"We had a really long journey to get to Surat Thani and we didn't feel like dealing with a ferry journey to the islands late at night so we decided to stay in Donsak for the night. A shuttle service dropped us off at the bungalows and as soon as we arrived the staff asked us if we had eaten (we were ravenous) and within five minutes of our arrival we had been shown to our bungalow and had been provided with room service: drinks and a delicious meal. The bungalows are basic but pleasant, with aircon and TV which had some English movie channels. The staff also arranged to drop us off at the pier the next morning and we had breakfast room service as well. All in all I cannot fault it; and the location is fantastic to get to the islands. A ticket to Ko Phangan cost us 350 baht each and took a bit over an hour. The price is so reasonable and it was very convenient for us. "

"So so hotel due to the location near the pier which is a bit noisy. The bed is a bit on the small side...but the room is clean. Staff needs some English lessons to speak at least a minimum... but very helpful man to help me carry my luggage up the stairs, respect! The lady at the breakfast was not friendly at all. Overall ok for one night if you gotta be close to the pier to go to koh samui or koh phangan. "

"This is the perfect place to stay if you need to be close to the Lomprayah Pier! There is absolutely nothing in the area since it is meant for either a place to stay near the pier or if you have your own wheels to get around… This place was incredibly peaceful in a beautiful (and meticulously maintained) garden setting. Sitting outside on the balcony reading a book in peace and quiet was so welcoming! The rooms are simple and quaint and provide everything you need. My only complaint is that the pillows are too high and too stiff. The on-site restaurant was fantastic and if you know your thai dishes (and their thai names), you can order things that are not on their current simple menu! The home cooked thai food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. They even asked us if we would like breakfast and what we would like to have and at what time so that they knew when to be ready for us. The owners are absolutely lovely people and provide a fabulous family atmosphere. They are genuinely kind and generous - they even gave us two free bottles of water upon our departure and offered a complimentary ride to the Lomprayah pier. All in all, I would definitely stay again - I would not even bother looking at any other hotel/resort in the Don Sak area. "
