"We were impressed with the resort and pool - we definitely weren't expecting what we got because we paid such a low price. This place is very good value for money!! The staff were very friendly and helpful too. However, there are some things you need to know, especially for families with young children. The pool, although very clean, has no cover so hats and sunscreen are a must. There is also no barrier separating the deep pool from the children's pool, so you need to be watching your children AT ALL TIMES! It is very easy for them to be walking along in the children's pool and all of a sudden step onto ground that is too deep for them to stand. I highly recommend the hotel put a barrier there before something happens. Luck Swan is also a few kms out of town which is great for those who have a car or tour guides picking them up, but not for those who want to be able to walk to the night market. The only other thing is that it seems to be a popular place for meetings and large tours, which meant that for both nights during our stay there were tour groups from other asian countries that arrived late at night and were yelling near our door (past 10pm). This, of course, is not the hotel's fault. But just something to be aware of. It can happen at any place. If this becomes a problem it would be good for the hotel to put up signs asking guests to be mindful of others. For those with a low budget who want a clean, professional hotel with a swimming pool, and have your own transport to the places you need to go in Chiang Rai, Luck Swan is a great choice."
