"The location is superb, just next to subway station, and the few lower floors of the building are retail shops and restaurants. Beautiful design hotel, comfortable, brand new, and kindly assisted staffs. There was no buffet breakfast on the day we stayed as was not much guests, but the a la carte dishes were quality and compromised. There was no amenity kits in the room. "

"Me and my wife booked for a one night stay at Grand China Hotel. We weren't expecting that much since we book a normal deluxe room. Then upon check-in, our rooms were upgraded to a suite. The hotel room was well maintained and the buffet breakfast composed of western and thai-chinese dishes. Hotel location also was near Samphaeng market, nearby tesco supermaket, lots of street foods as well. In the ground floor of Grand China Hotel have Starbucks and a small chinese restaurant. Their Claypot rice Salmon was very delicious and they also serve dimsums. We will surely book this hotel again if we come and visit Yaowarat."

The area is in Chinatown and about 15 mins walk from mrt. Cons: traffic is much to be desired. Only has one washing machine and one dryer, which necessitate long waiting times. Some prostitution on the street across. Summary: excellent for the advanturous traveller who wants a cheap but excellent place to stay in bkk. Probably be a 4 star hotel if they provide laundry service. "
