food but only has the menu in english. this food starts from 80 baht a plate and the most expensive dishes are ! very cheap and big portions, perfectly cooked. don't miss their red curry which is delicious and spicy. we have stayed here 4 times, usually 1 or 2 nights only, and will stay for 1 month (got a special price) later this year when my girlfriend has to go to bangkok to sit law exams. the most convenient airport hotel and probably the one with the best price-quality ratio.

We had a 12 hr overnight connection between flights in BKK. Was not clear if our bags would be tagged thru to the final destination, or if we would have to collect our bags and re-check in, for the final international flight segment. As a result of the uncertainty, I only confirmed a hotel after flying the first segment, with the knowledge that bags were to be collected at BKK, with a checkin required the next morning. This hotel had good reviews (not a lot of reviews, but all were pretty good), and the location was 10 to 15 mins from the airport. Other choices were higher price, were further from the airport, or had reviews that suggested some problems. We were able to get to the hotel quickly, using the taxi lineup for "short trips" (so you don't have upset drivers). The Hotel was responsive, the room was magical, we ate dinner... which was delicious, concierge was helpful.... It was a delight. The only issues.... Is a relatively mid size patronage hotel, so is a little quiet & is situated on its own (there is local shops and street vendors nearby, but not like Central Bangkok). The wifi was not working in the evening, and it only began working in the morning... Getting taxis back to the airport was a little challenging for the staff, but they delivered (there are no taxis standing by nearby & bookings seem sketchy). But these issues were relatively minor in our books, given the great room, and great food... We got a good night's sleep, and we're able to get to/from the hotel with plenty of time to have dinner, and checkin in the morning, given our short 12 hours window between flights..... Very good!

Room: Deluxe third floor. We stayed there to more easily catch an early flight from Suv the next day. Nice large room. Very large, comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with separate shower and tub. Free mini-bar, but no alcohol in it. (not a problem for us) Large screen TV. The restaurant is good, and I can definitely recommend the chef's salad and Lobster Bisque. My wife enjoyed her Thai dishes also. The spa does a nice relaxing massage, but is a tad expensive for Bangkok. ($33 per hour and a half) However, there is no cab fare as it is located right beside the main hotel. The hotel was a bit hard to find for our cab driver, but in his defense, it was the first time he had gone there and usually worked downtown Bangkok. The free shuttle left on time in the morning and got us to Suv in about 15 minutes. Now, my one major gripe with the place: wireless internet should be free for the price I paid for the room. I use the internet to check in on flights, check future bookings, etc. I could not believe that the price was 267 baht (~$8) an hour! It was actually cheaper for me to use my Blackberry to check the flights, and the international rates for it are ridiculous also. Personally, I would rather have free internet, and pay for any usage on the mini-bar. As a stopover to be close to the airport for early international flights, this is an excellent choice. Just know that if you must have internet, it's going to cost you. If internet was free, I would actually think of staying there longer whenever we were in Bangkok. I do not know how much cabs would cost to shopping, etc. as we did not go out, but cabs (on the meter) are cheap enough in Bangkok anyway.

We flew in at 8pm and flew out 11.30am the next day so mainly just wanted a hotel with shower, comfy bed and shuttle service from/to the airport. During our tour of asia we've stayed in numerous hotels of various star rating. Previously I'd stayed in a hotel right in the airport but was looking for something less expensive. We were delighted with the Lilac-it ticked all the boxes for us. Most importantly the hotel and shuttle bus were clean and fresh. As arranged, somebody was waiting at Gate 4 with a placard bearing our name upon arrival. I guess this was an agent (probably working for a few smaller airport hotels) who rang the hotel to advise of our arrival. We were asked to sit and wait until the driver arrived. We waited no more than 15 minutes. The shuttle bus was clean and fresh and the driver packed our luggage and took it to our room upon arrival at the hotel. Its about a 15 minute drive to/from the airport. Check in was fast and they asked whether we'd like a wake up call and made arrangements with us for our shuttle service the next morning. The room facilities were shown and a very nice touch, which was unique to the Lilac in our travels, is a small but free selection of goodies in the mini-bar inc 2xbeers, 2xsoft drinks, 2xwater, biscuits, chips, tea/coffee/fresh milk. Free wifi to the room. There was an ad in the room advising that massages could be arranged at 250Bhat for an hours foot massage. Although we never ended going in to town, they did offer to drive us to the local railway station to catch a train in, if required. The bathroom was compact but functional-probably the best shower we'd had in weeks staying at other hotels. The beds/pillows were comfy. The Lilac has a feminine signature about it, inc its colour and decor. From a marketing perspective, this may not be so appealing to men but this aside you could not beat the value, cleanliness and service at Lilac given the low cost. I'd highly recommend it for a stopover.

This was by far the best place that we stayed in all of Thailand! Kata beach both quaint and clean with a little less fuss than Patong beach although it does have its bars still should you choose. When booking the hotel ourselves, we saw a review that said the shops were about a 10 min walk away, this in not quite accurate, more like right across the street, or 5 min max...Maybe a 10 min walk to Starbucks though :) The hotel itself is very clean and has several pools to choose from, as well as scooters that can be rented for around 300 baht a day (which is about the same as you would pay anywhere else) If you stay here, you must rent scooters and go see the big budda as well as some of the local temples. Also maybe use your day on scooters to drive up to the elephant trekking yourself vs. paying a higher price for a service that picks you up at the hotel. CONS: The taxi service to the airport is 800baht to 2 ppl and 1200 baht for say 4 ppl..

This is an awesome hotel with that price tag. The room was beautiful and had all the facilities like a five star. The hotel is close to the airport making it excellent stay for over might transit. The hotel is very well maintained with all friendly smiling people. The pool was also good, the breakfast was good for the price. I would definitely stay there again if I just want to stay in BKK overnight. There are lots of street food near the hotel, but I didn't have a chance to try. The downside of course is that it is far from CBD, but again there is not much they could do. The airport shuttle for was the best.

My flight was rescheduled and I reached at night, looking for a place to crash for a night. Booked this for night. When I reached the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting some cheap motel, but this one for under $30 looked classy hotel. The rooms are spacious, bigger than even some five star hotels I have stayed in Bangkok. Check was easy, staff is friendly. Rooms are clan and big, they have everything that a five star hotel can provide. Only thing is there is nothing much to do around. Other that that everything is five star

Booked this hotel for a night between flights. It was cheap, very close to the airport and did have very nice grounds. However, there's that many trees and you get eaten by mosquitoes - I mean you really do get eaten. I have over 15 bites and used mosquito cream/spray. The majority of these I got throughout the night in the room. They defiantly need to provide a mosquito net or plugin. They do provide a bug zapper but it is not effective at all.Secondly, there is no stated check in time when you book so when you arrive they tell you to wait 30mins in the restaurant area, while your rooms been made ready.You then feel obliged to buy food/drink whilst in there, to which they add a total 10% service charge to the end of the bill - each person eating. I know your not forced to buy food/drink but they know you've probably had a long journey so going to your room straight away you'll just want to shower/sleep so by them telling you to go to the restaurant and the waiter saying 'pad Thai, you want pad tai' you'll be more likely to eat food first - it's not cheap neither but is nice food. When we had finished eating and was told our room was ready (coincidently) we were shown to our room (and walked passed serval made up rooms) and the person showing us entered, wiped dust off the safe and then told us what was free and not free. Obviously hadn't been 'just cleaned'. They do however provide complimentary water, tea and a lovely pool side area. I also seen a rat run into the sauna. The shower curtain also had mould on it and isn't the best shower. Overall though it's ok to use as a bed for the evening as a one night lay over stay

The U-Tiny Boutique Home is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Here are some of the awesome amenities that my partner and I made use of. 1.Shuttle Service: There is a free shuttle service to/from the airport. We made use of this not only for travel, but also for access to the airport express train that goes into central Bangkok, after which you can pick up the skytrain and go all over the city. 2. Food: Each morning there is a lovely breakfast buffet that is friendly to vegetarians. Another note, we went to a Thai cooking class. We brought back some of our dishes and the staff offered to warm these for us and provided plates. 3. Phone: We did not have a Thai SIM card (something I recommend if you will be traveling for a month or more), so the hotel loaned us a phone to make calls from during our time there. This phone was great as it helped us contact the hotel for pick-up at the end of our long day and also helped us schedule activities. Highly recommend!!!

Very good accommodation - which is close to the airport but pay attention the hotels which are indicated in the vicinity of the airport are actually a bit farther away from the airport than indicated by the booking-website…the booking website just mentions the linear distance and because of all the bends and curves the real distance is much bigger (indicated was about 2,5km- but in reality it was about 7km so I had to take a taxi- costs about 150bahts- so about 4 euro)

There are several cheap hotels on this street but this one is excellent for 2 reasons: airport pickup and close to good mall. Note: for pickup just ask all the small hotel people milling around door 4. Regent does have a sign but your name is probably on it. You may wait a few minutes for the ride as they try to consolidate. Agoda checkin was smooth. Elevator to 4th floor room which was not 5 star (small chips out of furniture etc.) but was large and mine came with air, fridge and balcony. The shopping centre is only about 2 blocks away and has everything you need including cheaper stores. Many cheap restaurants and a few in the "food court" (closer to the road) with $3 Thai meals. Wake-call was correct and staff are cordial without being over-friendly. Just want I want with an airport layover. Well done Regent!

Not the best area(people) but close to shops and market. Please avoid booking this hotel if you're travelling with kids. Its not the hotel fault but just our bad luck. We came the same day with the chinese tour. Whole night the whole floor was extremely loud and noisy. They kept waking up the kids. The staffs were nice trying their best to help but unfortunately the tour was out of control. You won't be able to get a peaceful stay and sleep. The door issue was built poorly. Not blocking any noise whatsoever. On the other hand they installed some stupid system that you can not leave the door open for more that 3 secs. The alarm will go off like crazy. Can you imagine how are you going to have a peaceful sleep without the interuption from your next door or the whole floor guests.

My wife and I stayed the night of Sunday, 15 August 2010, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We used it for what it is, a convenient overnight stopping hotel very near the airport. The staff were professional and attentive. There are two internet-enabled PCs in the lobby for the use of guests, free of charge, and wireless internet too (though don't take laptop on holiday so can't comment on the wireless). The room was spotless with large flatscreen TV, decent decor, nice bathroom and the double bed was large and very comfortable. There was also a little balcony with ashtray for smokers. I had booked an airport transfer for the following morning at 0645h, they provide one-way to or from the airport, but the driver disappeared somewhere, so the receptionist flagged down a taxi for us straightaway and paid for the trip. This is easily the best hotel I have stayed in on the Ladkrabang Road and will do again when I am in BKK next.

Its total value for money. At the price we got the hotel we feel extremely happy and satisfied with our choice. ROOM is just perfect, avail a triple bed room if you are more than 2 adults and kids are free to stay if not older than 12 years. THE room is very clean and big too, no matter what type of room you have booked. The best part is wake up call from HOTEL for your flight and free drop. They offer 2 way pick ups also.... to and fro if you want.. During our trip .. we stayed in 5 star hotels throughout our trip and since we were to check in late for an early morning flight we choose this budget hotel but fell 100% satisfied. Highly recommened and trust my words you wont complain on the cleanliness and freshness of the rooms as most rooms are with a open air balcony. Must compliment on super clean washroom.
