"Not far from Keelung Station and very close to Miaokou Night Market. Staffs are friendly but the guy who is the receptionist at night doesn't know English. You earn a free drink per night. Suggest you use taxi to go back/forth from Taoyuan Airport for more convenient (I used Airport MRT to Taipei Main Station and Rail from TMS to Keelung, not a good choice)."

"Hotel was able to let me check in despite arriving early before 1pm (normal check in at 3pm). Simple nice hotel with simple breakfast (congee with many dishes and toast). I had booked a room with harbor view and the view was nice though it rained the 2 days I was there. Best thing about the hotel is the excellent location near the train and bus stations. It is also a 5-min walk to the famous Miaokou night market. 2 minutes away is also the local famous pastry shop 李鹄饼店 which has excellent green mung bean pastry 绿豆沙饼 and pretty good pineapple tart as well."

"Very pleasant and comfortable stay. The hotel is located in the heart of Keelung, only 5 minutes walk from Miaokou night market and roughly the same to the bus terminal if you're travelling to Taipei. Despite staying in the smallest economy room, it had all the features including TV, bedside table, dressing table, bar fridge, a shelf with a beam to hang clothes in. I even had space to stow my luggage and do TaeBo to burn off the excess calories consumed. When you want your room serviced, just let reception know. They will do the usual house-keeping routine plus restock you with bottled water, and toiletries including disposable cloth slippers that were pretty comfy. Customer service at E-coast is top notch. The staff are polite and friendly, will stand up when you enter/leave the building and even take a slight bow as you get in the elevator. They'll mind your luggage if you arrive early or if you've checked out but have a late flight. They can also arrange a taxi to Taoyuan airport for a low fixed cost of NT 1100. 5/5 and will stay there again in the future."
