"Arrived late at Chitose airport so had to catch a taxi to Rusutsu, the airport information desk arranged for taxi service. It took about 1.75 hours and the taxi was not going particularly fast. Finally arrived Rusutsu area and the whole place appears to be a ski resort or a huge amusement park with a lot of rides. So I knew this placed is designed for active entertainment. Upon arrival at the main door, there is huge merry-go-round which confused me. Because it was a weekend, there were a lot of people which made it even more confusing. I thought I was at the wrong end of the resort. The staff saw me looking around with luggage and guided me to the elevator that took me upstairs to the reception. Then suddenly it was all calm and a familiar hotel reception environment, and very quickly I was guided to my room and advised dinner is ending soon. The staff do not naturally speak english, but they really try their best to convey the message. So I really appreciate it, instead of having to order room service. Next morning I woke early and looked around. Skiing being a damp went environment, I was surprised to find the whole place so clean. Even the locker rooms, toilet, ticket counters, area just outside the ski resort. It was easy to buy the ski ticket, signs are very clear. Since it was end of season, and about 90% of the lifts were open, ski tickets were on 50% sale. Well worth it since it was still snowing outside. The breakfast was very good, so was lunch and dinner. The skiing is always good with so much fresh snow, so no complaints there. I would recommend this place to anybody."
