"I've stayed at the Eastin Grand Sathorn twice now. I chose it because of its proximity to the Myanmar Embassy and the BTS, but besides that it represents one of the best values in high-end hotels in the entire city, with great staff, amazing amenities, an excellent gym, the best access to the BTS you could hope for, great breakfast, and even some wonderful street food options right out the front door. I couldn't recommend the place more and unless I have to stay in another part of the city for business reasons, this is the hotel I will always stay at when visiting Bangkok."

"This hotel is something difficult to describe. The hotel is amazing, really really beautiful, 5 stars and plus, but mmmm, for Bangkok really can be better. We book a club room and was ok, I mean, is 5 stars and all amazing you want, but the club is not the best in town, the room is not the best in town, the location is not too good, and is not cheap specially the restaurants and bar in roof, but you can say “yes, is amazing anyway”. Like I say, is difficult to explain, is good but not enough for the price, that’s the point. Anyway if find a good price & promotion, will come back yes or yes, but if too expensive, I will choose another. Also, the hotel should have different elevators for hotel guests and visitors to the sky bar. In night is almost impossible to take the elevator because have hundreds of people doing line to go to the roof."

"Very seldom do I write reviews for hotel stays but I feel that I will be doing Mode Sathorn a great injustice if I don't write this one for her. For the price we pay, it's definitely one of the best stays for all my years of travelling. The check-in late at night was fuss free and we got a room with 2 queen size beds. We requested for a king bed room and got put into a waiting list because the hotel was fully booked that day. The wait was pretty long but in the end we got what we wanted the next night. Welcome drink coupons were issued upon check-in and you are free to visit the bar or restaurant to redeem the drinks. And not those fruit punch crap but real drinks. You can order your free beers, cocktails, soft drinks, etc. We went to their Theater Bar late one night to chill and enjoy our free drinks. Theater Bar is great. Lovely and modern decor accompanied with trendy music. Definitely makes you feel like clubbing when you step in. Never expected the breakfast to be good. There are plenty of variety on offer. You won't get bored. The free Wifi provided is awesome. I always have problems with crappy Wifi connection during my overseas travel but Mode Sathorn's Wifi is fast and reliable! The king-size bed, pillows, quilt are all super comfortable, comparable to those on offer at 5 stars hotel. Once you sink in, you not want to get up. Air-conditioning works great. At some points we had to off them cause it got so cold. lol. But we are not complaining. Tip: Location is great. This hotel is just next to Surasak BTS so use this as your launch pad for your moving about in Bangkok cause the traffic can be horrendous."

"We stayed 3 nights and 4 days in the new building of the hotel. I first booked a room in the old building which cost mebaht each night; but upon my arrival, a receptionist recommended me to try a room in the new building, which was a great advice. I added 300 baht more per night in order to get the room from the new building; , which was not bad at all. The decoration was just finished a month ago. The room was not too big and too small but everything is very new and clean. Air-con is perfect; shower and bath tub were very new and we loved it. We stayed on the 5th floor and it was just around the corner of the private swimming pool. The hotel is situated in a great location because it is near China Town, the river, Silom, and other important tourist attractions. Don't expect much about the included breakfast; the food is so plain but over-priced. Wi-fi is free from the new building; you have to pay 100 baht extra to get the Wi-fi if you want to stay in the old building. Most staff at the hotel were friendly, especially those who don't work at the front desk..."
