Hotels near Old Chiangmai Cultural Center

The staff is attentive and friendly making you welcome, the hotel design is recent but uses traditional wood carving and Northern Thai elements. This is a boutique resort more than anything else. Breakfast was plenty full and they even made special food arrangement at no extra charge. Small croissants can be toasted and variety of fruits as well as Asian dishes are available. I would not choose this hotel if I came with my family, as this a couple retreat - it is not far from the city center but a tuk tuk is required (150 THB) every time to go out - return is usually 100-120 THB which is very reasonable. The room we had selected was the Skyroof suite on the 7th floor, it was beautifully appointed with quality bedding, towels, large outdoor shower, the soap and beauty products are also quality Thai made, nothing is missing. They also have candles and candle holder if you wish to create a romantic mood. The outdoor jacuzzi is one of the best amenity of the room with ambiance lighting and foam you just have to kick back relax, poor yourself a glass of wine and admire the stars. Some stains on the carpet were cleaned but left some large spots - this should be attended but clearly not a deal breaker. We are hygiene freak and the bathroom, jacuzzi and bedding were spotless. The only negative comment we would have to say about this hotel is the lack of noise insulation - the street is a quiet residential sub soi so traffic is not an issue but the neighbours' dogs are going at it all night which is a real annoyance. We love dogs but these are most likely stray dogs that are roaming the streets and walking up the other dogs in the street.

Not believing the reviews, we checked the hotel out before booking it. We're shown a room which looked as good as the photos if not better. Hearing the staffs call it 'sample room', we enquired about the word 'sample'. We're told that the actual room would be exactly as the sample room. Harmony Resort delivered. Our 2 bedrooms unit was spacious, new and clean. Beds were very comfortable. All three air cond units worked efficiently. Bathroom fittings were of good quality. We're happy with the large flat screen TV in the living room as well as in the main bedroom. The washing machine was a surprise welcome.. Staffs were professional and courteous, from the guards at the gate to the reception, the cleaning lady to the restaurant. Breakfast were plentiful and had selections of both western and Asian. We noticed that the food was topped up regularly even up to its closing time. The hotel had mostly Chinese guests coming in big coaches. Our concerns that they'd be loud and had manner issues were unfounded. Speaking to the cleaning lady, she said her Chinese guests were one of the best ones she had served. Our first reaction was 'Oh?' It appeared that she was right. During our four nights stay, we had no issue with them at all. One final note, with three of us, our two bedroom unit was specifically designed to cater for three guests. The table setting had a nice teapot set including teacups and saucepans. However, there were only 2 teacups and saucepans. We thought one cup was missing by mistake but later found that it was intentional. The reception acknowledged that the shortfall of teacup number was at odd with other amenities but said that it was the hotel's instruction to provide only two teacups. On request, they could only give us an ordinary coffee mug for our third guest. May be the management should review this. We have already booked Harmony hotel for our next return visit to Chiangmai. This time hopefully there'll three set

I gave a 10,because I never use my rights to make someone's hardworking in vain.To be honest,hotel upgrade one room to a bigger one,I appreciate.We had a very earlier flight,so we paid reception to have a private transfer to the airport next morning,but when we check-out we noticed that we need to share the van with others.I mean,at first I book this hotel cause I noticed it is very close to the airport,we don't care spend money to have a transfer,but Private and Share that is two different conception.This is only one thing I have to critical!It is so closed to the airport,we paid times of the price as a private van.Next time if you got some Chinese business pls notice this,this is our culture,we don't like to share with other group,cause we paid a PRIVATE one.That is not fair to us!

We had a really nice stay at the San Pareni Hotel, slept like logs and enjoyed one of the best breakfasts we have had during the past six years of travelling around Thailand. We wanted to stay an extra night but the hotel was fully booked, we waited until 14.00 just in case someone cancelled then had to look for another hotel. This is a really nice place, just outside the city and not far from the airport, 5*

The Xym is a small but clean hotel near Airport Central Mall, The Saturday Night market and right across the street from the Old Chiangmai Cultural center and and a daily night market. My stay at the Xym is always good. The rooms are clean, the staff are great and the bed is comfortable. The only negative this time around was the pool wasn't cleaned, one of the tiles as you step in the pool was broken and the roof patio paint was peelin which made using the pool not so desirable. But this may also be b/c it's been raining a lot and they haven't had time to repair & upkeep the outdoor area.

We stayed here because of the proximity to friends and the airport. The old city of Chiang Mai is 30 minutes away. Hotel provided airport transportation and adequate breakfast. (Make sure you ask for espresso or you get instant.) Staff was very helpful. Large room, comfortable king sized bed with interesting room decor. The road was a little loud if you are a light sleeper.

Good place to stay but I think the price should be lower I really love decoration of the room. The place is near supermarket and saturday night market but far away from urban but not that much, if you want to travel around ChiangMai you can use grab taxi app to make it easier. Staffs are good and have service mind. If I have a chance to be back I will stay here again for sure. ps. there is no elevator and the stairs are dangerous. If you dont have any problem with this (like joint problem), it is one of the best choice to stay here.

We stayed here about 10 days ago (sorry for the late review guys!) This place is a brand new condo with residents and the company rents out some of the units. It is in the perfect location, which was why we initially chose it, as it was close to the airport. Upon arrival I was so surprised the guy spoke English, in fact PERFECT English. He had such a great personality too. The unit we checked into was like a bachelor's apartment and he told us we were the first ones to ever use the unit! Wow. It still had the smell of brand new. It was probably one of the best sleeps we ever had (perfect before a flight) because of the comfy beds and sheets, and it was immaculately clean. Hot water and fast wifi, plus it had a fridge and a kettle. The location is off of the main road with a Pizza Hut at the corner, big shopping centre across the road, plus a couple of local restaurants just outside the building, so finding food and drinks is of no problem. If you are nervous about taxis in the morning, there is no need to be. We walked two minutes to the main road and found a taxi within a few minutes. The only things I would suggest is make sure your TV has the intenna, as ours didn't and the receptionist had already left for the night. Plus it would be nice if they added a lamp for the bedside table. (All such minor things). Sereno is well worth the money for sure!

My cousin and I stayed at 3 different places during our stay on Thailand. I'd have to say We Terminal was the best out of those 3. As soon as we arrived, the staff was already so helpful with getting our bags and helping bring them up to our room. The room was a very cute, clean, and private dormitory for you and your group. What my cousin and I appreciated even more was the fact that the hotel provided you with unlimited complimentary water bottles during your stay so you can take them on the go with you once you're out exploring and sightseeing. The hotel also had a complimentary breakfast from 7AM-10AM which I hadn't even known about until the day I checked in which was a plus. The breakfast had a variety of choices for you to choose from and the food was good as well. This definitely helped my cousin to start our day with full energy to explore the city. One last thing I loved about this hotel was the complimentary shuttle that could take you to nearby tourist locations in Chiang Mai, whether it be the City Square w the temples, weekend market, airport, etc. This saved us some more baht to spend on other things rather than transportation. The staff was very helpful and friendly and always at your service with anything you may need. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for an overall great stay and hotel experience. :)

We stay three nights and it was one of the best places we stayed in Thailand. And we stay at a lot of places in about two years in Thailand in total. The Hotel is a little bit of the main road passing the Airport, so if you don't have own transport it is propably not a good choice. The hotel was less than a year old when we stayed there and everything was spotless clean. Very nice swimming pool and sitting area around it. But the pools where the best part about the place, beautifully decorated with nice furniture and a silent AC. The shiny wooden floors were the special touch to the whole thing, just perfect! Very comfortable bed and pillows. Nothing to complain about at all. Except for the lack of a safety box neither in the room nor at the reception. And maybe the quality of the included breakfast, but we did not expect a lot from it anyway.

Been to Chiangmai and Pai many times and stayed in all kinds of hotels. This one is definitely a must stay for its authentic traditional architecture with amazing details. Especially the front desk building and the central big building. Do walk inside and take picture around in early morning or late afternoon with better light and shadow. The courtyard is very spacious and serene. We got my coffee from 7-11 but realized that they have a coffee shop right in the middle of the courtyard, a good place to sit and relax. The pool do get a lot of kids though and can be noisy at times. We rented a bike very nearby and the location is close to everywhere actually. Room is spacious and staff are very friendly. Breakfast is just fine but the restaurant in the front is pretty good. Most importantly, it's a very good price compared to the quality of stay. We loved it.

Located between airport and old city!! 7/11 and Big C in walking distance, Walking distance to old city!! Hotel is clean.. staffs were very polite except in reception. Thai and continental breakfast available.. There's pool and gym but you have to pay for it. Hotel is spacious with garden and beautiful environment. We stayed in 2 different rooms, new superior and superior. Make sure you choose new one. Overall great value for money

I was in Chiangmai to catch a flight on the next day, the hotel have free transfer pickup from Arcade(bus station) and free transfer to airport which is my reason to stay there. The staff was very kind, I didn't book for the pickup at the bus station because I couldn't find their contact number but when I found it in FB and contact them they arrange the transfer and picked me up within half an hour. The hotel room is clean and in good condition more than I would expected from the room in that price range.

I reserved the room online prior to my trip. I don't think it was necessary and found out, after I arrived, that the price when you walk-in is different than if you book online (cheaper when you walk in). Over all very nice hotel about 10 or so minutes walking distance from the mall/airport. The bed is HUGE, aircon was quiet, I had an LCD TV (not in all rooms, apparently), and hot water. For 395 baht before taxes, this was a killer deal in my opinion. Staff was very helpful and tidied up the room daily (I stayed 3 nights for a conference). I will stay here again if I go to CM.

Baan Thong Luang Boutique Hotel is located only few kilometers away from Chiang Mai International Airport. It is situated near many cheap restaurants and there is no need to worry if you also need small stuffs as small convenience stores are also there as well. Rooms are a bit small but no problem for simple couple like us. The night market is also accessible as well and you can tour the city just taking the red cab. I will definitely recommend it and come back to this place.
